Big Rock Cabins, Beaver OH

We have stayed in 4 cabins this year. COVID crazy.and, BY FAR, this was the best yet. The attention to detail.having the bird feeder filled for the thieving squirrel, the music upon arrival, the hospitality of a tour of the cabin to show us a couple of the unique qualities so we didn't get frustrated, the cleanliness (you'd think that would be a no brainer.but it's NOT) and the comfort was all over the top. We loved that there were no kids (kids are great, but grown up silence is awesome), and no parties in the neighboring cabins. No WIFI, no strangers walking by, no loud noises.an exceptionally restful weekend!

If we could give a higher ranking, we absolutely would. We will certainly be back!

My girlfriend and I just got back from spending 3 nights here at Big Rock. What an amazing 3 nights they truly were. It was so peaceful and relaxing to disconnect from the world for awhile. We felt like we were the only 2 people in the world. If you're looking for a romantic getaway you can't go wrong! Also tell Barkley TJ and Izzy had Hi.

We had an absolutely fantastic experience at Big Rock Cabins. We stayed there because it's so close to Cincinnati and seemed like a great place for a socially-distanced getaway. I'm so glad we discovered this hidden jewel! The cabin was immaculate and filled with thoughtful touches. The grounds are lovely and secluded. The on-property hiking trails are well-maintained and picturesque. We are looking forward to another visit.

Outstanding place to stay. Every detail is anticipated and everything is done to highest quality. I really cant figure out how Erin keeps all the antique fixtures in perfect working order. That in itself is a marvel. It's quite an experience to just use the old fashioned faucets and fixtures, right alongside Bose stereo equipment! The trails are beyond beautiful! I just cant say enough about this property. We loved it.

The unique cabins have been creatively built and decorated to peak your interest. We stayed in the Big Rock cabin. It was comfortable and personal. The privacy was wonderful. We enjoyed our time away from everything but each other. We hiked up the paths near our cabin and enjoyed nature and the view. We would recommend a stay at Big Rock Cabins.

I love this place so much, I almost don't want to tell others about it. At first, it seems a little pricey, but when you stay there for a few days you can't help but know it was worth every penny. The hot tub, the bird feeder, the gas grill, the surround sound system.all the ambience! My wife and I have gone there for our last 9 anniversaries. I'm looking forward to the next one!

My wife and I have been coming here since 2012. We stayed at the Back Forty recently and enjoyed every minute of our stay. We even added in an extra night because we didn’t want to go home and Erin was great at calling us back and setting us up for another night. It was really cool to see Barkley on our visit as well. We plan on returning in September.

Most Amazing place ever, very peaceful and relaxing. The owner is very nice and the cabins are beautiful. I also like how it's 21 & over. Just wish they had a couple cabins with two bedrooms I'd like to take my daughter and her boyfriend next year. Planning on coming back next year for our 5th wedding anniversary! Highly recommended. Will return for sure

Cute cozy cabin tucked in a beautiful serene setting. Whether you are looking for a romantic getaway or some place to relax and get away from the everyday hustle these cabins are perfect. We stay in the Glen Erin cabin and just love the decor and location to hiking trails. A visit from the owners dog Barkley is a real treat too!

Our second stay at this fantastic getaway. Val and Erin have this place down pat! The cabins are personally touched artistically rustic. Erin is very personable and cares for the comfort of each person who comes to this place. He gives us a run thru and leaves us alone, but insists that if we have immediate concerns to call him.
His little furiend, Sir Barkley, greeted us a couple times. A very friendly pup.
I HIGHLY recommend Big Rock Cabins for your getaway. I know that we will come back more and more.

Gorgeous land and very special cabins finished with unique touches, clearly with their guests in mind. Clean hot tub on a private and serene back porch with a view too!

Best place to stay hands down! My wife and I have traveled all over and stayed in hundreds of places in the Ohio and surrounding states. Erin's cabins cannot be beat. His skills are evident in every aspect of the construction of these cabins. The attention to detail and meticulous craftsmanship is second to none. If you are looking for an amazing secluded location with the best cabins anywhere look no further. Erin, you are an amazing craftsman and gentleman to boot. Keep up the good work and persevere my friend. We will be back to see you soon!

Best place will make this a annual trip very nice and relaxing loved the hiking great for a nice romantic weekend

One of the most enjoyable experiences we have ever had together. The cabin is enchanting and wonderful the hiking was great rock formations were wonderful. We are going back real soon.

The owners are the kindest people ever. The cabins are deep into the nature, the perfect gateaway. The cabins are originals, cozy, fully equiped, cozy and romantic.
I will definitely go back there as soon as possible.

Had a amazing 3 day stay at the Gobblers Knob cabin at Big Rock, we loved the cabin, cozy, creative decor, kitchen area had everything needed to prepare most basic meals, grill worked as well. Stone fire pit outback with logs was great for cooking stick food and just sitting around the campfire every night. Enjoyable local trails to hike if you feel like exploring. Privacy was exceptional, we'll definitely be coming back.

While our final destination was an hour away from the cabin, the overall perfectness of the cabin and property made it well worth the extra drive. We were spending the weekend at Ohio University, and due to changes in plans we took a long shot and started looking for a cabin to stay at rather than cutting our trip short. I was a little worried about whether a 10: 30pm check-in time was beyond possible, and honestly I was so hurried to find a place I didn't look long at the cabin or the features. But Erin met us at the check-in spot, and sent us up to the cabin to look around and settle in. The moment we opened the door- we were both just overwhelmed. Every single detail in the design of the cabin, and the decor was perfect. There was soft music playing, that disco ball- and the gas fireplace going. I couldnt have asked for a more delightful entrance. The details, from the layout of the cabin to even the unique plumbing - everything was perfectly thought out and just incredible. Our first night we watched a beautiful snowfall from the hot tub, and then from the wall to wall windows. Peaceful doesn't even begin to describe it. Perfect for any couple needing a get-a-way.

We've stayed in Hocking Hills yearly, with our kids and while we've always had beautiful cabins, I can't think of one that came close to The Back Forty.you really walk in and can tell this place was a labor of love. And meeting Erin and talking with him about the cabin just completely topped the experience. So many little touches, you could tell this was his calling. I'm already trying to figure out how soon we can come back just to be able to enjoy the cabin and property.

This place was such a hidden gem. From the moment we got there, I was in love. Every detail was just perfect. Watching the beautiful birds at the bird house, while in the hot tub was so nice. We stayed in Gobblers Knob cabin and will most definitely be returning. We would love to go back every year if possible. My husband and I were so relaxed and enjoyed every moment. The trails were beautiful, and the rock formations are incredible. You will not be disappointed
