21CarMax made my experience very quick and easy, wouldve gave 5 stars but Salesman ran my credit after i was already approved due to middle name being being on drivers license which was a pain, another star because he said i only was allowed a 25 minute test drive, other than those 2 things i wouldve loved to have given 5 stars.
Gave me the most money for my car that I could expect and the staff were extremely friendly and didn't apply pressure on customers as most places do.
I’ve purchased all my vehicles with Carmax and have had a great experience with my brother-in-law. Customer service is great also, love the Easton location
Customer Service was exceptional. Financing went smoothly. They helped me find a car within my budget, within my mileage range without any of the hassle.
I WISH I could afford a really nice car. Service was EXCELLENT. Wish I could remember the name of the cute young lady that helped us! So nice and helpful.

Best thing ever is you can complete everything online application from financing to trading your vehicle in and getting it appraised online They also provide Great Customer Service
When I financed with CarMax 2 years ago, I must say the attendant was super kind and knowledgeable and made the process easy. But two years later, I had an accident and my insurance company basically pays off the car and the CarMax lenders can’t waive 1700 balance off of a 19’000 dollar balance. The conversation I had was disheartening and speaks to the level of loyalty the lenders at CarMax have. It shouldn’t be that hard. Lenders try to act like they’re doing you a favor and they’re not. My credit is excellent and the apr was still 10.something. Then they say I needed gap insurance when I was not asked to put gap insurance and of course conveniently. Online it says CarMax provides Gap Insurance but the lenders say you had to pay for it and they gave you the option. I was not given the option and I did ask. CarMax purchase is always easy and I appreciate that part, but when you’re paying loyally every month and then suddenly have an accident, guess who doesn’t care? CarMax. I told the lenders I wanted to finance a second car with them so naturally you can roll over fees or waive them, and they were adamant they did not care and that was not their problem. But if you skip a payment, guess who’s on your back? Loyalty is of no concern to CarMax lenders so if you have the option to lend with someone else, do it. They are not worth it. CarMax I love y’all, and I know it’s not the sales people’s issue, but corporate lending, customers deserve more and they deserve better. We really do.
Chad did a great job. It was the easiest car buying experience. I recommend going to Carmax for buying a car.
I drove to Columbus from Canton Ohio to purchase the vehicle. After 4 hours of process and completion of deal they report a lean on my trade. Even after the lending company reported loan paid of in July 2017 they would not close the deal. Managers cannot make decisions.
So I bought my car in April. It’s now December and the service shop I’ve used for years is saying that I need potentially a new engine. CarMax service failed to properly schedule me an appt.delaying the work being performed in a proper time. I purchased the extended service plan warranty
Let's just say they are not all what they are wrapped up to be. They have my vehicle in to work on it and ended up putting a dent on the door they were working on my new vehicle and refused to fix it. Customers think twice about

After speaking with several people I been told they would have righted their wrong if I’d been another race (read between the lines).
Currently pursuing other avenues towards justice! Customer support team is a real joke! Forgive me I’m disappointed and angry for their unwillingness to accept responsibility for selling me a defective car, however after reading other reviews I realize it’s happened to others. One customer purchased her car in April as well and now found out she needs a new engine.
Please take your car to a mechanic or a detailed inspection, have them up it up on the rack and look under the car as well prior to signing any documents.
The statement used in advertising just didn’t apply to me and her. You too can be a victim from

The way car buying should be.
Just at three months I purchased my dream car and while driving I almost lost my life. The back tires separated the rod snapped into. I tried contact the GM to inform him of my situation. The car had almost 9K miles it’s now just over 10k I drive it to work 4 minutes from my job. I’m saddened that the blame has been sifted on me. The car had a prior accident, according to Carfax. I put my faith and trust in Carmax since it’s reputation has been pleasing. I was told it was under warranty now I’m fighting with Mercedes Benz to repair it. The tech at Mercedes Benz even suggested I lie to my insurance company to have it repaired. I hope this ends with me as happy as I was when I drove off Carmax lot. I’ll follow the results. Stay turned.
Update: Customer beware! !
The insurance company issued me a check and then canceled it stating, ”Preexisting condition! I’m overwhelmed with sorrow and grief. A Carmax rep reached out to me at the beginning of this post with empathy however, 24 hrs passed /nothing.

My carmax journey was not easy.things out of Easton's control happened. That being said salesmen Tom and Brian as well as manager Shawn were present, responsive, went out of their way to fix the problems. Fantastic experience overall mostly due to these three carmax reps. Thank you!
I wouldn't even give this place 1 star. They let me leave there with only half of my brakes fixed! CarMax of Dayton had to fix the front brakes!
Excellent assistance in purchasing a vehicle. Everyone was very helpful and cared about our health, during our visit. Very good price and helping choose the best vehicle. We recommend anyone looking for a used car.
I purchased a beautiful cherry red Jeep Compass. I absolutely loved it! Unfortunately, I didn't need to go anywhere until Monday for work. On the highway the steering wheel DID NOT control the car 100%. I would shift left/right at times and it would continue straight! Needless to say, I was scared for my life in tears! I thought I did something wrong until it did it again after work. I took it straight back to them! Sadly, there was NO show of concern, remorse, nor sympathy in the service department that I walked away from them! One of the salesmen asked my concern and immediately was appalled and took me to look at other vehicles, test drive each one, we investigated each cars history, carfax, and ratings until I was there after closing! I was extremely exhausted but I left HAPPY and SATISFIED and felt that atleast HE was genuinely concerned! Thanks Justin!
I’ve just experience the worse car experience ever. Carmax tried to fix my car and it didn’t work. I had to have the same thing done again and they blamed me for not bringing it back to them to mess up again. When I did bring it back to them they didn’t even know what the problem was and told me my car was okay and my battery only needed to be charged. Bigger problems for sure. Now I have to take my car to the original Nissan since I told them it’s a problem more than my battery being charged. No stars here.
Low offer on car I wanted to sell. Stop forgot I was waiting in the waiting room and made me wait 45 minutes for no reason.
First off, let me say the employees at Carmax made me feel very welcomed the minute I walked in! After hearing NO all day about getting the car I wanted, they were able to work with me and I GOT MY DREAM CAR A 2013 CAMAROOOOOO. Our customer representative even went to the other location to go pick it up for my bday. If it wasnt for them and their wonderful service, I wouldnt be able to drive what I am driving today. Thank you so much Carmax team!
