My appointment with Alison was absolutely wonderful. I wasn’t quite sure what I wanted, showed her a few things I liked and rolled with it. I am so happy with my hair color and cut and am already looking forward to my next appointment with Alison!

Stacey was awesome! She listened and executed perfectly. It was really fun to sit and chat with her too!

It’s been a long time since I’ve had a good cut and color. Savannah was professional and knowledgeable. She took the time at the beginning of the appointment to get to know me, my hair, my routine and my goals for the appointment. She explained what she thought was best to achieve what I wanted and gave suggestions to take it to the next level. My hair came out beyond what I could have imagined! I will be coming back and sending her referrals!

I am from out of town and was desperately needing a color and cut. Not knowing anything about any of the salons or stylists in the area, I searched Google and was drawn into Canvas Salon after reading their high ratings. I was able to get an appt with Savannah within 2 days after my call. She is a level 3 stylist and I was very impressed with her knowledge and skill. I showed her a picture of how I wanted my hair to look and I was very happy with the result. Savannah will be my "go to" person from now on whenever I come to town.

Alison is amazing! She listens to exactly what you want, offers suggestions based on her knowledge and experience, and I always leave feeling like a million bucks!

Savannah did an amazing job! She blended out the chunky highlights I had done at a different salon, she lightened my hair with the perfect tone after consulting with me, she added some brighter strands of blonde underneath as requested, and also gave the perfect layered cut that I requested. I’m very happy with the results and highly recommend Savannah!

I am new to the Columbus area, and I was looking for a salon to call home. I visited Canvas Salon and Skin Bar 3x for a haircut, coloring, and styling. I feel that it is fair to give a stylist 3 visits to understand what you are looking for but unfortunately, each experience left me quite dissatisfied.
The quality of the haircut itself was disappointing. After each visit I had to go home and trim up what she did not do. I have short hair and 2 out of the 3 times she did not clean up my neck. 2 out of 3 times she did not texturize as requested to remove bulk. I even called after one visit to get her to fix an issue, but it was days before she could get me in. At that point it's useless. She nailed the color on the first visit but the next too were way to golden for my liking. I specifically expressed that I wanted to stay away from golden tones. Not one time did she use a flat iron or curling iron on my hair. It was always a little product and blow dry. I had to go home after each visit and redo my hair. I definitely would not have gone anywhere public. When you are paying $200 you need to be styled.
Furthermore, the overall ambiance of the salon was lacking for the prices they charge. There were no extra services provided like a scalp massage or hot towels, and the cleanliness standards were not up to par. I believe a clean and well-maintained environment is essential for a positive salon experience.
I believe every customer deserves a pleasant and satisfying experience when visiting a hair salon, and I'm sad to say that my experience fell far short of that expectation. I hope that the salon takes this feedback constructively and makes the necessary improvements to provide better service to future customers.

Very much enjoyed getting my hair cut by Summer. I haven’t been this happy with a cut in a long time, if ever. I took off a good 10 inches and she handled it amazingly! Will definitely return!

I love it when I don’t feel like I need to share my life story with my stylist. Although it’s great to connect with others, sometimes I just want to relax and enjoy a salon experience without all my personal details being aired. Alison was focused, intuitive, friendly and did an amazing job! I left the salon feeling renewed and like my stylist listened and delivered on everything I asked for and even what I didn’t.

I really wanted this to be my hair salon. They do a good job, this is more the way I feel. It always feels like everybody who attends me is always in a rush. I know they’re busy but the three times I’ve been there I’ve felt that they just want to be done soon and that’s it. I’m not looking for a therapist or a best friend either lol, but the service feels very transactional which for some reason doesn’t make me feel very welcomed.

I booked a service but didn’t know it didn’t include blow dry (that’s fine that’s my fault), when I asked the stylist if it was possible to have the blow dry, she said “ I’m sorry, I don’t have time”

And I understand that. I think it’s more the way things are said, even more than the choices of words.

It’s just a bitter feeling and that might be just me. They do their job well. Just wanted to point that out for anybody who might feel that my comment feels too sentimental. They do a good job. I just personally don’t feel like going back there, I’ll just find another hair salon and that’s okay. Customers and businesses don’t always have to match, I’m not their target audience.

Alison does such a good job with my ten year old. Few people know what to do with longer boys hair and she does a great job.

I have had multiple sessions with Savannah, she is amazing and has always been kind, courteous, and professional along with having a happy and fun vibe about her. She is quick to fix any mistakes or something her clients don’t like. She’s very helpful and knowledgeable when it comes to hair. Everyone should book with her. She brings Canvas above and beyond the rest.
