This is an excellent place. My husband was in TCU for short term rehab. Nursing staff, CNA, s, Therapists were wonderful. I would also commend housekeeping. You can tell they take pride in maintaining cleanliness. Daily visits to bathrooms and pt rooms. Floor constantly mopped and trash emptied. Staff very attentive to any concerns and took time to review irders and records.
If the need should arise again we will definitely be back here!

This is a very nice place and I believe she is receiving very high quality care. I would recommend this facility to any family needing this type of care for a loved elderly member of their family.

They take very good care of my Mom. The staff is kind and attentive, and provide many activities to enrich the lives of the residents. The facilities are clean and comfortable.

Carriage Inn of Steubenville is a wonderful facility we recently utilized for skilled care. The staff is very accommodating and friendly. Management is very knowledgeable and has helped us every step of the way with any question we had. The administrator of the facility was readily available upon admission and during the entire stay, to help in any way she could. She made things much easier on the family. I would highly recommend this facility.

My husband was in the TCU at Carriage Inn for nearly 3 weeks. His room was huge & pleasant. The visiting hours were extremely generous. (7: 00 am - (9: 00 pm)
The nursing staff was overwhelmingly helpful, kind, caring, patient with him. His medications were always given on time, especially his pain medication. The housekeepers took the time to say “how are you today” and provide a friendly comment or two. They did a thorough job of keeping the room clean, trash emptied, floors mopped. The OT & PT people were especially helpful & careful not to inflict additional pain on my husband’s injuries. He really appreciated their upbuilding comments on how he was doing. They also came at a time that was convenient for him. If he was too sleepy, they would come back later. The nursing staff checked on him frequently to make sure his needs were met. When there was a change in his condition, it was nice to know that they had immediate & direct communication with a physician for orders. When he called for help, they came within 60 seconds.
We gave this facility a 5-star. No one wants to be away from home but this is the next best place to be.
One thing that could be improved on was the temperature of the food, it was rarely warm.

The Staff here are amazing! They cared for a family member who needed rehab to be able to come home.
The Nurses, Aides, Occuppational, and Physical Therapists were so helpful and caring. I especially have to Thank and say that Vicki the resident Social Worker is an Angel. She does her job so well and goes above and beyond to help. It was much appreciated.   Jaime, you run an incredible facility here, you all deserve a round of applause.

My dad was here for about 2 weeks after a lengthy covid battle. First off, my dad was transferred out of a local hospital in Michigan to Ohio because no hospitals in Michigan would take a "hospital to hospital transfer" so we were told. He was vented in Michigan and transfered to a hospital in Ohiofor a month and a half, an LTAC facility in WV for a few weeks then back to Carriage Inn in Stubenville OH for skilled nursing. I have worked in Skilled Nursing for 13 years and have never seen things as poorly conducted as they were here. Upon admission, we were given a "tentative" release date. Mind you he spent a total of 108 days between ICU, Accute Care, and finially skilled nursing, so given the length of time he had spent already I knew the Insuarnce company was going to give him a shorter stay for rehabilitation. The CENA/Nursing staff was very friendly, and about as helpful as they could be. I was visiting him the day before he left and the day of D/C and he had his call light on for at least 10 minutes multiple times in that time before someone answered it. The house keeper emptied his urinal for him one of the times while we were there. PT had him using a brace for drop foot and I had asked if his Insurance would cover one, PT told me to talk to the social worker and the social worker didn't know either. Ive worked in the medical feild long enough to know that the social worker could have found that information out so we would have had one for him when he left. The social worker was also supposed to send orders from the Doctor in Ohio after we left. We were told they were sent the evening he was D/C'd and that they would send them again. Still none were sent, all that was recieved was a face sheet, so I had to have my dad's primary doctor send orders for him to receive home care, PT/OT and a visiting nurse. He was not sent home with any exercises from PT, he was never transfered in the facility with a gaitbelt, nor was there one in his room. We had a 6 hour drive with him back to Michigan, he required oxygen for that ride and it wasnt ordered until the day of discharge.we had to wait until it was dropped off at 2: 30pm when his discharge date didn't change at all since he was admitted when we were given a "tentative" date. I feel all of this could have went alot smoother than it did if the social worker had stepped up her game. I was very disappointed all around with the way things were handled. I wouldnt suggest anyone send their loved one here.

My father recently had a series of strokes that placed in him in the TCU unit at Carriage Inn. The treatment he received helped him tremendously. They also provided multiple services such as helping to locate equipment and in home services after discharge. Everyone was wonderful to him and we are very happy with the care he received.

Bad work environment short staffed bad hours.
Administrator does not support her staff.

UPDATE TO YOUR REPLY: Makes no sense to speak to Miss Herald she didn't listen the first time.
Well just not make recommendations for your business.

My DAD HAD bedsores from them not turning him. Also they did nothing about his right arm. My dad had two major strokes. He fractured a bone in his right leg when he fell. Okay they had that wrapped. But.his right arm was extremely swollen amd majorly sore to touch to the point dad would scream. Okay they just finally co firmed his arm was fractured. Also he had 3 open bedsores and several that had healed. Come on people. You can do better than that. At this point I would not even send my dog to Carriage Inn.
