Capricorn Inn, Wilmington OH

First time I had been there, the people where very friendly, server gave us lots of time to look at menu answered any questions we had. Serving portions were large. We ordered sides of onion rings and fried mushrooms came out in baskets overflowing. There were 3 of us and we couldn't eat everything. Nothing is prepared in advance so the food was hot and fresh. It's nothing fancy but it is clean and good. Looking forward to going back again.

First time being back in years, since we had moved.
Food was great.prices were reasonable.portion size was good. The only thing missing was music to make it a fun atmosphere like it was years ago.

Great food and wonderful service. If you like small local restaurants you have to try it. Hint go hungry the portions are huge too!

The best hamburger my wife and I have had in a long time. The burgers was bigger than the bun and they did not skimp on the tomatoes, lettuce or the cheese. The fries where cook to the way I like them crispy.

I had the Rod's Burger and Fries. The burger was big, juicy and had a great flavor. The fries were good. The prices seemed a little high but the portion was big. I'd go back.

The food is always hot and fresh service is always friendly it's a family friendly environment been eating here since I was a young child

Food was as amazing as it always was, but, the atmosphere isn't as welcoming and relaxed as it used to be. Back when I was growing up, you'd walk in and music was playing, Rod himself would be at the grill belting out whatever was on the oldies channel and there was a line for the pool tables. Now it feels very sterile, unwelcoming and the prices are pretty steep. This will most likely be our last trip out there.

My husband came here years ago and always bragged about how good their food is. While camping at the state park we went there to eat, twice. Absolutely some of the best food I've had in years. 5

We got seated right away. The portions were big. I would highly recommend the double decker ham and cheese.

The food and service is always amazing here. If you have a large party please call ahead. Heads up ask about how large the large salad is before ordering but would definitely recommend the double Rod burger or a large salad.

As always the food is great & the portions are super. We always make it a point to stop & eat whenever we are in town. I highly recommend the Capricorn Inn as a place to eat or have a banquet.

Placed a carry out order on a Friday evening and went in to get my food that wasn't quite ready yet so I waited inside and watched them cook food WITHOUT any gloves on. Servers were touching people's food too. Absolutely disgusting. If the Health Department were to walk in on them they would be shut down. They also charge way too much for what you get. Only a couple of the sandwiches come with a side and the sides start at $4.99. You can go to a nice steakhouse for what they charge here. Won't be coming back and can't recommend.

Small laid back place with great food, large portions and fair prices. The fried pickles, Rod burger, and cinnamon role were awesome! We will be back.

I'm very pleased to report that under new ownership Rod's Capricorn Inn has improved. Not the food or service. They both have always been and remain outstanding. The big improvement? They now take credit cards!

We drive all over the place for a good burger and Rod’s is one of the best. You get a ton of food for the money and it’s pretty handy that they now take credit cards. Don’t forget to check if they have any cinnamon rolls left before you leave. They are awesome and sell out quickly!

Skip it! Overpriced. 6.99 for a burger. 4.99 for a side of fries. 6.99 for a small portion of pickle chips.sauce extra. They cook one table at a time and therefore "don't do appetizers" (according to our server). It also delays the food reaching your table. No kids activities or friendly menu. Most places will send out kids food first as they take longer to eat and can get cranky. (Avg kids meal 5.99- no milk or juice, Pepsi products only) This place took 45 minutes to get their kids meals out to the table. Once again, kids nuggets, no sauce offered. Was given an empty mustard bottle. Bun on my burger was ICE COLD. Atmosphere less than desirable.

When ready to leave, be prepared to pay extra of paying with a card. CASH ONLY is the preferred method.

Both ladies and men's had broken trashcan, no hot water and the men's sink did not drain.

Will not be returning and cannot recommend.

Good food, big portions. Not fancy, kinda crowded at busy times, be patient, they're always busy because it's very good so it takes awhile to get waited on. Took us about an hour to get food. The larger back area is really cold in winter. The front area is cold due to the door opening a lot. The food is great. I will definitely take out in winter next time. Difficult to find a parking spot during busy times.so a lot of negative points but the food is really good and plentiful. Dress warm, take some cards or a book, prepare for a wait. Sweet potato fries are the best!
