This place is horrible. Please ud you ever run I to a case worker names Stacy she is horrible and deserves to be polishing boots not working for state

On August 8th I went to the welfare office in tears begging for help. My ex husband crippled me and is supposed to pay me 600 a week until my social security takes effect he is now 30 grand in the hole and child support "just can't seem to tag him down to a job" pretty much he job hops every 45 days but that ms for a different day.anyways they told me they couldn't give me emergency help even though I ca prove I've had no money to support 4 children and I'm about to lose it all. They called me on August 19th and miss tackett tells me she will get me an appointment right away! I hear NOTHING until this morning when miss tackett left me a voicemail on August 26th saying you had an appointment at 9a.m. Not my fault you didn't answer good bye! I call her back and she says sorry you'll have to reapply now. At this point I'm crying and say wow you're so efficient just toss my application right in the trash when I knew nothing she gives me her supervisors number Jake speaks and he tells me they sent me out a letter the 19th not his problem. Well guess what I just got at 2: 30 on the 26tj!? !? ! My appt letter 5 hours to late so I call them back and they said yup it was sent out the 19th I said ummm no you're not gonna tell me the post office stamoed this on the 24th to get you guys in trouble and that you did your job. So now my children and I habe to wait another month and hopefully don't lose our electric and home before they can see me again. I walk with a Cain and have seizures so if you know anyone that can help a woman who can't drive and has a messed up back from her ex husband beating her please let me know because the programs set up to help people in need arent real

They do what they must. I respect all of it. This is a very tuff area and many don't understand that. My only qualm would be them hanging up mid sentence when you're trying to discuss important matters. A few more years is all I keep telling myself. For the most part they've been good to me other than that. Mileage may vary I guess. Just try to see it from their side. It's hard.

This office is an absolute joke. They failed to serve the deadbeat while he was in jail in Clark County for 90 days even after I notified them. The case worker admitted she refiled the case “on accident”, but it took them 5 more years to serve him. Did I get arrears ordered for that time? No. Then to add salt to the wound they ordered $99/mo. My child was 7 by the time they served him, at the address they had on file from the beginning. He was also ordered to provide medical which never happened. Now my child is over 18 and I’m still owed over 5k in arrears (at $99/mo) and they’ve made no effort to enforce anything. It’s been 3 years of $1 and $0.75 payments. This entire time he has owned his own business in their county. They were provided the information and, as usual, did NOTHING. Maybe if I was on welfare they’d care.

It would be nice if people can get their money in advance a day ahead before y’all take off for the holidays it’s very unprofessional an rude to hold families back from what’s entitled to them! Hopefully the office of Columbus can do something about this for the upcoming year 2022. Y’all know ahead of time the days the office will be out so inform us too!

This county support office is a joke no words to express the lack of the enforcement on orders

Rudest people on Earth! I am currently owed $58,000 for my 2 children and Clark County refuses to enforce support. In 21 years the man has never done a day in jail and has 10 kids! This place received government funding to enforce child support and WILL not do it. They have made my life a living hell along with my children's other parent, of course. Truly a sham and a scam!

I pretty much agree with everyone else, I have been dealing with these people for years and they are rude. If they mess up your information they will blame it on you, and it has happened many times. They do not care about the people they are suppose to be helping. This is an edit as of a year later. As usual it was time for My yearly intake and review and my paperwork is "lost" in the mail. This could very well be true but it seems to happen every single year. Now I have to rush to Springfield once the System is back up (because it is down for the next five days for upgrades) and get My paperwork redone and turned in within two days. This office in Springfield Ohio needs serious overhaul and staff change.

From the looks of the workers they process food quicker than paperwork; this office is a joke and needs looked into for fraud, neglect and down right ignorant employees; the job center is a joke unless English is your second language and you have multiple children by several"donors". Worse than the US Senate

Called to get my Medicare renewed because of their fault. They called us a liar and had to be on hold on the phone for 40mins! How unprofessional would never reccomend this place to anyone!

Extremely difficult to get ahold of someone about a child support issue. Can't call someone directly, have to call and leave a message and wait for someone to call you back (if they even call back at all).

I have left several messages in regard to a case manager giving me a call back it is very unprofessional to be ignored its my case my info I need to know whats going on.

Said they would call for an over the phone interview between a certain time. Never called. Tried calling them the following day to see if we could speak to someone. We left a voice mail. A few days later we received a letter in the mail saying we missed our appointment and will be losing benefits. Are you serious. Odjfs was supposed to call US. They never return calls. This place is a joke.

The benefits plus division person i was speaking to insulted my intelligence and hung up on me! Trash quality workers!

Very unprofessional. They would make everyone’s day much better, if they just received you with a smile.
