Campus Camera & Imaging reviews
18Awesome local place for all camera needs. I was having a 85mm lens problem. It was throwing a error codes. They had me bring the lens and my camera up. Both Dan and Dano helped me out. Very knowledgeable and very polite. Honestly felt like i could sit there all day and BS about photography with them. Will defiantly be going there for all my camera needs moving forward.
The staff here are friendly and helpful. Just a bunch of guys that enjoy photography, which is exactly what we needed help with!
They have a reasonably good selection for the area but the staff are a little aggressive.made me always wanna know where the door is.
I visited the store to learn about new digital cameras and walked away with some high quality Canon gear. Dano is very, very knowledgeable and is a great help with lenses, cameras, flashes and everything else dealing with photography. I'm glad I stopped there for an in-person shopping experience.
My daughter, son and I went into Campus Camera with hopes to buy and trade camera equipment.
One of our trade-ins broke the day they were taking it in for trade, but they were so reasonable. Having to assume the risk that it may not be repairable, they still gave us a reasonable deal. You could tell it pained them to have to change their offer, but they worked with us.
There were other ways they went above and beyond, including examining some used equipment we were considering buying from someone.
They were extremely friendly and took the time to explain everything they sold us. We were so pleased with their service, we will definitely be returning there for our camera equipment needs in the future.
They have been very helpful in duplicating old photos. They come out very good and the color is fantastic.
Wow literally the worst customer service I have ever received. They are getting 1 star because it won't let me rate them 0. When I first arrived the people who work here were so incredibly rude. They awkwardly stare at you and don't even ask if you need anything. I had asked for my parents wedding video that was on VHS to be transferred to a jump drive. I had asked of it specifically on a jump drive because my laptop (like most laptops) doesn't have a DVD reader. They said that they convert it to a DVD but then can transfer it to a jump drive for an additional price. I told them that was fine and asked how long it would take. They said about a week. Well 3 weeks passed and no call. So I called them on a Monday and they said it would be done by that Friday. Another 3 weeks passed for them to finally call me, and when they did, they didn't even leave a voicemail, which is very unprofessional. So when I finally went in to pick up my video the guy that helped me was a very rude old man. He couldn't find my video and was very condescending asking if they "even called me to tell me it was done". To which I replied yes you just called me today saying it was done. Then when he found the DVD, he almost over charged for the jump drive because they didn't even put it on the jump drive like I asked! They only put it on the DVD! I questioned them on it and they said nothing. They didn't apologize or anything! So they made me wait 6 weeks just to not even do what I asked them to do. I didn't even bother to ask for them to transfer it again to a jump drive. I don't trust these people. Knowing them it wouldn't get done till next year, if at all. Highly disappointed with this company. Very unprofessional. I would never recommend them to anyone.
Great place, very helpful. Been around a long time. I've bought cameras. Flashes and lights, here. Very happy with service.
I have used Campus Camera for many years starting with my film developing. But now I'm loving digital photography and both Dan and Rich have been extremely helpful and knowledgeable in selecting the best lens for my photo needs, and repairing a lens last year.
Yesterday, Rich was very helpful, giving me plenty of time and suggestions, with my desire to upgrade my present lens.
I left with a new Tamron 18-270mm lens, and fully satisfied.
Thank you for always being available for those of us who enjoy photography!
Do not waste your time going here a complete insult to the photography industry! I took my camera to be repaired which was a lens barrel problem. They sent it out and once I received it back not only was the barrel not fixed but now the camera will not turn on at all! It did turn on before they got their hands on it! Secondly the owners brother and other coworker no nothing about their own stores merchandise that is even in their own display cases. I asked if they have Fuji cameras and they said no all the while two sat in the used display case! I honestly can not believe they have been in business as long as they have!
I went to take a passport size photo photographer taken me to dark room he has taken such a nasty black shadowed photo and which i didnt even recognise myself after seeing that picture.so people "BE CAREFUL'
The staffs are kinda friendly but they don't really match the price even though almost all gears are used.
Traded in some equipment and they were fair and reasonable. Found them to be personable, knowledgeable and a pleasure to work with.
I had been taking my films here for a while. The gentleman who I believe to run the place is very kind and helpful while the other two dudes are pretty unwelcoming and quite frankly rude. I once had to wait 6 weeks for my films to be developed while their lab tech was doing a commission. They told me it would be a while for my pics to be ready, which is fine, but they never gave me a set time frame. After ME having to call THEM multiple times for updates, the owner was the only one who gave me decent information on what was going on. When I finally got my scans back, there were multiple photos that weren’t scanned correctly leaving me with half scanned, unusable photos. Long story short I take my business elsewhere.
Super cool looking place, I had some connections to the place so I got some 60 year old film and it was a super cool experience!
This place is the BEST! I found my Nikon 300mm F 2.8 over in Kent Ohio, home of Kent State University - and it's what every camera store I remember as a youngster is.has the vintage aroma of a older camera store (in a good, nostalgic way). And has PERSONABLE employees who make shopping pleasant. Daniel was very nice and helpful and wasn't one of those salespeople who rush you along just to get your money. He even spent the time to divide the costs onto two different credit cards! He even allowed me to take the lens in front of the store to test out. This is the type of service that is long gone - until you find a place like this. I drove 4 hours to get buy this lens and he was completely honest about the condition of the lens (which was really nice!) - I can't say enough good things about this camera store. If you want knowledge BEHIND a sale, this is the place to go - Amazon is okay, but look for Campus Camera & Imaging behind the item because this is the kind of place REAL photographers want to support. God Bless Daniel and his employees of operating an honest store.
Awesome service! Dan ordered a lens for me and took the time to explain it's features. Also set me up with a great camera strap and even put it on! Very knowlegable.friendly.helpful.patient. My first visit but won't be my last!
I cannot believe it, that much rudeness from staffs, they waste one week of my time, and each time gave different excuse for taking passport picture.from first day, say "you cannot take picture, instead of wasting my times
