Box performance built my 540 blower motor 18 yrs.ago and it still runs like he built it yesterday, put this engine in my 69 Chevelle, the sound and performance of this engine is unbelievable and everywhere we go with this car attracts unbelievable attention from the crowd. The car has been in numerous magazines and has won numerous trophies to the point that I have no more room for these trophies. We are very pleased with this cars performance and Gary himself still builds my engine's to this day.

I was introduced to Gary Box about 10 yrs ago by a very good friend of mine. He rebuilt a 750 Holley carb for me. It starts consistently each time, improved performance and has been very reliable. I’m happy.

In May of 2021 Box Performance tuned my 67 Camaro big block. They did a great job, car never ran better. While driving home I notice a bad knock, Gary took the time to come to my house on a Saturday to check it out. He ultimately suggested I park it and pull the motor. Fast forward to July of this year when I finally had time to pull the motor and take it to Gary. The motor was junk, unfortunately the previous shop who built my motor did a poor job and the motor had spun a rod. I had Gary build me a new 427. After putting the new motor in and getting it fired, on the break in drive I noticed a tick. Pulled the valve and discovered a broken push rod guide plate. Again, Gary came out on a Saturday to replace it. Two days later on another break in drive, I noticed the same noise on the other side. Pulled the valve and another broken Dart push rod guide. Gary told me to park it, he would replace them all. I took one of the defective parts to work and had our metallurgist look at the part, they said if it was heat treated, it was poorly done. In my view, this was clearly a bad patch of parts from the supplier. In repairing the motor, 6 of the 8 push rod guide plates had cracked. Gary fixed the issue, new push rod guide plates, all new rockers, 6 hours of time, ALL AT HIS COST. For anyone who owns a small business, you know this was a significant investment by Box to make this right, Dart should take notice and stand behind their parts instead of stiffing the small business that support them. I would take my car to Box in a heartbeat, they do great work and if something goes wrong, they STAND BEHIND THEIR WORK. For all those saying Box does not stand behind their work, as someone who actually paid Box to do work, I disagree.

Box tuned my frame off restored 1968 427 corvette. Did a fantastic job! The car did everything it was supposed to do and ran fantastic! Highly recommend them for their honesty, quick turn around

Always quality work and known them for years. Taking the word of one cry baby on Facebook and dumping a companies reputation for a stupid mistake is childish. Box Performance aren’t liars and all these Billy fans literally just are upset like he’s their daddy because they read his Facebook post crying before contacting Box like a man.

I’ve been a customer of box performance Inc, for approximately 20 years. I am the original owner of a 68Z 28 Camaro with the original small block 302 in. ³ engine that was raced in stock class in the early 70s. I returned it to the street And Gary Box instrumental in helping me to de-tune the engine so that it is a wonderful driver and very streetable. I can’t imagine taking this car to anyone else.

Box Performance is the best. They have built 5 motors for me and they are wicked fast and bullet proof. The staff at box Performance are super helpful and friendly and will do anything to help you out when you're racing. If you want to go fast Box Performance is the shop for you.

If you want a place to take responsibility for there mistakes. This isn’t the place for you. 30k mistake and you can’t own up to it. Make thing right with SRC.

I took my Pontiac 400 engine block to Gary with the intention of having him use a stroker kit to rebuild it. After discussing all the options that Box Performance could do for me I pretty much gave Gary freedom to choose which components would be best for my application. I knew that I wanted an engine that could be used on the street and at the track. Instead of using a kit he came up with one of his proven Pontiac combinations for HP and Torque to achieve 468” using E-85 for fuel. I am more than pleased. The Box family is very pleasant to work with and I would not hesitate to work with them again for future projects.
