The testing was thorough and the staff were very nice. I bought the Amaze which were almost $5,000. I try to keep my ears clean but these are vulnerable to blockage due to wax. Two things I’m not happy about. 1. The Bluetooth is very finicky and likes to disconnect easily. 2. No extra buds were given. When I cleaned the buds I removed them from the actual apparatus that goes in the ear. If you don’t seat them properly to the apparatus they will fall off when you remove them from your ear. I had to make a call and and they special ordered and shipped to my house. It’s funny because with the purchase of a car they throw in a spare tire which I’m sure is included into the price. At $5,000 maybe throw in a couple of spare buds, because without the buds they’re as good as sticking an M&M in your ear.

Beltone in Middleburg Heights has some of the nicest people I've ever met! They allowed me to bring my 87 year old mom by without an appointment, came out to the car so I didn't have to put her in her wheelchair, and removed her ear wax! Who does that? You guys (gals) are awesome!

You were so kind on the phone and so kind in person. Thank you so much! My mom was over the moon that she could hear. Thank you again so much!

Mike, hearing specialist, is excellent. Knowledgeable, professional and friendly. Easy to work with on my hearing issues and great help with my hearing aids. Sadly, one of the best front office people I have ever met, Rochelle, was no longer there today.never called back from the virus shutdown. Beltone was short sighted in letting her get away as Mike is holding the office together alone. I changed offices a number of years ago because of how well Rochelle ran this location compared to the one I started at. People do matter.

I was serviced quickly, however, adjustments were forgotten. I asked about batteries when my rechargeable batteries die, I was told to contact Blue Cross. I contacted Blue Cross and found out the replacement disposables are part of the Federal employee program. This information should be sent to Michael Wallet at the Middleburg Hts Beltone office so I can get my replacement batteries.

Visiting from California here, I was recommended to Beltone in Middleburg Heights for a needed adjustment to my hearing aids. Mike Wallett and Rochelle were great! Friendly and highly competent, much helping me enjoy my stay here. I pass that recommendation on to anyone. Thanks, giys!

Snorkeling with hearing aids.
Don't do it!
I recently went on a cruise and booked an Excursion to go snorkeling with my wife.
I made sure to remove my hearing aids before getting into the water. Afterwards I put my hearing aids back in and we had wonderful shore lunch. We walked to another location on the island and my wife went swimming but I decided to Sun myself. My wife wanted me to go swimming with her and just before our boat was supposed to leave I decided I would take another dip in the Beautiful crystal clear Caribbean Waters. I walked out to waist deep Waters and dove in and swam underwater for about 50 feet. When I popped my head out of the water I suddenly came to the realization that I was still wearing my hearing aids. I reached up to take them out but I found one of them was missing. I swam back to shore and asked the Lifeguard if he had a mask that I might be able to use to help find my missing hearing aid. He said "Yeah mon dawn go away" and ran to get me a mask. After he threw me the mask I swam in a grid pattern and looked for my missing hearing aid. Everyone told me I was crazy and I was never going to find it at the bottom of the ocean. After a Relentless search I was about to give up but then I decided to try something, I took out my other hearing aid and threw it into the water ahead of me. I did this to give me a reference of what it was going to look like to find the other hearing aid. The boat was going to leave in 5 minutes and I was getting desperate. I found my sample hearing aid and realized how it would blend into the sand. The only thing that stood out was the little black tip that would normally go into my ear. So I started looking for just the black tip and went back over my grid pattern. I could hardly believe it when I saw the other hearing aid. I drove down for it but found out it was much deeper than I thought and had to swim down deep and pick it up from the sand. I immediately rushed both hearing aids over to the bar that was nearby serving drinks. I removed the batteries and ask the bartender for a glass of freshwater along with an empty glass. I placed both hearing aids in the fresh water and washed them back and forth into the glasses over and over. I replaced the fresh water two more times and then placed both hearing aids into a container with more freshwater and took it with me onto the boat. I let them soak overnight in our stateroom and took them out the next morning and let them dry on some clean Kleenex tissues for several hours. I decided I had nothing to lose so I put in a fresh pair of batteries and to my surprise both of the hearing aids worked perfectly. Later when I returned home I told the story to the staff at Beltone in Middleburg Heights. They told me that their products are coated with a protective nanotechnology and are certified to work after being in a swimming pool for up to 30 minutes but they were surprised that I was able to revive them from saltwater immersion. I must say that the staff at this location is exemplary. They cleaned and tested my hearing aids. I was so happy to have them back again and to know that they had been checked by Rochell and Mike of Beltone. I wouldn't take my hearing aids to any other location.
Sincerely,
Paul A. Valley
