Casa Nueva is a literal gem.

First off, this is a no tip establishment, the prices are inclusive.

Everything is prepared with thought and the time it takes to truly make something right. This food has depth, it has flavor galore and it is prepared with care and glorious presentation. To add the cherry on top, they use local produce and meats which helps the local economy and also gives their food an advantage amongst the competition when it comes to freshness and quality.

We got - burrito (full), a chimichanga (full), chips and salsa and a salad with the blueberry vinaigrette *incredible*. Our total was $44. You may initially feel like it’s expensive but I cannot tell you how large these things are. I’m a big eater and I couldn’t finish it all, a half size probably would have done me right and those are around $7.50 instead of $15. I, however, now have lunch for tomorrow, they re-heat well.

A couple of added bonuses about this establishment is that their bartenders actually understand how to make drinks even if they’re not on the menu, which is a great drink menu by the way. They often have live performances by musical artists and the walls are decorated with paintings that you can actually buy from local artists. SO COOL!

The entire vibe of this establishment makes you feel like it’s been here for 100 years and that they actually love what they do. You can’t help but relax when you’re here.

A current and hopefully temporary setback is their dining hours. Due to staffing, the dining room is only open Thursday - 4-8pm, Friday - 4-9pm, Saturday - 9am-9pm and Sunday 9am-3pm and you have to call their number for availability because the door to the dining room is and will remain locked. We called when we walked up, however, and were able to get right in for two with no wait!

To remedy this situation they are actually available and OPEN EVERY DAY for contactless delivery, carry-out and curbside from 11am-8pm. So you can get this amazing food anyway!

Art all around the place for sale, and just a great vibe. Can't wait to come back when the live music is back!

Outstanding and creative food / drinks served up by outstanding and creative humans. Live music and art openings and a lovely space taboot. We love eating and drinking and playing music here. It’s just one of my favorite places of all time. Five very big gold stars.

This place is truly a gem. The food is absolutely phenomenal and so fresh that it has us coming back again and again. It's literally so crave-worthy that we go out of our way to eat here! Very vegetarian friendly as well.

Casa Nueva is my favorite restaurant in the world. I absolutely adore their food and think about it on a regular basis. I went to OU but live out of state at this time. I cannot recommend the Casa Burrito highly enough. It is my favorite thing to eat. At times, their can be a bit of a wait, but I promise that it is worth it. Eat here if you can! Oh! And absolutely drink one of their margaritas.

Such interesting oils, earrings, clothes & so many other things! We had so much fun in here We found a set of quality necklaces at great prices I enjoyed looking at their unique earrings!

Great venue with great beer choices! Food is great but the service is lacking.maybe if they allowed tipping the wait staff would be somewhat attentive. We've gone entire meals without seeing the waiter again, we had to flag him down just to get the check.

One of my usual stops when I head through Athens country. The place is employee-owned, so you can feel good about the labor practices. The menu is different—sort of an Americanized fresh eats from south of the border deal. The seasonal salsas are always tasty and add some flavor to the main dishes, which can sometimes be underwhelming. On weekends, you'll likely have to wait if you don't get there early. One side has a bar so you can drink while you wait. I recommend the SS Ginger—a drink made with their own ginger-infused vodka.

Worker-owned cooperative. No tipping. Creative, inspired, local, healthy, delicious food. Social justice orientation. Amazing!

Boyfriend really liked his food, I was honestly underwhelmed by my burrito, I didn't feel like it had a lot of good flavors going for it. But the salsas and guac we got were very interesting and tasty!

If you're looking for authentic this isn't the place for you, but Casa is great for responsibly and locally sourced food. A creative midwestern twist on Latin cuisine.

Has been a favorite of mine since 1998. Great craft beer selection, amazing food. Good music too.

While nothing compared to the mexican food back in Chicago, this place is wonderful and will always hold a special place in my heart.

Great food served by friendly and knowledgeable staff very popular so you're probably in for a wait but well worth it.

Great locally sourced food, great bar, table service is usually very slow so come when you have a lot of extra time. Service at the bar and cantina for food and drink is decently fast.

Highly recommend! I had the chicken and cream cheese enchilada with blueberry salsa.life changing.

Get the seasonal quesadilla. Always try the seasonal salsa and make sure you also try the roasted garlic enchilada sauce Style salsa.

Reasonable. Staff range from personable, committed establishment contributors (as the place is worker-owned) to blase, almost-rude young people (who obviously do not feel they need to make a effort, as this is a non-tipping restaurant.) Quite casual. Somewhat inconsistent. Very accommodating of regulars.
