The car broke down on my way home!
Returned the car September 8th it’s now September 26th and they STILL have not returned my 2000 dollar deposit. The confirmed that it’s not even in processing to me! The also told the main customer service line to not transfer my calls to the store because they currently don’t know what to do or how to give me back my money!

The lot was scattered and there was no visible signage directing where folks who are selling their car should go. I parked in front in an unmarked space. I cant recall seeing handicap parking paint for that matter. A gentleman greeted me at the door and showed great salesmanship during our brief conversation. I made my way to back and had to engage with 3-4 members of staff who were suddenly and conveniently bogged down with tasks. I believe it was a new worker who ended up starting the process. A tech took the keys immediately and didn’t respond when I mentioned the car was out front. He returned less than 5 mins.later and I preceded to wait for 1.5 hours. I think one person and a tech should handle customers individually. 3 people were doing paperwork but nobody told me how long I would be waiting. Oh yeah, and a bank draft check is tacky and non-cashable. Conveniently, Carmax doesn’t advertise the fact the payment is deposit only. Overall cheap experience.

Delton made the car buying process so easy. From the moment we walked in the door, to finish. He explained everything thoroughly. There were no pushy sales tactics. Then Bernard and the team at express checkout were great as well. Highly recommend! Will definitely be back!

CarMax REALLY stands behind their product. They sold us a car that had dry rotted tires. Our mechanic caught it. CarMax replaced the tires, and gave us a loaner to drive while we were waiting for the tires to come in. All for free. The service manager even opened an investigation to find out how it was missed. I don’t expect the places I purchase from to be perfect. I do expect them to have integrity, and they do. We buy our next car from CarMax.

Simply the best experience in car sales.
A NO HAGGLE approach to buying a car.
I have purchased from them on 2 other occasions, although not this time but as soon as I get ready for another car I will go back!

Me and my fiance had had went online for the CarMax in Cincinnati Ohio but with the phone numbers they have it's linked to different areas and different states the customer service rep that got a hold of us is a person that is from Georgia who did our financing application yesterday which is August 28th of 2023 and we basically found out that anything that we did yesterday was not true it was falsified by the representative in Georgia who told us that any down payment is a down payment for CarMax so when we told her we can only put $1,000 down she had agreed to that and got us going with the financing we spent over 3 hours with her on the phone yesterday and come to find out today none of that information was correct it was all falsified and their calls are recorded so everything that she said to us was not true it was all a lie none of it was true none of it was real it was all done just by her so when I found out today that once we would get approved from CarMax they would send us an email to sign the documents and to send it back over to them with our proof of insurance our proof of residency and our proof of our income when we actually heard that we were perplexed by what was being said to us so they said they had to go back and resubmit it so when they resubmitted the application that takes our credit score down again not once not twice not three not four but five to six different times did CarMax run our credit just to see if we could get approved now all the sudden we were supposed to get a call back today from them because they were going to listen to all the recorded calls at that lady from Georgia had said anything that was said on there was a bold-faced lie now we're out of a car we don't have one my fiance could end up losing her job all because of your company you should be ashamed of yourself and since you did not answer me back today we will be taking this to court we don't want to do that so if you want to fix this then lets settle this very serious problem we have because falsifying documents from our government information such as our ssi and ssdi income and our identification information my drivers license and my fiance's state ID and my fiance's employment income THEN NOT SENDING US THE PROPER documents to sign to finalize the deal with the car this is a very serious problem we are very serious about this we are not joking at all

Unbelievable as far as selling my vehicle. Received an online quote by using VIN. No hassle and exactly money that was quoted.

I spoke with another customer while waiting and he bought a vehicle. He said, it’s never been so easy.

Very pleased and will most likely do business in the future and would recommend.

Everything was simple and straight forward. We had an internet offer on our car, and knew that could change after inspection. It did change, but the great thing is they gave us more. They could have left it as is and not said anything, but they were honest and increased the value. Great Experience!

Went with the Mister to buy a car today and the salesman, Brian, was so patient and kind with him. His 1st car buying experience didn't go this smoothly, so it was refreshing to see the team make sure he was comfortable and they were kind and he left with a car that would be a benefit to him NOT just eye candy. If you ever read this, thanks fellas!

CarMax in Carmel, IN was a terrible experience. No communication and subpar customer service. The entire deal was rushed. We spent 3 hours the day before setting up for express pickup. Got there and nothing was ready. As a manager myself, I have been in those situations. You try to make it right but that wasn’t the case at their store. On top of that the vehicle has several issues. We decided to trade the vehicle at the Forest Park, Cincinnati location. It was a much better experience and our sales rep, Jeremy was excellent. He really turned a bad experience into a great one. Really appreciate his hard work and true salesmanship. The manager was excellent as well, communication was their top priority which we appreciated.

Don greeted me and was very helpful. Drew was great and tried to make everything right. The windshield repair was not as good as expected and Carmax said they would have a new windshield put in which is already happening (less than 24 hours later)! My only item for "needs improvement" is the update screen in the waiting area - or to start the service sooner after arrival. An hour after I arrived and expected the work to be done, it only said "Arrived" - no indication the work had started. Others in the service department tried to help me get an update. The vehicle ready about 25 minutes later.

Why go to many many dealers, when you can go to one place and drive all different kinds of vehicles! It was no pressure for sales, and our overall experience was a terrific one! We definitely recommend Carmax!

The process was super smooth with some experienced and supportive staff, the time from me handing over the car to the team till the check in my hand was surprisingly less than 40 minutes:)
