Carsonie's Stromboli & Pizza reviews
19Went here on the afternoon of 8/21. There was ONE person in the restaurant besides the bartender/server if you want to call her that. She was BRUTALLY bad. Her people skills were nonexistent. Considering we were the only ones there, she could have at least made an attempt to make our visit pleasant. She never checked on us. Never refilled my water or my mom's drink. My mom asked for butter for her roll, which should have automatically been brought out with the food/rolls. She brought her one little little packet. The roll is not tiny. The rolls were cold, like they had been in a fridge. The "server" checked on us once. Just brutal. My chicken parmesan was good, but the spaghetti noodles with the cheese sauce was so bland I couldn't taste anything but he spaghetti. And the noodles were clumped together like they had been sitting, waiting to be served or not properly stirred during cooking. How do you mess that up with NO CUSTOMERS IN THE RESTAURANT? My mom said her spaghetti was average. Shameful. Moretti's, down the street, is INFINITELY better than this place.
Love coming here for the stromboli and salads! They have a great atmosphere - we enjoy sitting on their patio or inside at the bar whenever we come.
First timer. I always order spaghetti and meatballs the first time. Meatballs soggy and mealey. Pasta overcooked. Sauce meh.
Your frys that are loaded for 8.99$ are to much! They should be $5. There wasn't nothing on them! When you get a meal you should get a toss salad with your meal for free! Waitress was slow! There were only 3 tables she was working! I wont be back.
I just bought a calazone from Carsonie's as I do a lot. It is now in a much smaller container, half the cheese and now half the size, but the same price, $10.99. I will not buy my calazone from Carsonie's anymore. I see Deweys has one for $8.95 and the size that Carsonies use to be. Disappointed!
Spinach dip was way too salty and bread was old/stale. Pizza was NOT good. Meatball sub had hardly any sauce.
Terrible cocktails, food was nothing but cheese and red sauce. Service was lost, very disappointed.
Food's good. Liiittle pricey. Not pleased to have to pay separately for a side salad when you order an entree.
I ate a delicious late-afternoon meal recently [1-4-2020] at Carsonie's Stromboli and Pizza Kitchen at 1725 W. Lane Ave.
I had studied the menu on-line before arriving and had very much wanted to order Stromboli [Original] [stuffed with pepperoni, sausage, mozzarella and provolone cheese and served with a side of marinara].
However, the on-line menu had warned, at the top of the "From the Oven" section, "since our Stromboli and pizza start from scratch, please allow up to 30-45 minutes for these items (see server for accurate quote while ordering). "
If the wait would be too long, I had already decided, I would order, instead, in the "Grandma's Hoagies" section of the menu, "The Italian Stallion" [savory ham, salami, and capicola ham, topped with lettuce, tomatoes, onion, banana peppers, provolone cheese and balsamic dressing.
My server told me, while ordering, that the wait for Stromboli right then would be approximately 20 minutes so I ordered Stromboli. I guess that "The Italian Stallion" will have to wait for a future visit.
My server then told me that the 30-to-45-minute variable wait time varies depending on how many other ovens are in use at the time when the order is placed.
If you are looking for a delicious Italian meal in a restaurant that has a great atmosphere, I strongly recommend Carsonie's Stromboli and Pizza Kitchen at 1725 W. Lane Ave.
Good ol' classic Italian restaurant. I primarily go for the stromboli but everything else has been good too.
Great stromboli! Great pizza! Comfortable place for family dining. Convenient parking and attractive setting.
Great pizza and awesome stromboli! Takes a while to get food since it's made fresh, but worth the wait!
Hosted a graduation event for 35 people and everything was excellent. Food, service, ambient, every single aspect was impeccable. Strombolis and meatball sliders were the best ones I have ever had.
This is 5-star restaurant in every category
The stromboli tonight was 1 of the best we've had. Appreciate the friendly professional staff who are attentive and friendly. Would recommend this eatery at every opportunity.
Food was only so so - I guess I remembered it being better & the drink was at the end so taste was bad so asked for a new beverage but she forgot & I had to go ask for it as the were to busy standing around talking to each other.
Love the stromboli here. It's so good. I'm sure other menu items are too but every time I come I end up choosing my favorite
Stromboli was over cooked, salad lettuce was not fresh. Staff member bussing tables was wearing an inappropriate t shirt.
What a pleasant surprise! Considering I didn't exactly want to eat Italian, I'm greatful my companion made the suggestion) The service was great are server was knowledgeable of the menu, food was delicious! And I appreciate a good patio
They let you stand there for 10 minutes before they put the order in. Then as they don’t make eye contact with you or speak to you when they find out the order will be late. Terrible communication in the kitchen.
