Carter Lumber, Solon OH

I designed and ordered a kraftmade kitchen from Carter this year. I found that my rep made changes to my plans on numerus occasions without sending me any updated designs, it's hard to get in touch with my rep, he convinced me away from making some choices that I was hoping for, which I now regret, and beyond that, the kraftmade cabinets have a really low quality paint job, and they only agreed to replace half of them.

Sales person over estimated materials for a deck and refused to accept the return of unused and unopened material. For example, estimated 7 cedar lattice for a deck and only 2 were required. I have over $600 in unused material that cannot be returned I will never patronize this store again. I asked up front when ordering material if excess material can be returned and was told "Yes".

Tried to purchase cabinets from CARTER Lumber.the guy that refered me to this Chrissy Carnahan. His name was Neil must of been a friend or family member because he never even got back to me about a plaster job. So this chrissy came out and measured my kitchen and gave me two kitchen options, never answered my emails or text. Finally she got back to me and was the rudest sales person basically telling me to go to cabinets to go not wanting to help me at all. I wanted to pay for half and was not wanting me to buy my cabinets from Carter lumber. Now they can keep there cabinets no respect for a customer and thats know way to do buisness.

Service staff over the phone were rude and impolite. The gentleman actually hung up on me. Need to understand who the customer is and that without them they don’t have a job

Literally the rudest people ever lol, was gonna get wood here but after the way I was spoken to by 2 employees, Im good.

Very convenient lumber yard located in Solon. They have a wide variety of wood and they can provide a lot of advice.

A solid lumber distribution store that focuses on contractors and the construction industry. Home owners can find excellent cedar and quality wood products. I appreciate the tongue & groove porch floor that comes already primed. Loading a small truck or van can be a challenge as the yard focuses on filling larger orders, but the lumber yard personnel are helpful enough.
