Applebee's Grill + Bar, Akron OH

Service was good; food was good. May not have really been restaurant's fault, but only two servers were there for whole restaurant

Very short staffed. Manager was cleaning tables instead of greeting and seating customers. Waitress was wonderful.

Great food. Waited at least 15 minutes to be seated, due to limited staff. I understand that's the way things are right now. But I'd definitely go back! It's one of my favorite places to eat.

The salad and mashed potatoes were good. Serloin steak nothing but grizzle - steak knife could not cut. Cole slaw so sickening sweet, i left it. Nothing was said about the shrimp promo. Waitress did not retun to see how our meal was. Did not give me my senior discount- NEVER AGAIN!

Well I wait 20 minutes for a table but the waiter he was so nice and gentle he was awesome he knows how to served people i forgot his name, he is skinny, long hair i hope they found more people like him

We had a great lunch and I tried to pay at the table using the iPad, I included the 15% tip, but was given a bill requesting a second tip.

Hard working staff. Clean, friendly, and efficient with reduced staff. Food was hot & great

Ordered togo, 1 was just a burger and fries and 1 was a chicken sandwich and fries. Nothing too complicated or crazy, just 2 orders. Took over an hour to get it, I get what's going on but they seemed fairly staffed compared to most places having 6 employees for FOH.
Once we got it, fries were cold, partner asked for extra pickles on my chicken sandwich no onion, lettuce or tomato, had 3 tiny pickles and everything else which I really didnt care too much just took it off, just preferred it without.
My partners fries were cold too, his burger was okay just disappointed because it looked very flat and it was pretty dry.
My first time ordering from apple bees overall, pretty disappointed if I gotta say.
Highly doubt I'll give it another shot. (also if someone does see this, I live just around the corner so it's kinda impossible for the fries to get cold that fast)

In Akron, Ohio for the weekend. Stop in for a quick meal. It was about 15 minutes be closing. The hostess asked for the managers approval. He gave my family the rudest attitude, spoke to us in nasty tone. He told us the kitchen's preparing for closing. Whatever you order needs to be quick, and walked away. A nice bartender seated us, took our drink and food order. We ordered cheese sticks, boneless chicken wings and giblets. Meanwhile, the rudest manager we've ever experienced at a Applebee's began turning off TV's, overhead music. I even believed he pushed the other waitresses to push their customers out the door. I regret I did not get his name. This occurred on Friday, September 10th, around 11: 45pm, Applebee's in Fairlawn, Ohio. He's a white Male, salt and pepper facial hair and wears glasses. If there had been any where else open we would have walked out and spent our money else where. My children were hungry and sleepy is the only reason my husband and I put up with his rudest. Our daughter is a nursing student at University of Akron. We enjoy visiting Fairlawn. But, we will never ever patronize this Applebee's again. I highly suggest Applebee's train the guy on customer service, how to treat his employees. His customer service rating is 0.

Soooooo they don’t give celery anymore when you order wings? That would have been nice to know when I ordered my food. Fix the picture on your menu.

Got a grilled chicken salad an they were out of Ranch. And I wasn't told until I had already ordered. Waitress didn't seem friendly at all.

Waited 20 minutes for a table. Then, waited another 40 minutes and not even receive a glass of water. But the table of 6 were promptly served with water and their drinks.

I was outside the restaurant trying to order on line & the waitress came out to help me. Great experience. Will order again.
