My clunky 25 yr old Specialized bike needed some work, and the guys at Beechwold did a great job bringing it back to life. New tires & tubes, brake shoes & adjustment, and a general health check. I'm ready to ride!

Master work at Beechwold Bicycles, they truly went above and beyond in making sure I understand what was wrong, what could be wrong, and how to go about repairs. Communication was excellent, and they had my bike ready for the road in no time. I can't wait to work with them again soon:)

When I am looking for a new store or place of business for any service related need, I always look at the negative reviews. Because that is where you will find reviews left by actual customers relating to an actual experience they had. Friends and family of the owner or employees will never leave a negative review.

That said, I decided to stop in anyway seeing as how it was the closest shop to my house. I stopped in with some technical questions on the function of a rear derailer and to see if I could find a replacement front wheel for a 5 year old crossover mountain bike. I was treated like I had the mechanical understanding of an inebriated barn yard animal. As a mechanical engineer and backyard wrench turner I was bristling with indignation but kept my calm just hoping to get a wheel. The guy tried to sell me a 24" kids bike wheel and insisted it was the right size. At that point I had had enough. Wished him a good day and left. I should have stuck to my policy regarding reviews. Something else that's really put me off of this shop is the owners snide attempts to defend the poor service complained about in these reviews. Who does that? Someone that is definitely NOT looking to make new lifelong return customers. I understand the desire to back up your staff, but your methodology leaves me making a face like I just took a pull from a year old beer left outside in the sun.

After being told from another Clintonville bike shop that he didn’t have time to repair a bike, I brought it to Beechwold Bicycles. First time in there. I was amazed at how clean and organized the sales floor was and the employees were to quick to help. They took the bike behind the counter where I still could see what they were doing and they quoted a price and to my surprise, they said it would be repaired in 24 hours! I didn’t notice the outside window advertised 24 hour repairs! They did a great job on the repair for a fair price. This will be my only bike shop going forward!

We were shopping for a new bike for myself and started at Beechwold Bikes. We walked out with a beautiful Columbus made bike and couldn’t be happier. Micheal, the owner, made it an easy choice. He was able to answer all our questions and there was no pressure. It was great to see his sons working there with him. A really nice family business that I felt great doing business with.

Very nice shop! Now I know why the Clintonville locals recommend this bike store. They gave me a fair check of my dad's old bike without taking extra money. I can't say that for a lot of businesses. And they have two dogs in the back.

Bought a new bike from Beechwold Bicycles. Luke was so knowledgeable and helpful. Love that they do a year of free maintenance when you buy a bike from them. Highly recommend!

The teenagers running the shop are in way over their heads when it comes to E-Bikes and customer service. My original request was a simple brake bleed. Their policy is "done tomorrow by 3: 00 the next day unless we call". I arrived the next day at 3: 30 and the bike had not been started. I had walked 7 miles to get there to pick up my bike.

I sat there for an hour while he worked on my bike. Three walk-ins also came and received immediate attention. Good for walk-ins, bad for scheduled customers. He needed to order a caliper - we agreed on a rotor/caliper upgrade but it had to be scheduled - to be done in a week. Arrived in a week (no call) and they had not touched the bike.

I was also reading about my bike and it has a power-off switch. The caliper he ordered does not have it. He made a unilateral decision I did not need the power cutoff or brake lights. I went in, hoping to talk to the manager but he was out. The shop was run by these kids who don't know what they are doing.

He started to hem and haw about what we should order and finally said "take your bike and go - I don't want to work on it anymore".

Totally rude, ignorant, and unprofessional. If you have an e-Bike or heavy bike, go somewhere else. Worst customer service ever being run by ignorant high school kids.

Very pleased by the service provided a number of times. They are a honest, fairly priced local shop. My old bike needed a major upgrade from the old 27 inches wheel size to the standard today 700c, and overall tune. They found the right components for my needs and put everything together. Very happy with the results, my bike goes smooth and perfect. Highly recommended bike shop.

It has become increasingly difficult to find a bicycle shop that provides good, dependable service. Beechwold Bicycles is at the top of my list for getting good care for my bicycle. The employees are sincerely enthusiastic about bicycles and do great work!

I've been looking for a bike off and on over the past few months, and it wasn't until recently that I decided to go for it. I wanted something within the $500-$700 range, and I didn't want to spend too much on a bike with less features (rim instead of disc brakes). Knowing about the plethora of bicycle stores on North High, I had planned on starting with Beechwold Bicycles and working my way down. Little did I know that Beechwold would be the only stop I needed to make.

The staff immediately greeted me and asked what I needed help finding. I told them I was looking for a bike in the $500 to $700 range, and they quickly took me over to a selection of Marin bikes that they recommended. They offered me a test ride, along with some information about the brand, and it was in that moment that I knew I was walking out with a bicycle.

All of this to say, I would highly recommend Beechwold Bicycles to all of my friends, and I will continue to return to them for all of my biking needs. They might have a small selection of parts and accessories, but their recommendations, friendly demeanor, and quality customer service will keep me coming back for years to come. I used to come here sometimes back when it was a Schwinn shop. I'm so glad to see a new owner continuing to run a bike shop at this location. This is mostly a bike shop for the entry level or novice rider on a budget. There's not much in the way of parts and accessories inventory on display, but good service at a good price.
