Applebee's Grill + Bar, Fremont OH

8 of us were disrespected and had our time wasted, including the two people who came in behind us. We were all 10 made to wait at the door for 15 minutes while workers walked passed, look directly at us multiple times, laughed amongst each other, talked while playing around and ignored us completely. There were only 3 other tables in the entire restaurant with people sitting at them and a few people at the bar which got more attention than we ever did. We would’ve went to eat across the street but we wanted to give the staff the benefit of the doubt, which was a complete mistake. The Taco Bell/ Pizza Hut would’ve given us better service hands down. Being from Toledo, we expect bad service and rude workers when we’re home but compared to Fremont, that’s supposed to be so much better than where we’re from, the Toledoans blew them out of the water. We shouldn’t even have had to pay for the food after the horrible experience we had, which based on other reviews, is a mutual feeling. We got our own menus to look at food while we waited to be seated because we were starving and wanted to make it as easy as possible for the incompetent staff to take our orders, which they still weren’t able to do. We asked to be seated at the large c shaped table, the girl went back to the kitchen for 3 minutes to “ask someone else if that was okay” and it ended up being HER section. She expressed to us that she was scared to take our order because of how large our table was so she was probably trying to push us off on someone else. We ordered 3 Classic Combo Appetizers and 1 order of the boneless wings appetizer- for 8 people, that’s it. We asked for lemons when we got our water which we got after we all finished our waters. We requested a pitcher of water so she didn’t have to refill a single cup and didn’t even refill our pitcher of water once for the 8 of us to all have enough water to wash the food we ordered down. We asked for one cup of blue cheese dressing, multiple times, that was brought 20 minutes after the chicken was already eaten and we weren’t told that dressings were $. 50 extra- probably the waitress’ attempt to get a bit of a bigger tip. The chicken was full of tendons, it was dry and the tortilla chips were dug from the bottom of the barrel. We got there at 9: 06 and didn’t get our bill and pay until after 10: 40 which is totally absurd considering all the time had nothing to do with the amount of us there was to serve considering the small amount of work she had to do for us. The waitress moved slower and slower as the time went on, clearly trying to make her shift go by faster, leaving us at the end of our meal for at least 25 minutes or more without coming to the table once. We had to ask for our bill and when we left it on the table, she ran for the first time all night because she knew how awful the entire experience was for us all and she was scared we weren’t going to pay. Hopefully the staff is talked to about all the bad reviews, the horrible service they’re being paid to give and their attentiveness to customers and whatever else needs to be said or done to get them to do their job and not be lazy, rude and forgetful. Get it together Applebees!

Would not even give this a 1 star! It was absolutely disgusting! The tables were so dirty and they were cleaning them with paper towels! The bathrooms smelled like sewer! We didn't even finish our food!

You know I must say there were a lot of questions going into this Applebees trip. “How will the service be” “Hopefully the food will be good” well I must say I am impressed and I believe it all started with cook Jadrian Brown at the helm of the cooking position I mean this kid was doing his darn job when it came down to it and we needed that as a hungry group tonight enjoying those 12.99 boneless wings. To conclude this review you guys have a real dream team back there and it all starts with your Michael Jordan, Jadrian M. A. Brown.

Went for Endless Boneless Wings and Fries, there is nothing in the restaurant that even mentions it. Fries only come with the initial order and not refills. Garlic Parmesan sauce is mostly butter and off-putting. One in my party refused them after a single bite. Another was going to order that sauce but after seeing the liquid butter they didn't. The cole slaw tasted like it didn't have any dressing on it.
It was cold in the restaurant. I said something about it to the server and they said that they hear the same complaints about it every day. There is an HVAC vent over every table.
The server we had seemed like she was new to the business. Didn't write down drink orders and had to come ask again what they were. Absent-minded and distracted describes them well.

Service was outstanding, our server jenni who come to find out was training was amazing so personable and never had to ask for a refill. Definitely didn’t seem like her first day. Her trainer Christiania (sorry if spelled wrong) was very friendly too. Food was hot and so good nice portions! We will be back! Thank you

My husband loves eating the appetizer sampler platter for his meal. It comes with your choice of boneless wings. He ate the honey pepper today, quesadillas, spinach and artichoke dip, and mozzarella cheese sticks. I got the fiesta lime chicken with rice. It was all delicious.

Running families right out of the restaurant with the cold air. Literally shiver on a 90° day in a T-shirt! Ridiculous! No silverware or napkins until after our dinner was served. Aren't you supposed to have silverware and napkins during appetizers also?
When I complained it was so frigid cold I was told I was okay. No, really, we won't be back.

My mom took my sister in law, my aunt, and I out to eat for my birthday yesterday 7/13/2023. The blonde waitress we had was super rude. Not only to us but to her coworkers as well. We didn’t want to order drinks or appetizers until my aunt arrived as she drove separately from us and that seemed to be a big inconvenience to the waitress… as she rolled her eyes and walked away when we said we weren’t ready yet. When we went to order food another server brought us appetizers and our waitress got upset and literally said “I was waiting to bring that out! ” You can imagine all of us were confused as to why? … we did get food rather quickly… food was great per usual and she did check on us once. Just wasn’t a good experience as I was looking forward to lunch with family on my birthday. Because of this… we probably won’t return. If we do it won’t be for a while.

Loved Applebee's I got a shrimp salad and my boyfriend got a chicken with a fully loaded mashed potatoes and cooked broccoli. It was great he also had a beach Bum mix drink it was nice but next time he would like to try the blue one.

Only got salads for lunch. They were not very busy at the time we were there. All in all pretty good.

I popped in with a party of 8. The staff quickly moved some tables and had us seated. Food was good all in all. Worth it

The food was good, I love the French onion soup and the bourbon street chicken and shrimp. There are better places to get a steak but none as convenient and affordable in Fremont, so mom and I can both find something to enjoy here.

Food was good, server was not the greatest. Dropped food off, didn't bring refills, didn't check if everything was OK, waited over 20 minutes for boxes, and Bill.

My wife and I stopped by for a quick meal, and we were not disappointed. The food and service were great.

Jill did an amazing job! She made wonderful drinks (actually the best we have had) we come in often and this is my first review she did an amazing job at multitasking with all the customers! We will definitely be back! She made our experience wonderful!

Had to wait to be seated, reason I say that, stood at podium and seen 4 employees look at me and my friend and they just walked away, one of them that looked at us that walked away came back and said how are you, a bit unprofessional I think. The music was a little loud, but other than that, was a good experience. My steak was done to perfection.
