Living here was a nightmare.as many of the reviews show, roaches were a huge issue the entire year we lived here.move in day was a joke, nothing was prepared and it seemed like we were an inconvenience when we asked questions.we put in so many service requests for our AC unit and were constantly told it was fine, but our apartment was consistently in the high 70°’s the whole summer no matter how low we tried turning the temp down.kitchen sink leaked multiple times ruining everything we had in our cabinets.the oven doors cannot even open properly as the fridge sticks out too far into the kitchen and they collide, and one of our drawers wouldn’t open unless the oven was open.small but very annoying things all thru the unit.open holes where the floor meets cabinets in the kitchen.the property was messy, trash constantly piled up every single weekend near the dumpster.our bedroom window was shattered when we moved in and there was glass on the floor on move in day in the living room.it also never felt like a safe community.multiple times had police helicopters overhead and parking lot marked off with crime tape due to gunshots in the parking lot.do yourself a favor and look elsewhere.i’ve never been so relieved for a lease to end.if i could give zero stars, i would.

I have lived here since May of 2020 and it's been a complete nightmare, neighbors SMOKING WEED and my apartment ends up smelling like weed. Nothing ever gets fixed the first time. All residents are charged a monthly fee for pest control and now there is a ROACHES/silverfish infestation. My neighbor must of had issues and when they bombed their place the insects came to my apartment. The only reason I haven't moved is because of rent prices, but I will live in my car before I sign a new lease here. The rent here is the equivalent to other nicer apartments anyway,

I submitted my application on May 18,2023. During this time the rent was $1,021. I followed up several times, and I was told the person processing my application and voucher was on vacation. They also advised me that I had a move in date of June 22nd. Today they said I am denied do to the current rate. It's not the consumer fault someone not in place to do to job. Very disappointed in how they conduct business.

Currently living…. Amazing place and the workers are so professionals and empathetic - I always loved working with Mrs. Carolyn Ryan as she is clear on her job and treat with respects. Thank you for everything.

I moved here from Florida without ever seeing the unit before signing and loved it! Stayed for 1 year and only moved because we bought a house.

Staff is so kind and always throwing fun community events. Only had to call maintenance one time and they helped the very next day.

Lived here for 2 years and the maint team is awesome and responds quickly. Great place to live.

I have lived in Brooksedge by Cortland since 2019. The staff is very friendly and always willing to help. I love the fact that they do it with a smile. The maintenances staff are friendly and helpful when it comes to taking care of the apartments. When you put the work order in, the turn around time is good. They always have different activities for the community to get involved. A Great Place to Live!

I absolutely love this complex. I moved in last year and i am enjoying every second of it. I love how the property manager Carolyn is always so attentive and friendly. She literally addresses all my concerns. Furthermore, whenever you put in a request for a repair, they show up ride away. Thank you so much Cortland for making my stay here enjoyable.

Terrible experience the property manager is unpleasant and in appropriate to residents. Entire unit had roaches and they did nothing for weeks. Would recommend if you like terrible appliances and hazardous conditions to live in also paying for pest control monthly means im still responsible

Dirty place. Roaches constantly in apartments and no care or follow up from maintenance. Know lots of people livin here. STAY AWAY!

Horrible experience here. ROACHES.would have never thought this place would have this many issues with a decent star rating. Search them under reviews in the better business bureau 1.23/5 stars vs their 4/5 on here. Do yourself a favor and dodge a bullet and don't move here. This has been the biggest headache of my life. They also have deleted prior reviews from my boyfriend and I. What else are they hiding?

If you like ROACHES in your apartment that’s 1,400+ dollars a month this is the place for you! They think it’s perfectly safe and acceptable to live in these conditions and they will be concerned 6-10 business days later. Maybe the $30 valet trash you can’t opt out of is the reason these bugs loves this place so much! Also you might die trying to get up the steps or to your car in the winter because they also get to that in about 6-10 business days after the snow storm.

This property is well kept and clean. Staff extremely friendly and knowledgeable. Highly recommend!

I have been living here in Brooks edge Cortland community since 2022 but the management is great friendly and wonderful the leasing process is made easy and convenient no stress at all. They would go extra mile to make sure you are successful and comfortable. Carolyn is great hardworking and responsible she would attend to all maintenance requests and make sure they are done in time and follow up for confirmation if successfully done. I would recommend any one who wants to live with comfort and secured environment Brooks edge is the right choice and and I believe the apartment worthy of their price.
An ideal and comfortable place for human habitation if you want to experience living like in paradise Brooks edge is the right choice and place a real paradise on earth. The apartment is well equipped with a giant and modern electronic microwave, fridge freezer, a very high speed washer and dryer with a large and comfortable bath tube I love the large electric heater, the rooms are large and spacious with internet connections. I commended the trash service provided
The trash is collected right at your door steps very responsible and punctual. Security which is paramount is provided if you live at Brooks edge you feel like a king or queen because you will witness security patrols especially during the night which is the crucial time of the day, you feel secured and confident. I haven’t witnessed any criminal incidents or activity since I moved in. I love the environment it’s landscaping and natural preservation makes me breathe cleaner and fresh natural air. I really don’t regret of my choice for Brooks edge Cortland apartments it a real and ideal place to real your value for your money for comfortable residence

They don't fix anything. There's always an excuse yet they expect full payment each month.

I've been a tenant here since May of 2022 and it's a peaceful community and beautiful place to live, very clean facilities and friendly neighbors. Especially the maintenance crew try there best to make you comfortable in any repairs or emergencies that may occur including there weekends on-call maintenance team. This is Home for me, what a great place to live.

James and the entire team have been a pleasure to work with. Throughout the process of the move James keep in contact with me every step of the way and even called to see how everything was going with the move. We love the apartment and all that comes with it. Would definitely recommend to anyone looking for a new home.
