Anthony Vince Nail Spa reviews
26 I went here for a shellac manicure and pedicure.
The nail tech who served me provided terrible service! I did not get her name but she wore her hair in pigtails with yellow daisies. She also wears a large green peridot ring on her left hand. She kept telling me about it and how much it cost.
Throughout my rushed time there, this nail tech cut my shin with her own nail, making it bleed and hurt the entire pedicure.
She recommended an up-sell into a more expensive pedicure package. And after explaining to her that I couldn't do it because I am too ticklish and would not be able to enjoy it, she proceeded to argue with me about my choice in service.
She complained to me about my dry skin. I have a chronic skin condition called eczema which is just a fancy way of saying, I have dry skin. But I regularly moisturize and pumice my feet so they are not hard or calloused but still, she insisted and argued that I upgrade my service despite my not wanting to.
As a result, she hurried through my pedicure. She cut my toenails unevenly and did not push my cuticles back. The entire time, she was talking about me to her neighbor. I could tell by her demeanor and body language.
Then the manicure was the ABSOLUTE WORST manicure I've ever received. She cut me again but this time with the clippers. I have a chunk of skin missing from my pinky finger.
She hurried through the manicure even more than the pedicure so after, it looked like a 5 year old had done it. I seriously could have done a better job with my non-dominant hand! There was polish all over my skin and cuticle but then, on 3 of my nails, she did not even extend the polish out to the tip. And there are gaps in the bed and sides of my nails all over! She did not even file or shape my nails. And she never wrapped the tip so just 2 days later, my mani is already chipping.
I went here because it came highly recommended and I've been once before and had a splendid experience. I think I just got a horrible nail tech this time. But all it took was this one terrible experience for me to never want to come back again!
My nail technician was nice enough and he did a decent job on my pedicure but that's where the good ended. To start, he really pushed me into getting the dip powder when I just wanted regular acrylics and I'm not impressed at all. He never trimmed my cuticles and they are awful so I don't know why he didn't; my nails are poorly shaped, too long and on a couple of them the top coat is messed up. I did try communicating with the tech but when I asked him to reshape them he seemed so annoyed so I just gave up after that. I'm not normally one to review but this cost quite a bit of money for me ($87 total for service and a $15 tip). I'm just really upset at the lack of attention to detail and concern for what I wanted and also the extremely blatant sales push that made me uncomfortable with saying no to the dip (and therefore I said yes).
I’ve given this place so many chances and today was the last straw. This is how I have left the salon after paying almost $50 for a job I could do better myself. Still lots of hard skin, badly painted over my cuticles and just overall terrible. Some of the staff are absolutely great, and I’ve had great experiences with manicures, just absolutely terrible pedicures.
I’ve had an excellent experience both times I’ve come here. I don’t live in Ohio so this is my go to when I’m in town. I have gotten amazing service during my visits. But the best part for me is the friendly staff. Ask for Bobby, he’s great!
Anthony Vince Salon is too notch in the Dayton area. None of the technicians rush the service and Song and Anna are 10/10. I would recommend everyone to get their mani and pedi'a from here!
Here I sit, beyond frustrated fixing my nails. Not only did Jenny do a terrible job on my nails but I was charged the full set price of $42 for a fill in. Unprofessional and their only concern is up selling. I will do my nails myself before I ever step foot in this establishment again.
