Atwood Lake Park reviews
16We are in love with this place. So far we did spring and fall camping and looking forward for more camping days here at Atwood lake.
Beautiful place. I was there during the fall fest and it was great. Lots of craft vendors, food and music.
We have camped here a couple times and also visited for the Fall Festival! We love it here.
That festival really needs work: transportation to and from parking was awful; food was bad; and prices too high. Doubt we will return.

Beautiful, brand new sites. I would keep seasonal in 1,2,3,4 and let nightly people have the nicer waterfront locations.
September 2021
Update, we returned a second time. We were in C. Parked next to a nightly person with kids that cried and screamed for 6 hours straight. Dogs were off their leashes. I went to the front and asked if something could be done to stop this. The lady in the office asked my site # and said she could move me but that is all she could do. I asked about leash laws, and she just shrugged her shoulders. We were first time campers in H back in April and invited family to bring their camper up to be on an adjacent site. We will not be back.
Great little dog park but stay clear of the fire hydrant that's in the middle. Theres a huge wasp nest inside and I didn't realize until it was too late. Pretty sure they got my dog a couple times.
Had my daughters wedding ceremony and reception at the park. Very clean and well maintained. Many thanks to the staff for a great experience. Highly recommend for family get togethers
Atwood used to be great for fishing. Although I believe it’s slightly been overfished. And I think the Amish are mostly to blame. I have heard of numerous cases where they keep under length. Combine that with them taking all 10,000 of their cousins, or spouses (same thing), it tends to ruin for everyone else. I could be totally wrong - but the other day I was out there and had a pontoon full of them trolling 20ft back and forth around my boat - and it wasn’t busy at all. These guys really are bad when it comes to etiquette and what they keep.
Idk if you can request an increase in warden presence / random bag checks, but I think you’d crack down on a lot of it. And make it better for everyone else.
Beautiful campground, would definitely have gave it 5 stars but they had to close the water park down this week. This was the reason I chose this week to bring my daughter, for her last week before school starts. I definitely will come back. Very clean, staff is wonderful, Lake is gorgeous.
Okay there was about 10 of us camping for a few days in section H which I think is one of the best areas. This was my first experience there and the staff was very friendly along with Ranger Rick. We enjoyed the car show they had and I got a lot of steps in. Looking forward to my next visit.
Turning into an rv park…… concrete slabs almost no grass…. I hate how the park looks now. Not to mention 17.00 an hour to play on the thing at the beach…. I won’t be going much longer.
Attended Atwood Lake Park for the first time to attend the Alive Music Festival. I was very impressed with the cleanliness of the park and how upkept it was. There was so much room for the tons of campers and RV crowd, too! Beautiful place with a lot to offer!
Our experiences at Atwood lake have been good consistently, and there are a variety of things to do. We have attended musical festivals there, taken the kids swimming, gone camping, and enjoyed a peaceful day on the boat.
Awesome place. But the water area cost more to swim for the day then to go to an amusement park. $16 to swim for an hour, $50 for the day, and $20 for a place that's shaded! If it weren't for the price gouging on the lake inflatables we'd be thrilled.
Alive Festival 2021 just finished tonight! 4 days of Christian and Secular music, everyone welcome. All 50 states represented and at least 9 nations. But this post is about the Atwood Lake Part. It is a beautiful place set on abundant archers of woodland and fields bordering the breathtaking Atwood Lake; a large freshwater lake of 17 miles or so. Events held there, I imagine, are always worth attending if R&R is on the agenda too. I travel hundred of miles for the Alive Festival for the music and the setting. Some of the unpriceable best things in life! R
