2 I've had family in Essex, CHC and Blossom. Blossom is most definitely our choice out of the three.
Answering call lights in a reasonable time is a big issue. As is adhereing to scheduled 'shower' days.
However, I ALWAYS was able to communicate with staff regarding my husband's needs/complaints to get issues resolved. Bonnie, at the front desk, is very helpful in connecting you to the right person.
No matter where your loved one is, you MUST advocate for them. Ask the resident questions about meds and food. And when they were showered last. If the resident doesn't recall, ASK nurses, the Director of Nursing, aides, and of course, the Social Worker.
Blossom has such caring staff. They really strive to make residents stay there Very comfortable. Thank you for everything you do.
