The only good thing about this practice was doctor Avery.he retired. I was a teen mom and had seen Darlene the whole time, only to have her out of town at time of my delivery. Dr. Thress was an absolute nightmare. As a young, teenage mother, I tried to explain to him my bouts of depression and his response to me was "Its called dealing with it". I left that practice and never looked back. But I will say going out the door I voiced my opinion, and the receptionist said you're definitely not the first to say so.

I have been going to this practice for almost 3 years now. I love most of the staff and especially Jessie, the midwife. She really does care about you and your growing baby. Darlene delivered my first but unfortunately she is gone now. However, Jessie will be delivering my second and I know it will be another great experience. Only reason I gave a 4 star is because I believe the customer service reps could be trained better due to miscommunication. I've had my appointments mixed up before and it causes a headache. I would highly recommend this practice

I wouldn't give this place a single star if I could help it! The ONLY good thing about this practice is Jessie, the midwife. I also loved Darlene, who delivered my son and was wonderful but she's no longer here. Dr. Thress was MIA during the gallbladder issue I had during my first pregnancy. When the office was finally able to get him to refer me to the surgeon, I had surgery, everything went well, no thanks to him. I got back into his office and he said "Next time when I tell you, let's not wait so long, ok? " I swear I could have ripped him to pieces with my bare hands! This time, I wanted to see the midwives again but found out Darlene was gone and I couldn't see Jessie because I was carrying twins. I then met Dr. Refuss, she was very cold and acted annoyed with me, no idea why. I decided to try Dr. Johnson then, I did not want to change practices mid pregnancy. Dr. Johnson insisted I have a c-section at 36 weeks pregnant. I was only 19 weeks at the time, there was no reason for it. She said "That's how we typically do it. " When I asked why. I really wanted a natural delivery as I had one the first time. She didn't want to hear about that. She also put me on asprin for no reason and treated me like I already had pre-eclampsia just because twins put you at higher risk. I switched practices and started going to Seven Hills at 20 weeks. They have been great, none of my new Dr's.know why Dr. Johnson had the ideas she did about c-sections or pre-eclampsia. I also am set to deliver naturally. Go figure!? ! Do not use this practice, PLEASE!

Worse place ever changed. They knew i was having complications and did nothing. They did the same with someone i know a few years ago she was preclamptic and they ignored it and said it was something else till she almost had a stroke and got an emergency c-section

Been going here for almost 6 years and absolutely love it. I live almost hour and a half away now but still make the drive instead of switching Dr.

Had one of the most bizarre first prenatal appointments ever here. Never had a chance to ask questions, Dr Rehfuss seemed annoyed to be there from the second she entered the room. At over ten weeks pregnant all that was done was a urine pregnancy test. No labwork, exam or even mention of when exactly I would be able to get an ultrasound. The medical history they got from me was the briefest I've ever experienced and I know for a fact that the doctor never even looked at my information before entering the room based on the conversation I could hear going on right outside. This is not my first child and definitely was not a normal first prenatal appointment. Not to mention I was in the office for well over an hour, for this doctor to spend under 2 minutes with me. I can't imagine trusting this practice with a safe delivery of my child.

Dr. Thress "delivered" my child in December of 2013. He was paged multiple times to come to the hospital for the delivery. He finally answered the third time, and then when he entered into the room he had to ask me to stop pushing so he could put his gloves on. But I ended up with my son, so i wasn't too mad. Until I started receiving bills from my prenatal care. I have spoken with them and Anthem so many times it is ridiculous. I was told they were going to take care of the charges and write them off. And then they sold their company - so I am dealing with this again. The previous rep's word just does not matter anymore. And the fact that it is in their contract with Anthem that they cannot bill me, but are choosing to do so is despicable.

I honestly love all the people in the office, minus Dr. Thress, but I really cannot continue to see their doctors when they cannot figure out how to show up when a patient is in labor or how to bill for maternity services. It has been a nightmare. Save yourself some time and a lot of money and choose a different practice. Thanks!

This practice is so used to cookie cutter pregnancies that they dismiss everything as normal. They treated me like I was crazy for being worried about spotting after previously miscarrying and the next week I found out I miscarried again. The poor treatment was not so much from the doctor as it was a staff member named Carol. She was extremely rude and yelled at me when asked to explain hcg levels and when she called to ask me if I knew the results of the sonogram meant my baby's heart stopped she was cold and had zero empathy. No one even expressed their condolences. I am going to a specialist now at The Institute for Reproductive Health in Cincinnati and they treat me with so much respect. It is an amazing difference. Don't make the mistake of going there unless you think your pregnancy is low or no risk, otherwise you may regret it.
