I cannot express the relief of knowing that my mom-in-law is cared for with love. Care*Staff@Home comes each morning and makes sure things go smoothly as she starts out her day. They even make her breakfast and do light cleaning. Not only does it help her out, it helps me out as I juggle work and caring for her in other areas. I also feel like I can trust the workers who come to her home, which makes me feel extra fortunate. Rick, the owner, calls and checks in with me and brings anything to my attention that seems to be a concern. Open communication between loved ones and caregivers is so important to catch those small things that can be missed and lead to bigger issues the elder loved one. I highly recommend Care*Staff@Home.

Absolutely great service, and my aide, Lucie, is the best! I have GBS, and you have really gone the extra mile to make me feel safe being at home! I would recommend to others.

I have worked for care *staff @home for a few months now as assistant manager in the office and working with a few clients out of the office and i like it. Rick has been great in working with schedule needs and conflicts, He's been a nice and understanding boss on some personal things that came up after being hired and has taken the time to explain and show me things i didnt know on the office side of things. This has been a good experience so far. I encourage anyone who loves working with people and making a difference to apply.

Rick Shoemaker is the worst possible person to be in charge of the elderly in any capacity. Ask anyone Who has ever had the displeasure and traumatic experience of working for him

*I worked for Home Instead until you fired me for giving an employee their paycheck. No animosity, simply stating facts. Those I know who have had the displeasure of knowing you, feel the same.

Please speak to any one previous employee of this company, they will all give you a similar horror story. The owner, Rick Shoemaker is known in the area, and not for good reason. I was hired on as the GM in July, I had never worked in the DD field but was excited to start! During my first week, I watched three employees quit on the spot and thought “how unprofessional”. Looking back, that should have been my warning, along with the actual warnings from current caregivers and the two women who worked in the office before me. I watched Rick tower over and scream in Caregivers faces, including young women. I listened to him say horrible things when they left, personal information about their families, relationships, etc. Employees came in every payday questioning why they were not paid completely, constant pay shortages after caregivers were forced to work huge amounts of overtime due to not being able to keep any employees. I watched him refuse Clients own money to them. Among many other legal things that I will not share, that are being dealt with. When I left the company, my last check was deduced to minimum wages. Mind you, I was working fourty hours weekly in the office and on top of that doing overnight at clients homes and evening shift due to the lack of employees. Please do not work for this company. Do not allow yourself to be treated this way. I hope one day Rick will look internally and realize how awful he is to people and how carelessly he runs a business that is there to CARE for individuals. This man has no business being in this type of work. All he can do now, is pray for forgiveness and do better in the future.
