Arrowhead Behavioral Health reviews
15 I went through php and was half way through IOP when I missed what was originally an "optional/voluntary class". This was a 3rd absence and they only allow 2 but I have seen them allow another person in the class take a 3rd absence to work overtime at their job. I was home with my daughter who had just had a surgery on the 21st and fell asleep after a miserable Christmas of her being up and crying and in pain and missed the class. Tried calling as soon as I woke up and even tried to come to the building but noone would even speak to me. Calling the next day i left voicemails on multiple peoples machines again and did not recieve a call back until 5pm. 7 hours into calling that day and 22 hours after the first voicemails left. They see me come in every day exhausted with bags under my eyes and baby puke in my hair because i sacrifice all my "me time" to attend this class. They know my daughter has a health condition that makes it so I have daily appointments for her. I started php 2 weeks after my c section. Its very clear that i wanted to be there and that i was trying. I was always happy to be there and happy to share. I was trying so hard.
I had been put on a behavioral contract during PHP and that was their reasoning for not working with me as they had others. I had graduated PHP and it was unfair to have it counted against me. It was unfair to count a voluntary class against anyone. And it was unfair that I have seen them willing to work with others who clearly didn't want to be there but wouldn't work with me when I needed this class now more than ever before.
I asked if I could restart the program, asked if I could even start at PHP again or even a higher level of care and was told "clearly this isn't the program for you". Clearly they aren't there to help people if they can't show some basic human compassion to a new mother who clearly needed help.
One of the worst experiences of my life I would have been better off detoxing at home or another facility I only stayed for 2days … One of the patients overheard one of the nurses talking really badly about me about my weight and how skinny I was I was suffering from a substance-abuse issue and the food was absolutely terrible I think for lunch one day it was pulled pork nachos cereal for breakfast I had such bad nausea when really all I wanted was plain bland food like applesauce mashed potatoes bread soup I had packed a small bag with some personal items in it not once did they offered to even give me my toothbrush or anything I eventually asked and they seemed annoyed The doctor seemed like he had no compassion for patients it was like he did not care at all At one point my last day there he said what medication would you like me to prescribe I was half out of my mind and suffering they acted like they could care less I think I was just a source of income to them with choose a different facility if you were thinking about this one
Very clean and professionally adequate for what my needs where. Most of the staff were very polite and helpful and treated me kindly and when I needed help they work to come up with a solution for my problem other places might be more loose with the rules but with that comes the being treated less than and not getting your needs met. This place You can tell they wanna make a difference and actually care
I have a family member in Arrowhead's day program. It is wonderful! He has hope and a treatment plan! I am beyond grateful!
Instutionalized beyond any hospital I've encountered. Dirty. No security. 1 TV for 24 patients. The psychiatrist I had wasn't even on site and I met him 1x in my 7 day stay. Outdated facility that was more like a jail than any hospital I've been too. Would never recommend anyone
There is no doctor on staff. And the doctor that stops by for an hour a day isn't very good. Also the place is filthy.there was not a cleaning crew there for an entire week. There were no mask requirements nobody asked if I was vaccinated. There were hairs and boogers on the walls. No soap in the bathroom. There were signs to sanitize the public phone after every call and nobody did that after I asked, even.
Basically, I felt like this place was Junior Jail. Not as bad as jail, but a good prerequisite if you will be going to Stryker. They force withdrawal symptoms, by undoing everything your regular doctors have done. They think they know better than the team of real medical professionals that take care of me. IT WAS THE FIRST RING OF HELL. THE INTAKE DEPARTMENT LIES. I paid them for this hell. Enough to buy a new car. It was totally worthless and didn't count for anything with the courts. Then, 10 days in Stryker. Where they treat you is an even lower form of scum. After the seventh day there I went through a seizure because they would not medically evaluate me properly. I can't emphasize enough how worthless this place is.
Robin is the absolute worst person to deal with.she started to put me down for the reason you go to places like this.
I was inpatient for 8 days & honestly enjoyed it. The staff is awesome and the food is pretty good too. I'm sure if I were forced to go I wouldn't have the same rating but from someone who checked in on my own I was very pleased with the care I received. Thanks to the staff for being there for me!
Got chewed out over the phone for “not speaking calmly” when I was having a breakdown and seeking help. Do not go here, you will be treated horribly
Learn how to treat addiction or just throw in the towel. Stick to being a run down psych ward. I relapsed because of this place. Go to Stella Maris in Cleveland if you want treatment that works. Been clean over a year thanks to them.
Nurses are very rude and won't even let you know you've been transferred to someone else so you have to explain your situation all over again.
Gross! Find somewhere else to go. No tobacco at all. The staff is oblivious, the schedule is always wrong and the facility is nasty. You're better off sleeping behind a bush somewhere.
Fantastic detoxification and psychiatric hospital, outstanding partial hospitalization program, and elegant intensive out patient. Subs and Vivitrol (in detox) offered here. Linkage to sober living/residential treatment if entering detox. Linkage to other community resources too.
They keep you hostage to get insurance payments. When u want to leave u are held against your will. Husband signed himself in willingly and was refused the ability to leave.
I was placed in the care of arrowhead about a year ago. This place is not very helpful to say the least. I was sent to arrowhead for mental health issues. When I got there it became very clear to me that they were not focused on mental health just addiction. Which is fine if that’s the help you need but that is not why I was sent. The nurses were not helpful at all. They were there to collect a check and do nothing else. The psychiatrist I had was very knowledgeable about medication but did not want to hear any of my symptoms. I expected to get therapy and actually be helped with my conditions instead I met with a psychiatrist two times a week for 10mins. The group sessions were not helpful for me. They were completely centered around drug addiction and what not to do. The only help I got was referrals to other facilities from patients who had been other places. I would never send someone here for mental health help because they just do not pay attention or care.
