Gym Anytime Fitness reviews
13Cancelled a membership three weeks ago and was lied to when they said I would get a refund and after calling three or four times still received nothing and just today I was charged for a second payment when I'm not longer a member there and have been waiting weeks for a refund.
I found this anytime fitness location to be very good!
The size is pretty reasonable, a tonne of equipment: cardio, weights machines and free weights/ strength gear. 3 bathrooms, 2 showers, work outs ideas on a bunch of boards across the gym. Good amount of cleaning products available, if you need these, water fountains, cubby holes for storing your things, easy access and very visible first aid.
I travel all for work, and feel very excited to have found this location as a new brunch to go to.
Many thanks:)
Love working out here. Most of the time you have the place to yourself. Unlike planet fitness where everything school kid is sitting on the equipment trying to get the perfect selfie
Any Anytime fitness is a great gym. So far, all have been open 24/7. So it makes it easy to make to the gym because ts open all the time. With life and and bisy schedules, other gyms close early and it makes it a real pain to make it there on time to get my work out in before they close so to me anytime is the way to go!
Small, yet big enough for the amount of members there at any given time. There seems to be a trainer always available and everyone is generally pretty chill.
Only gym I have ever been to where the thermostat is set to 68 and the fans are going. Gave me a super bad headache still feeling it. (Young person). Not much equipment no vending machines.
I have tried contacting this gym multiple times about cancelling my re-occurring membership, that was cancelled back in OCTOBER. I have made numerous attempts to contact whomever is in charge of memberships and I keep getting told I have to wait for the “higher management” to fix my issues. Well “higher management” hasn’t answered my multiple emails that I have sent her regarding my membership that I CANT use. I have been trying to get this fixed for awhile, as it’s been 5 months that I’ve been charged for and I’ve moved over 200 miles away from this facility. Old management would have never let this continue and honestly it’s disheartening when this used to be a gym us members enjoyed going to. I’m sure that people who go here may actually enjoy the trainers and the classes, but good luck with any management other than those in store because I’ve only had two people get back to me and neither of them can help my issue. Please save yourself the trouble and take your time and money elsewhere!
Terrible gym with new ownership! I canceled my membership was told January 13th would be my last payment. I have been charged twice since! I have called and emailed the canfield location multiple times about this NO RESPONSE! I even called the corporate number, they said it has to go through my gym.
The new ownership has ruined this gym. I wouldn’t advise anyone looking to workout go here, they only care about $$.
Been a member since they opened up. New owners took over about 4 months ago. The gym is a complete wreck right now. Would not advise anyone to join. Never any cleaning supplies, gym smells constantly, bathrooms & equipment have been broken for over 5 weeks. New managers won’t do anything to clean or fix the place. Trainers have been quitting every month, shows ownership/ management has problems.
Since new ownership/management has taken over there are MANY reasons why I would say do not join this gym. Most importantly that it has been made quite apparent that they do not personally care about their members or anything that may be happening in their lives that would cause someone to have to cancel a membership. It is all about money. Extremely disappointed and definitely won't be coming back to this gym once my contract expires.
Edited after response by AF. Just to be clear I DID sit down with the training manager and had multiple emails back and forth who did not help at all and she suggested I sit down with the general manager to tell me the same thing. I am not going to waste my time and explain to a 21 year old male my health reasons for needing to cancel a membership when I get pregnant again (nor should I have to explain to anyone what I've been through in the last year to cancel a GYM membership). And yes I am still active with the gym because I am not spending $500 to cancel a membership (which, mind you, barely even provides training classes that are accessible to someone who works a regular M-F work week anymore and classes being cancelled constantly and trainers leaving after 2 months)
Thanks.
I would not recommend anyone looking for small group training to join this gym under the current ownership. People pay a lot of money for the gym to hold up their end of the contract yet they cancel classes without warning due to lack of staffing, they do not respond to emails, and are rarely present. They will also not let any members out of their contracts without massive penalties or fees.
Many of the trainers have left because they are no longer compensated fairly under the new management.
This business is no longer about the community, it is now all about how much money they can make.
It’s been almost over a month since they changed owners and they still have restocked there shelves.
