Sushi Restaurant BambooHouse reviews
15Extremely friendly, wonderful, family owned and operated. Our favorite sushi place in Cincy.
We arrived the lady was talking loudly on her phone no sense of customer service. We heard a dog barking in the background. We were served with PAPER PLATES (someone posted a picture of normal plates six days ago so they can’t say it’s due to covid, if you’re that lazy to wash dishes then don’t have a restaurant and go into another business) and were charged for OUR WATER. THEY GAVE US WATER BOTTLES FROM KROGERS. INSANE. FOOD WAS MID AND WAY OVERPRICED. PLZ DO YOURSELF A FAVOR AND JUST GO TO ANOTHER SUSHI PLACE CAUSE THIS PLACE WILL HAVE YOU REGRETTING U EVER DECIDED TO GO THERE IN THE FIRST PLACE.
The online menu item prices are inaccurate. The
food is definitely overpriced for what it’s worth. I was also given an inaccurate quantity of items and was overcharged. I would not recommend this restaurant. Neither will I be returning, the staff was not friendly.
Honestly, my food hasn't come yet but the owner is super nice so 5 stars already Update the food is also great.
This place was very disappointing. Considering the 4 stars at this restaurant we were expecting decent food and decent service… WE DID NOT GET DECENT NOTHING. First off we got PAPER PLATES for our food. We were given kroger water bottles for our regular waters we asked for, only to be charged $1.20 for the unwanted water bottles. Our server was very dismissive. I ordered a salad and was given 90% of lettuce and 2% sauce ALSO in a PAPER BOWL. As well as there was a dog in back kitchen barking where our food was being prepared. I do not recommend this place.the sushi wasn’t even good. Like come on.
We had combination pad Thai that was soupy and undercooked, spicy shrimp sushi that came out after our entire meal even though we ordered it first. Also had wonton soup. That didn’t tast right either. Worst pad thai I have ever had. First time we’ve ever had dinner here. Can’t say we will eat here again.
The Bamboo House is a small place, but the food was actually very tasty, and you received a good portion for the cost. One thing I really like is that it stays open from lunch to dinner. Many asian restaurants in the area don't, so when I get off work in the afternoon, it's good to know I can stop and grab something on the way home. Parking can be a little difficult, but they do have a couple of spots blocked off just for their restaurant if you get there at a good time.
Shrimp fried rice was good but the sesame balls were delicious. You need to put them on the menu.
Sushi and main dish were adequate in portion and preparation. However, the price is hugely overpriced.
I went to dinner with a friend here. The sushi was delicious! I’m sure we will be back soon.
I love Bamboo House, good food, good people, and in my opinion the best fried rice in town!
Food was delicious and freshly made. The Mongolian beef was sooooo good.
Will def be back.
I come here a lot with friends. Food is hot and tasty, I love their sushi (I always get the Sakura Roll)
Dined in and the place was dirty, the decor was like a child care center, kids drawings everywhere and Christmas pillows. What the heck.
Soy sauce bottles on table were so caked up and dirty. The food was served on paper plates with plastic forks. The food was so plain and bad, noodles are seasoned with just soy sauce, sugar and garlic, was so liquidy and didn't stick to any of the food. This place doesn't know how to cook. I also found a hair in it. Veggies weren't even cooked. The cream cheese wontons weren't even mixed with any green onions or anything, just plain cream cheese. Server never even came over to ask how everything was. I wanted to leave without paying but I'm not a jerk. Would NEVER go there again.
The food was good, it wasn’t my favorite place, but decent! The part that got me to give it 3 reviews, was when we asked for “hot oil” on the side as we were leaving, we were asked, “are you sure you need it? Then regretfully handed us a small container of it” - Poor customer service.
