Bascule Bridge Grille, Ashtabula OH

A little crowded, but what else can you expect from a restaurant this incredible on a Saturday night!? ! Seriously, go eat here asap! It will blow your mind (especially if you get the scallops)!

Bascule Bridge Grille was just superb. Thank you to our wait staff Moe and Brie - Moe also attended to an international corporate group and speaks Japanese. Amazing. We thought fine dining was dead. Douglas Trattner not so!

Just a spectacular appetizer, dinner, and dessert. Very high quality, pricey but worth it. Will be back!

I love Bascule! My partner and I go often for date night and we have frequent company dinners there, too. The staff is always friendly! The drink and dinner menus are seasonal. I've never had a bad meal. It's always worth the stop.

This is another gem in Ashtabula, Ohio! The service is incredible. You will feel welcomed and truly like a guest! Even if the food had not been five star, which it was, just being there and treated so well would make this a great place to dine. It was enjoyable watching the staff welcome people. The food is worth the drive from Erie or Cleveland. There is variety, and it is cooked with skill. Literally everything we ordered was fantastic. I highly recommend giving this place a try, but arrive hungry so you can try many dishes.

Tonight we had arguably one of the best meals I've ever had. I had Pan roasted halibut with a tomato and corn salsa and cola flour grits with brussel sprouts. It was amazing. My wife had the sirloin and it was cooked to perfection. This restaurant is such a gem to have in the Harbor. Highly recommended to anyone.

I felt like I stepped back in time, the atmosphere was so welcoming. Everyone at the restaurant was so helpful. This time we tried the pea shoot salad, which is now my favorite thing. The drinks, food, and dessert were out of this world, everything as always is at Bascule. See you again soon!

Best food and staff combination I’ve had in my entire life. We were on vacation and we’re looking for a semi fancy place to eat. We walked in to a restaurant filled with life. Our waiter explained everything on the menu and even made my brother a special drink when he didn’t know what to order. He made us laugh out loud and convinced me to try two new items that I ended up loving. Food was delicious. I got a salad, soup and tiramisu and still wanted more. Absolutely lovely!

We hadn't been to Bascule Bridge Grille for a while and if anything it was better than I remembered it, which was already pretty good. The food was excellent, the Bolognese was one of the best I've had in a while, a bit sweet and maybe a tad thinner sauce than some, wonderful nonetheless. A long wine list is a plus and the drink menu has pretty much something for everyone.

First time dining here. Business dinner with management from CA and CO. I was very pleasantly surprised that Ashtabula has food this good. Nice reasonable wine list, and everyone spoke highly of their dinner. Service was good and timely. Will return.

A perfect bistro meal. Great service, beverages and amazing plates. May 2022 update: still the perfect Lake Erie waterfront Bistro. Perfect drinks, food, and service. We were lucky enough to be served by "Mo" tonight. Loved everything.

This was the second time I was there and both times the meal was delicious for everyone and service was superb. I live in LA.

We had a very delicious meal. The atmosphere was very quaint. Our server Ryan took excellent care of us. We were impressed by everyone and John the Chef/Proprietor came to our table to make sure everything was prepared to our satisfaction. We would definitely recommend and hope to be back soon.

The food and service here was top notch! Our friends and us recently got the Erie Dining Group cards. We decided we would start at the top and make our way through the list. Bascule Bridge Grille was the first place on the list. Our server was Moe and honestly he was the best server any of us had ever had. He was super personable and helped us with choosing what to eat! He did amazing. We had absolutely zero complaints. Everything tasted amazing. *chefs kiss*
