Associates In Women's Health of the Mahoning Valley, Inc. Dr. Rodney Hill, Youngstown OH

I was going to this doctor the beginning of 2023 and ended up having a miscarriage.the hospital called dr.hill on a sunday and he refused to come and do a d&c and told me to follow up at his office the next day.i went to the office and one of the nurses said “they were checking my baby’s heartbeat” she didn’t know i had a misscarriage apparently & i’m still being charged for a d&c the doctor refused to do.could keep going on.but here’s just a part of my experience.

If I could give 0 stars I would. Please do yourself a favor and find a different/better OB. I tried to follow the idea that some people wrote reviews out of anger and leave out some truth, however I realized that isn't the case at all with Dr Hill and this office.
First they never did the prenatal screening on me, to figure out my blood type, any deficiencies I may have etc that would/could affect my unborn baby. Fast forward they were so late to scheduling my 20 week anatomy ultrasound that it wouldn't have happened til I was already 27wks (ended up happening earlier after I was hospitalized for 5 days). I ended up hospitalized at roughly 25wks pregnant) after severe issues that could have killed me and/or my baby. It took days and a nurse calling to get Dr Hill to put orders through to check on my baby. Dr Hill was at the hospital on different occasions while I was there and didn't come to "check" (we will use that term lightly) on me until day 4 of being hospitalized. This check up took him maybe 5 mins and he showed little to no concern for me/my baby, and it was also my first time meeting him, even though I have been a patient of his since I was 6 wks (25wks when I finally had enough) pregnant. Now, everything is a mess, I am high risk and seeing specialists, but thankfully in much better care.

This is long, but woman need to protect and advocate for themselves. Take care ladies

I wish I didn't have to put a star to write a review BUT this office is rude & extremely unprofessional! The staff had conversations in front of me, about how & why their about to quit while doing my ultrasound! I always left annoyed by the lack of care for their patients. I never met the Dr only his staff, every time there was a reason for a no show! I had a miscarriage & even the hospital couldn't get in touch with him. They did what they could then sent me home! I'll never go back & I tell everyone don't ever go there!

I was a patient of this facility at around 16 weeks heavy bleeding started. I called the after hours line and was told that the dr would call me back. He told me that I had just peed myself and didn't know the difference and don't worry about it. I went into the ER and found out that it was a subchorionic hemorrhage that was around the baby. Definitely would not recommend.

Actually didn't really get much experience with Dr.hill as my ob doctor. He was an alternative Dr.when Canby was on vacation. (Almost 5 years ago) He was very caring. Now fast forward to present I am a current client here. I called office for over 1 week plus just to see if I needed to make an apt to get Birth Control prescription or if they can call a script in because I normally would get birth control ship from an online prescriber. I understand he is busy or what not but to tell me multiple times when I call they would call me back and let me know. Still waiting.looking for a new place could have just said hey make an apt and come in instead of making think I would get an actual call back.

Just wasn’t a experience I would want to do again. The equipment is old and doesn’t work. And the Dr came in the room with a dirty lap coat on.

Everybody was very friendly.
Dr hill made me feel comfortable and safe. Bathrooms are also stocked with feminine needs, so convenient! And I was a new patient but there wasn't a long wait. I got seen very quickly. Going to màke this office my permanent gyno.

Nope, No, and Nah! Walked in, and the pregnant receptionist has no customer service. Then, she proceeded to advise her peer that she wasn't in the mood to work! Stop putting people up front who have no customer service. My appointment was scheduled for 1pm. I had to wait 40 minutes. Had my co-pay refunded and left. Do better! Go somewhere else!

UPDATE 2/7/23: Despite the issues I had with the staff previously, Dr. Hill is the OBGYN that every woman dreams of to make her pregnancy a great experience. He has always been wonderful and treated me with respect and today I left feeling safe and cared for. After seeing what else is out there, I am so happy to have switched back. I didn't recognized the staff from last year when I had issues and can say it has improved 100%. Looking forward to seeing everyone there again.

Waited over an hour and a half and never saw anyone - had to completely cancel the appointment and no desire to reschedule. Apparently it was someone's 3rd day and they had no idea how to run my insurance.

During COVID, I was unable to get into my usual gynecologist for a pressing issue within a reasonable amount of time. Unfortunately, I decided to go to Dr. Hill's office because they see people on short notice and you don't have to be a patient. I had good insurance at the time and instead of charging my insurance company for the visit, they forced me to pay an unreasonable amount for the visit, when I had no copay. They said they would reimburse me after my insurance paid them. They got paid twice. My insurance company paid them, like they are supposed to and I never got my money back, even after I complained. I really should have filed a complaint with the better business bureau. THEY COMMIT INSURANCE FRAUD! BEWARE!

I love the care and attention they give to their patients. It's more than worth the 1 hour drive. Carol is beyond amazing. She made me feel so comfortable and answered all questions I had. Dr. Hill is very down to earth and easy to talk to

My very first experience there was ok. Dr Hill himself was really amazing.i had the lady at the front come in and tell me my pregnancy test was negative…. I’m 4 weeks pregnant.she almost made me cry and panic.and when dr.hill.came in 4 min later he said the test came back positive…. That’s not ok.the lady at the front desk should not be the one to tell me weather or not i’m pregnant.

Carol Holmes was more than Amazing. She is very gentle, thorough and experienced. Ladies I'm new to the town and the clinic she made me feel at ease with every process.

Very welcoming environment welcome you with open arms was seen right away very very nice people don't have no complaints
