Boardman Library

New to area and wanted to explore the Library. It's a good walk from my house so that's nice. I was able to navigate everything quickly. The librarians were very helpful. Easy to use computer and printer systems. Request for books and DVDS came quickly and easy to renew. Library itself very clean. Lots of parking and restrooms inside.

I found the Bdmn Library
Depressing. The lighting, to me, made it hard to read the paper. The whole library some how, left me an overall sense of depression.

This library has several rooms you can reserve for studying, writing, etc. There are plenty of spaces in the common area that can be used as well, but the rooms are nice for closing the rest of the world out. They have an ample number of computers and a color printer. They also have a machine for adding money to your account in case the librarians are busy with other patrons (or you just prefer to be self-sufficient). The librarians are super friendly and helpful. The library is part of the Public Library of Youngstown and Mahoning County network of libraries which is part of the SearchOhio network which is part of OhioLINK network which makes getting virtually any book super easy. I've borrowed books from many other counties because of this network. This library's selection is a decent size, but obviously not as big as say the Main branch downtown. But again, the fact that it's part of a larger network doesn't stop you from being able to get the book you want. The computers and keyboards look a bit "dirty", but I'm honestly thinking it's because of the sanitizing they are doing (I have no evidence to support that theory but the look of it makes me believe that's what it is).

I had an event at the Boardman library Friday November 19th, I have a nonprofit organization in which I provide FREE makeup classes. When I got there it was not set up for 63 people as it was supposed to be, the tables and chairs were filthy. Their computer systems are outdated, the workers were unfriendly and not helpful at all. This was my 1st and LAST event here. NEVER AGAIN! Very unprofessional of the library’s staff. TIME… Is the most precious thing we have in life. Time was wasted. Everything should of been on point because the event was on their schedule. I’d like my deposit back!

It could appeal to kids more: add a fish tank, more kid-friendly decorations.
The staff is friendly.

Very clean, nice library. They're not part of Clevnet so I wasn't able to use my card with their computers, but they set me up with a courtesy card and showed me what to do. Super friendly staff!

The best one to go to. They are always very nice very welcoming and so helpful when your looking for something and can't find it!

Great place and the people who work here are really nice. Very organized. They are doing a wonderful job with sanitizing!
