Buckeye Inn near OSU Medical Center, Columbus OH I-71 By OYO

Very dirty, the carpet is stained and sticky, the TV has only 5 channels, one of which is the TV guide, there's no coffee, and we found a "cigarette" butt on the bathroom sink.

Reserved room for 2 nights. Requested a room with microwave and refrigerator at check-in and still was given room without either. I was greatly disappointed and my companion spoke with the manager and WE WERE MOVED TO ANOTHER ROOM WITHOUT A MICROWAVE OR REFRIGERATOR! At that point I told the manager I was checking out and did not stay.

My room was clean and comfortable. There were little things, like a dent in the bathroom door, and the hot water from the shower squealed, but what do you want for a budget motel? The area isn't the greatest either, but that's part of the package. Overall, the quality was sufficient and my stay was good.

I actually want to give this place "0" stars because of hotel front desk agent. I had originally booked it for my sister and mother and was calling to confirm reservation and see if I could put my CC on file. The front desk agent was extremely aggressive over the phone. He kept on repeating that the person staying needed to show ID, which is obvious and standard for any reservation and was not what I was inquiring about. But he did not want to attempt to listen and at that point started to yell at me. I couldn't even get a word out, and still kept repeating saying I was not going to pay (mind you I had already paid booking in full) and I finally was able to say sir stop yelling at me I am your customer and you are not listening to what I am asking and he yelled I don't care. The only reason I stayed on the phone up to this point was because my sister was already on her way there from airport. I decided to look for something else and book her stay somewhere else. I was concerned about both my sister and moms safety since if he was that aggressive and bully over the phone what can be expected face to face.

My stay was pleasant and the staff was great. Very clean and comfortable. It was very quiete and safe. I will keep coming back for sure.

I had a booking and I had to cancel due to unforseen things and they charged me the entire stay not even a partial refund and I didn't even get to check in or anything their cancellation policy is a joke will never book with these people ever again

Awful service aspecial receptionist, we tried 2 times book room and always have a troubles to check in. Highly don't recommend!

Litteraly worst hotel i have probably ever bin to I don't know how to post a picture but the ceiling in my room is held up with duck tape that was painted white it's moldy and falling in right above the toilet the window glass is broken from the out side there's glass all out side the door they told me to go to didn't work and people just prop it open and the main light in the room didnt work terrible

Not the cleanest room key stoped working and got locked out of my room after getting snacks from the vending machine. Had to walk all the way across the hotel back to the lobby to get my key fixed where there was a very loud party going on food all over the floor. Couldn't even hear the person at the desk when they asked me for my driver's license that was in my room that unlocked out of told me they couldn't fix my key without my driver's license. That was again walked in my room because they're key quit working. Finally ended up getting in my room with a migraine from the noise will not be staying here again!

Everything was so nasty and the pictures are fake there isn’t even a pool it’s literally just grass and lawn chairs In a fence! I couldn’t even sleep here I had to leave because as soon as I walked in there was so many roaches and a blast of nasty smelling mold! DONT EVER STAY HERE! Stay safe and keep your lungs healthy go elsewhere!

The hotel, itself, was run down and not well taken care of. The entry door locks to get in the hallways were broken so anyone could just walk in. The securtiy gaurd on site was chit chatting with the front desk person when I arrived at 11: 30 pm. The room wasn't that great. My husband and I walked into our room and it had a very heavy smell of dampness, like an old basement. Turned on the light and there were gnats and mold on the walls (two pictures I posted, one you can see the mold with the bug). The couch had a huge stain on the cushion and one cushion was ripped almost completely off the back of the couch. The lamp shades were filthy and the bathroom sink clogged up very easily. No microwave, refrigerator, or coffee pot. However, the bed was comfy, no bed bugs/mice or roaches (from what we saw), the hotel was easy to find with it being right off the highway, and the A/C worked. You definitely get what you pay for here.

Oh dear God just don't! The others leaving reviews ain't kidding! First they don't tell you there's a $125 deposit even tho you booked online! I'm handicapped and don't do well with steps but yet my wife was told it's "only a short set of steps". 13. Yes 13 steps is "short" for someone with balance issues and is a fall risk, right? Then check in was sloooow! Was directed around the building to the "door" they said we'd see. There's 3 fyi.not one so you gotta guess where your room is bc they ain't telling ya.
The hall smelled of urine and mold. Then there is the gem of our room. Peeling pain, holes in walls, chipped paint, stains that look like blood
On wall. Our bed looked like someone had already been laying on it and was lumpy and felt old. Then ya got this view.yeah. Not one thing redeemed this place. Oh forgot to tell ya no coffee pot, no microwave nada! Oh and the TV is not even mounted straight see the pics I'm posting not even kidding. Where are negative stars when ya need em bc this place.is in negative digits!

Great value for the price, staff was very friendly. Housekeepers came everyday to take care of any room cleaning needs. Bedsheets and towels were way better than any near by motels within same price range.

The most absolutely disgusting place I have ever booked! Light fixture in the bathroom was leaking water from the upstairs room, Shower was littered with black mold, the smell is horrible, red stains on the walls (possibly blood). We checked out after a short stay because we couldn't stand the nastiness anymore. You would be happier sleeping in your car in a Walmart parking lot. I guarantee it!

Black mold in room 173 resulted in me having to sleep in my car from 430 until check out after having to use to EpiPen’s from an allergic reaction to the mold showed pictures of it to the staff filed a written complaint turned into their desk clerk, and then Priceline called me back after I sent them. The videos and pictures told him what happened and they claimed that the management told him I never filed a complaint so I didn’t get my money back worst $286. I’ve ever spent in my life had I not had two EpiPen’s I would’ve died

I truly wish there was a way to give zero stars. I booked through the online service hotwire, didn't have any problems on their end whatsoever. When I arrived at the hotel after driving for 7-hour straight. I was just looking for a shower and a place to rest for a few hours before getting back on the road. Firstly, this place was almost three u-turns to find. It's not accessible by the main road only by a side access road which makes it very confusing for customers and it's not marked properly. The next thing when I walked in there's a security guard sitting on the couch, eating chips and texting on his phone, which I found to be a little odd why he would be in the lobby and not patrolling the property making sure it's secure. I get up to the desk, and the gentleman asks for both of our IDs. My wife had put the room in her name, it didn't say anything about all parties needing ID on the website. The hotel manager goes into this long tirade about how the police regulation requires it. I truly didn't even have a problem with this, but he lied and said that he didn't refuse entry. I did not have my wallet and he refused to be entry, to get a refund, I ended up having to contact hotwire and get them to reverse the charges. This is the worst service in the worst place I've ever been. Reading the reviews about roaches and all the disrepair in the building. I'm so happy he turned us away. He probably did us a favor. Very rude service. No customer consideration whatsoever. Literally stay anywhere but here. Your car would be safer.

Disgusting. Noisy. Not a safe place for kids. $120.00 deposit required for rooms. Roaches in the rooms. Loud music from neighbors all night. Hotel rents rooms for "parties".

Upon check in i saw the the rooms were disgusting. I refused to stay and requested a return of my money. I was supposed to receive a full refund and only received a refund of $4.00. The hotel manager won't help, the customer service call center won't help. Pictures attached of the burn marks in the window blinds, tape holding the air conditioner together, the sink coming apart from the wall. There was also a terrible smell in this place. Like rancid dirty feet.

Most disgusting place I've ever stayed. Ashes dumped out on my dresser with an ashtray in my "non-smoking" room, active leak in the ceiling of the bathroom and stucco constantly falling off the ceiling. Also, very evident they did not vacuum prior to my stay. Do yourself a favor and go literally ANYWHERE else.

This place was disgusting, staid one night and hated every minute of it. Paint chipping off the walls, roach bait everywhere, hole in the bathtub, stains on sheets and chairs. Stunk like wet dog in the room. I wouldn't recommend this place to my worst enemy. Save ur money and go elsewhere because this ain't the place.
