Always nice to visit the causeway shop. They always have what I need, now if they would only catch the fish for me

Place is just about empty. Not much to chose from. Bought $3 worth of loose jigs and worker watched me like I was going to steal something while I was counting them. Not a way to keep customers. Won't be back.

Drove out from Cleveland on Saturday morning to rent a boat motor. We arrived at 8am and they couldn't rent us a boat because the dock man did not show up for work. So we went on to Pymatuning Lake and did not have any problems finding a place to rent a boat motor and ended up having a great day of fishing!

I've never been treated so kindly in my life by any bait store attendant prior to arrival and during my visit. Tammy was very helpful over the phone in my search for 2 cycle oil for my boat motor which I forgot to bring prior to leaving Cleveland for my all day adventure. All it takes is one phone call and they will definitely take good care of your boating and fishing needs. Not only was she helpful over the phone, but upon arrival she greeted me and made me feel welcome all over again as at the first instance. My fishing trip unfolded nice and calm once we finished our purchases in the bait store and launched at the ramp. It's well worth the trip and visit to Causeway Sporting Goods. No matter how far away your traveling from Causeway Sporting Goods will not disappoint. Thank You very much Tammy. Five stars to you and your staff.

Been fishing Mosquito Lake Since I was a kid, by far my favorite lake. Causeway bait shop is friendly and courteous to your needs for fishing.

Online says closes at 9: 30, show up at 7: 55 and the lady says they are closing at 8 for winter hours. And she already locked the minnow cage so she couldn't sell them to me despite getting there before closing time.

Love the staff but the new owners.eh! It's been twice now that I've wasted my time and gas coming here from Cleveland to fish and the bait shop was closed well before the usual time. The first time I looked online and it clearly stated 9: 30pm, I pulled in at 7: 45pm and no one was there. After that it seemed to be consistent enough until tonight, again I came home no crappie or bluegill in hand due to the early closing of Causeway Bait Shop. Furthermore, I love the beefsticks they sell inside the case.it's one of my favorite snacks to eat while fishing. Well I stopped getting them once I found dead flies inside the case. Haven't had a beefstick since. I've been going there for over thirty years and it's never been this inconsistent. It's such an incovenience to loyal, longtime customers. I may just stop at Ladue bait shop from now on. Thanks for reading. Good Day!
