Blacklick Woods Metro Park reviews
30If you like squirrels then this is the place to be. I've ran at this park off and on for over 20 plus years. Lots of good memories here. A really nice park.
Lots of easy trails. Some are even paved for those who have wheelchairs or strollers. Lots of well spaced picnic tables.
Beautiful Park, its treat for nature lovers. Lots of place for barbecue and parking too big actually. Two Playgrounds for children to play around and they will never get bored.
Great scenic trails, large areas with fields to run and play with your family. Plenty of jungle gyms and workout stations as well. Rentable areas for large family events or party's
Lots of nice walking or biking paths with maps along the way so you don't take a wrong turn. Also, a great learning time with pictures of flowers including names next to where the flowers are growing.
I've been running here consistently for 20+ years. GREAT park for running. It has a mostly shaded 4 mile loop trail in the woods. Both dirt and paved trail with restrooms and several water fountains. Every half mile of the main trail is clearly marked. And there are several other "non main" trails for more fun including a pond and several playgrounds. Plenty of parking as well. HIGHLY SUGGEST.
Nice, tranquil. However, everytime I went to go on a trail they were marked no dogs, so I would say its not pet friendly. If they have pet friendly trails, I did not see them. There were plenty deer and they don't seem fearful of people.
Love love love this metro park. Some great hiking trails and awesome playgrounds for my kiddos.
An excellent Columbus metropark. Fairly small, but a lot of older trees and lowlands-very flat. And access to a large network of long bike trails.
Multiple hairy woodpeckers, pileated woodpeckers, red-bellied woodpeckers, cardinals, blue jays, chickadees, a red-tailed hawk, and other birds I couldn't name as well as many friendly squirrels. The boardwalks over the swamps are cool. Please mask up. There is a lot of parking available, and you can get a park map online.
This park would be so much better if the city would put up one of those giant walls along the freeway. The part of the path that allows dogs is all traffic noise. The nature trails are much nicer but don't allow dogs.
This is a beautifully-maintained park, with a cozy and informative nature center run by friendly people. Great place to walk through some gorgeous, authentic Ohio wetland.
I've grown up with Blacklick Woods all of my life and I have many fond memories there. And now, I am making more memories there with my Grandchildren as well! Wonderful Patk!
We came here for the 70th birthday of the park. Great day with many activities. This is also a great park every other day. Wonderful nature center and great multi use paths.
Cool park to do parky things in. Maybe a hike or just drive by to see the occasional sketchy car drive in, park for 45min, and drive away.
Had a blast here for thr 70th birthday party with my kids. The park was really clean, the Rangers were very helpful and nice and the trails were great. I'd come back here in a heartbeat.
The "drive thru" aspect is really nice if you are not up for a hike at the moment you can still get some good nature in, also I encountered a deer crossing the path, great forest experience with tall trees, unfortunately you never completely lose the sound of the road, but it does get reasonably quiet
My favorite of all metro parks for walks or just to enjoy nature. Absolutely love this park, l just wish it was down the street from me so l can go every chance I get.
Beautiful park. We were there taking pictures of a wedding for my niece. I found a small pond with a nice sitting area. It's the 1st left. We also went down by the observation area and took awesome fall pictures there. There walking trails are beautiful. Flowers all season long. Fall foliage is awesome.
