This place took my son when nobody else would. They promised they would keep him until they found a residential for him. That if they released my son it would be setting us both up for the fall. They released him on November 15 2023! They were told by myself, my sons counselors and the school that he was not ready to go home. My son told them the morning before they released him that he was NOT ready. They had to shoot him with Ativan to calm him down and then released him anyway! They told me they would accept him back if he needed to go back. Now 5 days later he needs to go back and they will not even put my son on a waiting list let alone accept him back! They could have kept him like we all told them to do and saved my son a lot of mental frustration and hopelessness! Now 2 days he is just laying in an emergency room and we are back to square one with nobody to help him! Shame on them for ever releasing him to begin with. I will never understand why they did this to him and do not know how they sleep at night knowing what they did to him. This is truly unbelievable and also unacceptable!

We went into our visit with low expectations because of the hospital's reputation among first responders. BUT, we were extremely impressed with the care our daughter received. The wait for a room is long - but that is due to the depth of attention and care being given to the patients who are in those rooms before they are discharged. During her stay, the clinicians were able to get our daughter to talk about things that even her therapist and closest friends did not know. And they were able to provide her with the words and tools she needed to understand and discuss her illness moving forward. We have referrals to a number of outpatient programs that we intend to pursue and we are so grateful for the support we have had from all of the staff. You guys are doing the work that matters!

I am not sure why there are negative reviews about this. We had the best experience one could have given the situation. The staff at Nationwide is amazing. They provide care and education to both the patient and caregivers and ensure that everyone has tools to use when they return home. I love how there is an entire team to focus on all aspects of a child's behavioral health, psychologists, psychiatrists, med management, therapies, and parent education and planning. We had to drive 3.5 hours to utilize this hospital, but it was worth the care we received. Ronald McDonald House is right across the street and provided everything we needed to make our stay as pleasant as could be.

Do not go here if your child has behavior health needs. After waiting 6 hours, the lady tells me without an active crisis, they can't help. They "Don't do behavioral health". Me: "It's literally called the BEHAVIORAL HEALTH PAVILION. " Her: "I know. I wish they'd change the name. "

Waste of time and insurance.

As a kid who has been here too many times, I can say this place has done nothing to help me. I struggle with serious mental health problems, and when I assured dr. Scott and dr. Goldberg that I was going to keep hurting myself and attempting very bad things, they sent me home. THEY DID NOTHING WHILE I BEGGED THEM TO HELP ME! You wait for hours and hours only to recurve no help. I have hurt myself every single time have gone here, and no one stopped me. The only people who helped me were the people at main campus, who gave me hope and made me realize my value in life. Please realize that these people know nothing about how to help kids.

They sent us away because our son has only atttacked myself and my wife not iur daughter. He also tried to kill himself and no help from them at all. Just talk for maybe an hour then send tou home. I guess when someone actually gets seriously hurt they will then consider doing something. What a joke.

Several years in, things are getting worse rather than better. IFAST is a joke! Went in again during a crisis, the so called counselor providing the assessment isn't even capable of assessing a runny nose let alone serious matters like suicide ideation.

I was inside for a few days and there are some irritating stuff mostly with just getting visitors. I honestly think my time was productive. My doctors cared about me, made feel safe to open up, I even got to go on a few walks. I still do struggle with some of my issues but my stay here was a step in the right direction.

This place is a joke. They do not care if your child is suicidal or homicidal, their rhetoric is lock up your knives and remove anything they can kill themselves with from the home, then we recommend outside therapy. They don't even care that a child has tried suicide. They just send you home. Why am I paying for a hospital who fails to help kids. Zero stars if I could. As big as Columbus is and the amount of money this hospital brings, they should be able to help. You come here to get a safety plan out of them, that's it.
