Animal Medical Center of Gahanna

Came in for urgent care for one of my guinea pigs and the service was excellent! The staff was very caring and compassionate and really showed they care for animals like family members.

Had a grooming appointment with the veteran groomer. I get there and that is not who was assigned to my puppy. I specifically requested the groomer that had been there the longest since he was a puppy and it was his first time. So after talking to the front desk staffer that is who the appointment was scheduled with. Hence the reason I did not bring my puppy on a Saturday because it was explained to me that she does not work on weekends. I was told she was booked up when one of those bookings should have been my puppy. I ended up going back to pick up my puppy. Disappointed because I drove all the way up there for nothing and I had to be to work.

Taylor was so kind and helpful when it came to showing us what to do for Theo’s ears during his infection. She’s the reason why I’m giving this place a 5/5!

Really loved their services for our guinea pig, but have not had a positive experience with my puppy.
Today my husband went in for our second round of shots for our puppy. We had to cancel the original appointment due to a conflict.
We were not notified that by rescheduling we would have to restart her whole shot series, including the December shot because they are combined.
They also charged us for both shot visits, which is a $60 Dr exam, not necessary every visit.
I have already scheduled our next visit with a different practice. I'm shocked and outright frustrated with how much we were charged and the info not communicated.

I cannot say enough about this amazing veterinary office. We have an Akita with serious anxiety issues. We have been blessed to have Dr. Romero to care for our pet. Everyone at AMC has been so attentive and kind to us. Dr. Romero is by far one of the most caring Vets I have ever met and we appreciate him and his love for animals.

Walk ins welcomed but I wouldn’t recommend it. Apparently covid makes vets busy? My dog needed to be seen, I get there and it’s busy (not a problem, I didn’t have an appointment.) they said it would be around a half hour wait (cool, I cleared 2 hours with my boss). Waited an hour, called them for an update and got “oh someone is coming out now” waited 20 more mins before taking my dog to a competent vet. I get that they are busy, but give realistic wait times! If I would have known I would have been there an hour and a half with an older dog in a hot car, I would have made other arrangements. Make an appointment to see this vet. DO NOT EXPECT GOOD SERVICE IF YOU ARE A WALK IN.

Update: My dog died the next day at his regular vet. Burst blood clot in his chest that might have been repairable if he would have gotten treatment earlier.

Brought my cockatiel here yesterday after an unforeseen accident happened with him in the early evening hours. They took good care of him, the staff were friendly, the place was clean too, and overall, good place to go for your little buddy.

We love AMC Gahanna! The staff is gentle and always helpful answering any questions we may have. Even through the last challenging years, the center has always done their best to care for our fuzzy family.

I requested an appointment online to try to get in asap for my sick kitty. They got me in the day I requested which was very surprising as a lot of clinics are weeks out for appointments. From the receptionist, to the tech, to the vet, they were fantastic handling my cat and taking care of her. I would recommend them to anyone!

I had a sudden need to schedule a vet appointment for the dog of a friend who had been hospitalized. The dog needed to go to boarding but no vet records were available. The Animal Medical Center of Gahanna got us in quickly the same day and vaccinated her. I had a second dog in the car and we were able to wait for the appointment in my air conditioned car, until the vet tech came out to get the dog. I left my car running to go in briefly to meet the vet and pay the bill. The vet was super nice and the staff at the desk were friendly and efficient.

Everyone was very nice and I didn't have to wait long. They were prompt in getting results to help my pup

-First, I want to say that I appreciated my latest visit the most. My dog is terrified of the world and is an American staffy. No one was scared. They were so nice and encouraging to him. They also made me feel like I was doing everything right when it came to care for him. They have been patient and encouraging with me as I took my dog there for days before his appointment to get him a bit use to the environment. Overall, the people there are great. I have never not had a good experience.

-All vets cost a pretty penny more than humane society vets.

EVERONE at this office were rock stars (from employees at front desk to finally seeing vetinarian) listening to my pets issues. Dr. Offered options for my pets treatment and our next step if what was done didn't take care of her issues.
