Got seated pretty fast. The staff was nice and it was pretty clean. Although the food lacked some flavor but overall was not bad.

Sat for 10 minutes at our table; no waiter approached us, no drink orders taken. Wait staff stood around chatting. Lol We got up and left. No one noticed. Guy at the door muttered “Have a good day, ” from over the top of his cell phone as we walked out. Lol I laughed out loud.

Shocked! Had a birthday celebration there. I love sushi and prefer Ichiban in Hyde Park, but, made arrangements to meet at this, Aroma place.

The food and general service was upright.
I later realized that the manager had to fill in as a server, which i sympathize under these conditions. After dinner I requested the bill, we paid and began talking debating whether or not we should get a few drinks at the bar.

Our server came to us and began talking to us about having an hour wait and he was putting us in "mind" of how much time we spent there. In a matter of words we were being asked to leave.

I don't like writing reviews, but, this was outstanding. As we were leaving there was no one in line and our table hadn't been bussed. I shrugged, but, it still stuck with me.

I won't ever go back to Aroma. 2 Stars instead of 1 because I admire the manager picking up server duties. I just wish we hadn't been asked to leave.

Service was great especially for being under staffed. The sushi was bland and falling apart, as well as poorly cut.

The restaurant was super busy, but the staff was great! We ordered take out and the hostess was super attentive! Very accommodating and our order was perfect and timely as always!

Just left with absolutely no service. Got sat down and that the last we spoke to a server for half and hour. Got up to talk to the hostess and waited another 5 mins. Left when the table next to use had people pay, table buses, and new customers were sat and had their order taken. Another table was sat at the same time, had their order taken, food delivered, and bill.

Should have talked to the manager, but at that time I was to angry.

Loved this place and ate there all the time. Not coming back.

Prices here are unbeatable and the sushi is fresh and delicious. Plenty of menu items to satisfy every client. Overall, a highly recommendable place to stop when in the Kenwood Towne Center area.

You know what I'm going to say, this place is my one and only sushi joint in all of Cincinnati. I don't go anywhere else, I always take friends, and we always eat way too much sushi for our own good.

Aroma has some of the best fried calamari with thousand Island dressing I have had in a long time. There's sushi also very good and it's very well made.

I would recommend this place for anybody that really enjoys seafood or enjoys sushi and is not a texture picky person. The thing is I've been eating sushi for years and I never look at their formal menu but as soon as she joins Cincinnati that offers half off for eating in store every day of the week is killer and is quite honestly a regular thing in the Midwest.

One other thing, I have experience quite a few amazing waiters and waitresses at this restaurant, but thus far the best one is Madeline, she's funny she's great to chat with, and often I feel like anytime she comes to my table, she just comes to chat because she needs like a 30-second break and I am all for it. If Madeline is reading this right now, I hope you never leave that restaurant.

Wonderful dining experience. Even though they were short staffed, everything was great. Super attentive and helpful server, able to accommodate a shellfish allergy, and really amazing sushi. Will absolutely be returning many times!

Our server deserves 5 stars, the sushi deserves 3 stars, and the gentleman in the apron who pretended to "see who was still in the restaurant" only to double back and say they were leaving soon so we needed to 'wrap it up' deserves to be fired. They closed at 9. We arrived at 8: 20. My gf and I both have worked in the industry and had our app and drink order ready before greeted, and our final order ready when they came back with drinks (I would have had my entire order ready at greeting but it was my first time there, and not all sushi is the same). We also paid as soon as the check was presented to allow the server to close out. We exercised proper late dining etiquette but were still treated with disrespect, and as an employee if you wish to be able to leave right at closing do not work in the restaurant industry.

I go to Aroma regularly but yesterday the service was horrible. I opened my napkin and it had mold on it which says to me they recycle the napkins. I will never go back.

Suchi taste average. Place nice to seat. Just you need to make sure that all what you ordered have been brought to your table especially for sushi and rolls as they forgot to bribg a part of the order and you will find it in your check, Be aware of that.

I was very disappointed that the staff nor Manager had on a mask. I was told they didn't require it and its their choice.

Its a nice place my first time there the sushi's that I order ware good and a great tasty salad so I will go back next time the prices ware reasonable try it if you like sushi's

I was told my order would be ready in 20 minutes it was 40. I then over heard the hosts say “he forgot her order because he just got stoned in the kitchen…. ”

Dear Aroma - do something about your sushi! You lost a customer today. We have been ordering from Aroma for a couple of years. And the experience is getting worse every time. Overcooked rice, basically no fish in fish sushi, not very appealing look. Very disappointing. I lost my appetite.

My first time at Aroma I had 1 Dragon and 2 Downtown with shrimp and oh my God it was amazing I can't stop thinking about Aroma I want more of their sushi

The food was good. Our server was great. Everything was pretty solid up until the end. We’d finished our food, etc.and were just chatting. After about 15 minutes post-dinner, someone from the restaurant came over and asked if we’d leave our table as…”they had a line”.

I’ve been dining out at various caliber establishments for 2 decades. I’ve gone to hundreds of restaurants (nothing exceptional here just standing a benchmark to show Ive experienced enough dining etiquette to understand what’s generally appropriate). NEVER have I EVER been asked to leave a table. It was a little shocking.

Aroma, this isn’t acceptable and I hope it’s not your standard practice. Very disappointing.

*As a side note, normally, if staying at a restaurant after meal completion I’d order drinks (out of respect for the establishment) but this simply wasn’t an option as I’m currently expecting.

I’d just ask that Aroma consider a politer option to hurry guests along in the future.

7.14.21 (Wed / 7 p.m.) - Aroma / Kenwood is by far 1 of my *favorite* places to order take-out! The food is consistently well-prepared (tastes amazing/borderline hot when I get it) and packaged well. Sometimes I ask for small changes or additions and they're always willing to accommodate me. I've ordered a variety of items from this restaurant over the years, however, a few of my favorites are shown below (w/ 1 missing - their Bearcat roll - because I was starving when I received my order and practically inhaled it as soon as I got it inside).:)

Items pictured (from LT to RT) : Korean Sweet & Spicy Chicken, Goat Cheese Salad & Jab Chae Beef

My absolute #1 favorite dish right now is the Jab Chae Beef - and it's affordable! ️ FYI: This dish does have a very uniquely distinct flavor profile; but if you're also a beef lover, after just a few bites - you'll get hooked too, I promise!

P. S. Not sure about other comments below (regarding ppl having problems with their sushi) but I have yet to encounter those same issues, personally. ‍️
