A Nightmare at Boardman Ohio BMV - 1 Star

My recent visits to the Boardman Ohio BMV office were nothing short of a customer service nightmare. The entire experience left me appalled and utterly dissatisfied.

Conflicting Information:
During my first visit, I was provided with conflicting information regarding the documents required. The lack of consistency among staff members demonstrated a fundamental breakdown in communication and competence.

Unreasonable Requests:
On the second attempt, I was informed that my son's Social Security card needed to be signed. This bizarre requirement is not only unheard of but was presented in an unfriendly and unhelpful manner. The unnecessary hurdles only added frustration to an already unpleasant process.

Lack of Professionalism:
The overall atmosphere at the Boardman office was unwelcoming and lacked professionalism. The staff seemed disinterested in providing assistance and failed to create a customer-friendly environment.

Inefficiency and Incompetence:
The inefficiency at the Boardman BMV office was staggering. Long wait times, disorganized processes, and a general lack of competence left me questioning the overall functionality of the establishment.

Customer Disregard:
The blatant disregard for customer satisfaction was evident throughout my visits. The staff's indifference to my concerns and their inability to provide clear and accurate information showcased a complete disregard for the customer experience.

In conclusion, my encounters at the Boardman Ohio BMV office were nothing short of a horror story. The lack of professionalism, conflicting information, and overall disregard for efficient service make it an establishment I would strongly advise others to avoid.

I was there few days ago and dealt with Abby[badge says, Cat friendly]. She did an amazing job with utmost devotion and professionally. She is a GEM for BMV

This place is an absolute joke. Was told my loan documents that are listed on their sheet of acceptable documentation weren't proof of residency. The people here have no idea what they're doing. Save yourself the giant headache and just go somewhere else.

OMG the inefficiency is OFF THE CHARTS! Waiting room full and half the visible staff members standing around cackling! How RUDE!

Staff does not know states rules for photo IDs, or documents needed for new fed approved ID, and neither does manager. Manager is rude and talks down to you if you have a question and refuses to show you rules. Staff does not ask you if you want “VETERAN” on DL. Manager is son of owner and it shows.

My experience at the Bureau of Motor Vehicles was an alright an experience I didn't have a long wait, I was acquiring about a dog license for my puppy and they helped me the best they could.

It used to be that the bmv had alot of negative energy here. The workers seemed to be in a bad mood. Now, the atmosphere is alot different. People are friendly and since we really can't avoid coming here for these necessary documents to stay legal, they make it a more pleasant experience

Have never experienced customer service this bad! These woman are apparently super rich and don't need a job. Or.they just like collecting a paycheck from the state of Ohio without working. Save yourself time and go to Not UR BMV which is only a couple minutes away (8051 Market St Suite #5, Boardman, OH 44512). They can do everything this place can except they are super nice and the wait is way shorter.

I came to change my license, there were people arguing inside like an episode of Jerry springer. It wasn’t terrible though, I was in and out in under 30 minutes, staff was very friendly and respectful with me.

The employees and wait here are insufferable. Save yourself time and go to Not UR BMV which is only a couple minutes away (8051 Market St Suite #5, Boardman, OH 44512). They can do everything this place can except they are super nice and the wait is way shorter.

So I just left this place. I didn’t have any identification because I didn’t know I had to bring any so the lady told me I could go home and get it then come back before 4: 30 pm and I didn’t need an ID or anything. All I needed was my birth certificate and social security card. I went home, came back. I had my social and birth certificate. I sat in the reserved where they told me to sit and then some lady named “Nikaurvs” did not know what she was doing. She told me that I needed an address verification while the other lady told me I didn’t. When I was called up to the front from reserved I was face to face with this unprofessional, disrespectful, rude lady Nikaurvs. She kept asking me all kind of questions about my family which I told her my mom died and I explained that I don’t know my father and I was in foster care. She kept brushing me off saying that I need a form of identification while she raised her voice at me. I told her my history. She had my social security number in her hand and there was a man next to me and she was just waving it around while not paying attention to my identity that could’ve been stollen. I was talking in a respectful manner and she was telling me to calm down, misunderstanding me. She then dragged the conversation on after I told her I don’t appreciate the way she’s waving my social around with my numbers out and she told me to chill out. I feel like I was being discriminated against and I also feel like they’re not protecting my identity. My social was out. Anyone could see my numbers and her tone was just rude, misunderstanding. It seemed like they were just in a rush to go home. I’m explaining everything I’ve had a hard life and she’s talking over me. Train these people so one employee isn’t telling us one thing and then the other isn’t telling us something else. You need to also protect our identity more because I was also told to say my social security number and I asked to write it down because there was a lot of people around and they were trying to make me say it aloud instead of writing my social down. I will be contacting customer service for BMV.

Illegally charging 100% disabled veterans for plates that are free. Complete garbage and disrespectful towards disabled vets. Use another DMV if there is still another one open. So sick and tired of others taking advantage of others

Another great interaction at the Boardman BMV. Everyone there is almost always pleasant and helpful, even if sometimes I don't understand the laws and procedures.

The new arrangement with the check in kiosk and re-done windows is also super nice.

Came in to renew my ID the representative in front refused service every time I asked a question as to why she directed me to the website did not care was not helpful in anyway. Continuously rolled her eyes. I explained my frustration and asked for further help before I had left the woman screamed at me to leave and “seek service at another agency” never been so embarrassed in my life.
