Amazing experience loved every second! Underground was very well made, David the owner does amazing work love it!

This is my 3rd Escape Room, and this one was the best by far! We were greeted by one of the owners and had a fantastic experience. Top notch facility and fun!

We were looking for something fun to do as a family for our sons 24 bday and with our youngest son before he goes on deployment to the Middle East. Captivating Worlds was perfect. We had so much fun. Our middle son is autistic and even he loved it. He keeps asking when we can do it again. Everyone involved was so friendly and accommodating. They went our of their way to help us have an awesome family night out. We will absolutely be back!

Captivating World is my absolute favorite escape room company in Columbus. The rooms are so immersive and well put together. I love that it’s family owned and the first room my friends and I did (Deep Underground) our game master was David, which was super cool because he built them all himself! The second one we did (The Sins of Dr Faustus) was for my birthday and they did a little something special that was super cool! We plan to do all of them, and can’t wait for the new rooms that they put out! It’s too bad you can’t redo rooms, because this would be the only escape room I would ever come to! I have recommended them to so many people since our first time. Thank you Mary and David, keep up the amazing work!

Amazing! This was our second time and room at Captivating Worlds and I can’t wait to go back and do another. The owners are very friendly and truly care about the rooms they create. It’s evident that they are passionate about their business and their customers. Second to none escape room experience! Check them out!

I've done over 100 escape rooms, and this one is definitely top five (Dr. Faustus). The set design is amazing, the lights and audio add to the immersion, and the while it was quite difficult with only two players, the puzzles were unique and challenging. Unfortunately we were just passing through, otherwise we would have done all of their rooms!

1st time ever in an escape room, and it was so much fun! Went with family, some experienced, some first timers, and we had a blast! I will definitely be back to to do the other rooms.

I love, love, love this place! The rooms are sooo cool and fun! I love the challenges, puzzles, interaction, and storyline of all of these rooms! The personal/owners are very friendly and engaging. HIGHLY recommend! Other escape rooms will seem blah in comparison!

The experience of The Underground Room was so immersive and exciting! The staff was awesome and our game master, Tate, was amazing! We’ll definitely be visiting again to try some of the other rooms.

Our family had a blast doing The Barnyard Winds experience! All of the staff were super-friendly and helpful. I would highly recommend Captivating Worlds for a fun, family outing.

Highly immersive escape rooms with a lot of really cool tech. Each room has a vastly different theme and all are beautifully designed. Our favorite was definitely Doctor Faustus, but you can't go wrong with any of them. Chances are you'll end up playing all of them just like we did!

We’ve done a lot of escape rooms, and these were top notch! We’ve now done 2 of the 4 scenarios and both so far (Faustus and Farm) were super fun! Will be back to do the last 2 scenarios soon

We had a great experience at Captivating Worlds! It was the first escape room for a few of us, and it exceeded expectations. We escaped from “Welcome to the Machine” and I was impressed with each of the tasks we had to perform and how technical the room was in general. We made it out with just a few minutes to spare - I think the timing and amount of tasks was the perfect challenge. We live in the area and will definitely be back!

If you want to be transported to another time and place in peril with only your wits to save you, captivating worlds will surely immerse you in a fantastical environment that comes from the unmatched creative mind of owner David. You can't go wrong with any rooms here and each one takes you on a different and unique journey! This is a do not miss experience, but is aimed more towards escape artists with a little experience. If you are new, enjoy the atmosphere and don't worry if don't escape they are quite challenging rooms (but still totally logical)!

My husband and I came here for a date night and we had so much fun. The first thing we love about Captivating Worlds is that we were able to book a room to do with just the two of us without having to buy more than our two tickets. When we got there, the staff were super friendly (we even got to meet and talk to the owner/creator of the rooms!). The experience that we did was super immersive and the technology was amazing. The level of attention to details during our experience kind of reminded me of being at Disney World. The puzzles were really fun to figure out, too. We are super excited to return and do another room!

Most immersive and best escape room I have ever done. Did Deep Underground with a team of 4, and we've all done quite a few escape rooms. It was still difficult for us but doable with a couple of small hints from the game master. Speaking of the game master, Mary was great, very helpful and personable. She along with her husband are the owners and I can tell it's a labor of love for them.
For the room itself, the set design was on a completely different level than any other room I have been to in Columbus. This is not a dig at other rooms, they are still very good, but this one is on another scale. The puzzles were also good and not just combo locks like you often see, although there were still a good number. There were many different kinds of puzzles and a couple that really fit the theme well and used different skills than I have used before. Well done David and Mary!

We visited Captivating Worlds on Friday 12/15 - and we were actually able to book same day, which was awesome and surprising because this place is so next level, they should be booked up all day every day. To get to the point: if you’re considering escape rooms in Columbus, hands down you need to book here! This is the place, and the experience and attention to detail is the best in Columbus and maybe even in Ohio. I’ve done several other escape rooms at other venues in Ohio, and this is uniquely the best. (Reddit also confirms this).

We did their hallmark room, Dr. Faustus, and our game master was the founder, David. At no other escape room has the designer and founder been there, let alone been our host! What a special experience. You can tell that David and his wife have thought about every detail for their escape rooms - from the decor and set, and even with the story line. Everything tied together in a poetic way, like we were living in the story. Also, unlike other escape rooms, David created / implemented technology that is responsive to our actions. (To compare, other escape rooms have someone in a control room triggering things to happen. Here all the technology actually responded based on our actions. How cool!).

The location itself is very clean and organized, the communication when you arrive is top notch. They even took time at the beginning to ask about our group’s experience with escape rooms. We had some people with us where it was their first time ever, and someone who had done it only once before, so we had a wide range of experience. At the end, David also came into the room and chatted more with us about their business and you can tell there is so much love put into these escape rooms. You will be so glad you did your booking here!

Always such a great experience. The staff is friendly and the rooms are so detailed! I've done Dr. Faustus and Deep Underground so far, but am looking forward to doing them all!

Second time coming, and we had a great time! This is the experience you are looking for; we have been to escape rooms all over the country, and this is the best one out there. Truly immersive.
