Arashi Japan Sushi & Steakhouse reviews
18I think that the food quality has gone down hill here, I love the service and I love the atmosphere but the teriyaki noodles taste off, I wish I could say that they tasted better because it's such a shame to give such a nice place a bad food review, however on a good selling point the sake choices are top notch and taste amazing, I would come here again just on that note alone and the steak is also very tasty.
We had Hibachi! It was excellent! I love the sauces they use to prepare the food! My Husband had chicken terriaki appetizer and vegetable hibachi. I had the shrimp hibachi & I recommend it highly!
By far my absolute favorite place in the area for sushi and hibachi. The manhattan roll, special crazy girl roll, and gyoza are always fresh and tasty. Perfect place for big parties and birthday celebrations. Friendly and well mannered staff members that treat you like family. I promise you won’t be disappointed.
Good sushi and convenient location. You won't have to deal with Crocker Park traffic.
This is the worst Japanese restaurant we'v been to. The water tastes plastic and poison. We were too afraid to drink it. The ramen were just like instant noodles, the beef were too chewy, too over priced for the quality. The Sushi is OK, but not better than the packaged grocery store sushi.
The only good thing is the server is nice. But the chefs they hired are not Japanese, definitely they were speaking Chinese. Not recommend to go to this place at all.
The food is very tasty. Our server is very nice and patient. We didn’t wait too long for our food. The service is good and efficient. We like this place and we recommend their sushi and hibachi as well.
We tried only sushi and grilled mussels. Naruto roll was the best from the dishes we tried. Fish and scallops are very fresh
Excellent service and quality of fish. The Tako Sunomono was delicious, and uncommon dish in the US. The music was light, and they have seats for young kids.
I was craving sushi and saw this place and thought I’d give it a try. Boy I wish I didn’t. The booth’s seats were cracked and dried up. My menu had a long strand of hair stuck to it. My glass of soda had food stuck to it. My server was subpar. He ordered me the wrong sushi rolls. Or some of the fish/toppings were missing. He never came to check on me and left me with no refill. It was a hot day and I was extremely thirsty. I was the only one on the sushi side, yet my sushi took 20 minutes. They were all standing around laughing and talking. The sushi at Giant Eagle is better than this and it’s got a shelf life of 3 days. Never again. This place was awful. $35 down the tubes. Go elsewhere! Very disappointing!
Delicious sushi appetizers and hibachi entrees. The staff is very friendly and attentive. I only wish the open dining area had better air conditioning to counteract all the heat from the hibachi grills.
I got the Shumai and the Shrimp Tempura roll. Overall, it was okay. Not the worst sushi I’ve ever had but, also not my favorite.
We went here for my birthday this evening. Our hibachi food was good, but not great. One person in our party ordered the Pad Thai and it was pretty disappointing.
On the positive side, our server was pleasant and attentive. She was helpful, even when we had special requests.
The biggest disappointment by far was the limited interaction with the chef. Part of going here is supposed to be the entertainment experience. They completed dropped the ball on that part! Our chef barely said anything. He did a few of the standard things you expect, but even those were done like he was just mailing it in. I was incredibly disappointed. Two of the people in our party had never been to a hibachi style restaurant before and I was embarrassed by how far below expectations this was. I had hyped it up and they were wondering what I was so excited about.
I’ve had good experiences here before, but for as much as I paid for this dinner, I don’t plan to go here again if this is the quality of experience I will receive. I need to find a different, better Japanese steakhouse on the west side of Cleveland.
Music was way to loud and the chicken was way over done. The chicken was crunchy and it shouldn't be. My brother in-law steak had bones in it. This was a bad experience for us. I had better at the mall. I won't ever go back!
The food is absolutely delicious and plentiful. It's almost a sure bet that you'll have a doggy bag to take with you and will be able to enjoy it all over again. The prep is hibachi style with a chef who is a true showman but in reality the food is the real star!
Reservations were at 6, not seated until 6: 30, no food served until 7: 45. Waiter was terrible, served entrees before appetizers! And food was cold. Missing items and when reminded still never brought. If I could give this place 0 I would. Do NOT come here rude and unprofessional. Waited for check for over 20 minutes.
Really just underwhelming and the sushi that had tempura was served stone cold and half frozen. It was really off putting. My husband got sick from his roll with crab. The dishes from the restaurant side were questionable and I didn't let my son eat the chicken as it looked wrong textural wise. Just a shame and waste of money. I could have made better Japanese American food.
A shadow of its former self.
My family goes to this establishment once a year for a birthday, and every year the quality gets worse and worse.
The servers are not very attentive, so if you need another drink, or even a refill on your water, expect to wait 10 minutes between sightings. The folks behind the bar are great and very welcoming. The "chefs", however, are easily the worst part of the experience.
Each year it seems the chefs do less and less tricks and engage the group less and less. We used to get all sorts of jokes and knife spinning tricks. They would spin the egg and create the classic volcano with the onion - you know the one.
Nowadays if you're lucky you get the volcano and shrimp toss and that's it! It's sad to see a great establishment decline on quality.
I had to give one star because the food was terrible. Everything was overcooked (burt) presentation was very much either very small portions as well. The service was fine, my server and anyone else I incountered within my visit was nice I definitely will not be back or telling a friend.
