Second great experience with Slabaugh Remodeling in Kent, Ohio.

This is our second review for Slabaugh. We completed our master bathroom remodel in fall of 2019. Early in 2020 we began a conversation around remodeling the laundry/mudroom and the guest half bath. Based on our prior experience, without hesitation we chose to initiate this new project with Anthony, Ryan, Nick, Lee, Tim and the rest of the team at Slabaugh. And then the pandemic arrived.

Our first pleasant experience was the fact that they were very flexible in delaying the project to ensure our and their staff’s safety and health. As a result, we delayed the project for over 3 months and began in late May and decided to complete both projects simultaneously (resulted in cost savings). The laundry room was completely remodeled and the guest bathroom sink, countertop and all the fixtures were updated along with a new accent wall.

As with our previous experience, all phases were completed on time, on budget and to our satisfaction. Their staff were very conscious of the pandemic and practiced distancing, disinfection, masking, etc.to ensure everyone’s safety.

Whenever there are two projects in progress at the same time, there is potential for delays, missing materials, etc. We experienced a couple of minor issues with materials which were immediately addressed and did not cause any issues. Perhaps the biggest pleasant surprise was a decision we had made on a light fixture, it looked good in pictures, however when it was installed it was a total mismatch to the rest of the half bath. To Slabaugh’ s credit, they worked with us to ensure that it was replaced with one that was the perfect match to the rest of the guest bathroom.

As with our last experience, their installers and staff were pleasant, professional and respectful of all the spaces in our home. While they were here, they also took a look at the last project and fixed some items that we had not noticed previously. When they say a “5-year warranty” they truly mean it. As we said previously, we got what we paid for, every penny spent was worth it. They have the utmost integrity and their attention to detail is great. A key to another successful project was their partnership, knowledge and ideas for all the ideas we presented to them during the design phase.

We highly recommend Slabaugh without any hesitation or concern. We do not have other projects on the horizon. However, if there is another in the future, rest assured Slabaugh remodeling is our number one choice and they should be yours also.

Tore up all the carpet on the first and second floors, then replaced with hardwood. They matched my existing hardwood extremely well. Also did a few minor remodeling projects and handled each one well. I appreciated laying out each step of the project.including my anticipated emotional response during the process. Very pleased with the finished products.

I could not be happier with the process and outcome of my complete bathroom renovation! Anthony Slabaugh and team are top notch professionals whose process and communication really do make their renovations stress-free! There's a reason behind their lengthy design and planning process - it makes the actual construction go SO smoothly! There was someone in my home every day, Monday through Friday, and the entire project stayed on schedule. How often does THAT happen with construction? The quality of work is absolutely excellent, too. Anthony's tradespeople are the best of the best in the industry. The tilework in the shower is pure perfection, and the new flat ceiling is stunning! I decided it was time to remodel the main bathroom in my 1920’s era home. Anthony Slabaugh Remodeling & Design was the first contractor to respond to my online request. Ryan reviewed my questions, and responded thoroughly to each. Due to his professionalism and honesty, it was easy to trust Ryan, which is why I chose ASRD to design and implement my remodeling project.

I was impressed with the attention to detail and time Ryan spent with me in the planning phase. The company employs impressive construction software to assist clients in making design choices in line with their budgets. I was able to access my project through a secure website to view the construction schedule, photos, correspondence and financial data.

My design team of Nick and Rita guided me through selecting materials and colors with expertise, creativity and patience. I was able to view 3D images where elements were easily interchanged as the design evolved.

Tim and Kyle managed the delivery of materials, scheduling, and supervision of the construction team. Access to the work area was carefully protected by floor coverings and dust barriers. The remodeling was complex, as the entire bathroom needed to be gutted down to the joists. Because ASRD’s planning was so thorough, the remodeling was done precisely on schedule. ASRD staff responded to requests promptly and courteously, and always delivered what they promised.

The beautiful bathroom looks exactly the way I envisioned it, and I am thrilled with the quality of the materials and craftsmanship. I am so pleased with ASRD that I have asked Ryan for assistance with another project. I highly recommend Anthony Slabaugh Remodeling & Design. They truly are craftsmen with integrity.

After reviewing several customer experiences, we gave them a try for our project. We couldn’t have been happier with the final result. They listened to our ideas, gave us multiple options to consider and the result was gorgeous! You can’t go wrong using Anthony Slabaugh Remodeling and Design.

We began our search for a full scale remodeling and design firm last August. Before they ever came to the house, we met to simply review past projects and outline our desires while understanding their process. After several extensive meetings, it became evident that their partnership would be best for our project.

Our project entailed taking the kitchen down to the studs, completely altering layout, hardwood floor refinishing throughout, stairway and railing work along with extensive molding/painting/carpentry. Upon completing the design and layout, the team was very helpful in choosing all the details: fixtures/back splash tile/paint colors/hardware schemes. They worked closely with us on coordinating appliances and working them into our layout.

We received a complete project book as well as a dynamic schedule located on the Builder Trend app. This outlined every trade, which days they would be onsite, as well as milestone timing for various facets of the project (demo/drywall/cabintery/countertops). When they started, it was outlined as a three month project. They finished almost EXACTLY on time (and within 4% of projected total cost) certainly unique to the industry!

Overall, we found tremendous value in the consistent communication, timeline, and high quality of both the Slabaugh team as well as their trades. We would highly recommend them for any full scale design/remodel without reservation.

Anthony Slabaugh Remodeling & Design just finished creating a bedroom for one of our children in a previously unfinished room over the garage and doing some minor bathroom updates in our Hudson, OH home. From the very first appointment, we knew that we had picked the right contractor to work on our project. They spent a great deal of time getting to know us and our space to come up with a great design. The 5 weeks they were in the home were not too disruptive. All of the trade specialists that came were professional, clean, and did excellent work. I loved having only one person to contact with questions or concerns, and they were handled extremely professionally. Now that we have the new space, we love the way it turned out. I also feel confident knowing that they will come back for several years to fix anything that goes wrong.

* the return of our kitchen to clean, working, order was amazing - I had been prepared for the need to clean/remove dust and was beyond pleased that they had vacuumed cabinet bottoms and drawers, door and window trim, and fully wiped the area. What a blessing!

ASRD is excellent in design, planning, and execution. The entire process from planning the project to finishing touches was so well planned that they made remodeling as painless and smooth a process as possible. Our entire project went exactly as they said it would, on time and as we had envisioned it. A power outage didn't even stop them; the contractors just plowed through with generators. The multiple planning meetings that ASRD schedules were helpful both in refining the design and in virtually eliminating change orders/delays, because the considerable time invested in the design meetings makes sure that everyone involved in the project is on the same page. The positioning of our basement staircase presented some challenges, which the team at ASRD not only addressed, but turned into an eye-catching design feature. During construction, we had family staying with us on more than one occasion and everyone commented on how courteous and professional all the contractors were that they came into contact with. Our basement has turned into a fun gathering space and a mini-getaway for the kids that we look forward to enjoying for many years.

Anthony Slabaugh Remodeling is a great company to work with. They are top notch on every aspect of remodeling. They make it fun, not stressful one bit. Ryan does a plan with you right at the beginning that you get to chose if you want a product that is good, better or best. He helps you to decide where you may want the best product or where it will be ok to use a good product. He is so thorough at going over how much things cost and there was no surprises at the end of the project.

Nick, the designer was amazing. He pulled things together and made great suggestions on color and product. He also would listen to suggestions that my husband and I made to him! He never made us feel that our suggestions where over the top or crazy ideas.

From the day they came to our home for the first time, the contractors they used made us feel comfortable and they loved our 3 dogs which is very important to us.
