Camp Miakonda, Erie Shores Council, Boy Scouts of America reviews
15Great place for camping. Good place to work for a short term summer job. I've been going there since I was a kid and I still love it there.
The cabins were not classy but they were perfect in their own way they had plenty of room for large groups or family's and the location was beautiful.best of all is the love and use of the property and land from the boys out troops in the area
This century-old Scout Campus a beautiful place that continues to evolve to meet the needs of young Scouts.
This place is a slice of Heaven. I can't believe how fortunate we are to have such a beautiful place here in Toledo.
Employees are friendly and kind. They are all out help if they can. It's a bit of a drive for me but well worth it
Good car wash for 5 dollars. That is the basic wash Other options are higher prices. Free diy vacuum after the wash.
When I saw this, I thought that is was nice, but no. The cabin we were staying In was “new”. I first thing I saw when I walked in was mold on the ceiling, holes in the ceiling, and that there was no shower when it said there was a shower. I didn’t think much of it. But me and my friends saw something flying around on the ceiling. So we were scared. So one of my friends next to the light switch turns the lights on and it was a bat flying around. At this point I was mad so the next day I just left and went home. I recommend blowing your money on another camping location because you have to pay like $100 something dollars to “rent” it.
Fantastic facility so close to the city. Clean & well maintained. Really feels like a true outdoor experience.
Had fun t their Halloween event the scouts did a really good job accommodating for little ones that don't like the really scary parts.
Great place to visit if you are into cubs and scouts.
We are visiting from Woodstock Ontario
This is a great little camp in the middle of a bustling part of town. Decent cabins and good bathroom facilities.
Need to get rid of the gaga ball pit. Disrupts the greatness of camping! All the kids want to do is play that dumb game. Other than that it's a great close place to camp.
Camp Miakonda is one of the oldest Scout Camps in America. It's amazing that you can be in a busy commercial part of Toledo and with a short walk be immersed in a thickly wooded Camp. All the cabins are unique and adds to the history of this place. The council offices are also located here. If you go to the office and have never been in the camp stroll across the bridge and see one of the nicest Scout Camps anywhere!
Very unfriendly trailer policy. Cannot drive trailer into camp after 6: 30pm. No other camp in my 18years of Scouting have I ran into such restrictions.
Best character and moral ground building institute ever for our kid. Hes growing personally morally and physically because of it. Love the troop 68 leaders as well they are awesome!
