Recently had our 40 year high school reunion here, and I think I'm safe to say we all had great time.

Best dinner experience in a while. A little pricey but the ribeye was perfect making it worth the price.

My husband and I have never been to this restaurant before. We have passed it on many occasions and have heard great things about the restaurant from friends. This time was no different we actually stopped in to buy a friend a gift certificate and ended up eating dinner after speaking with the manager. You could tell the manager loved her job and spoke highly of this restaurant, which convinced us to give it a try. We found that the atmosphere (it can be casual or dressy) don't let the white tablecloths and low lighting fool you. Because from what we observed (I was actually in a t-shirt myself) there was no dress code - just a great cozy little restaurant, which included an outdoor patio as well. We found that the food was excellent, especially the steak and baked Mac-n-Cheese (definitely recommend trying both of those). Bottom line was we were made to feel very WELCOME in a restaurant with a nice cozy atmosphere that had awesome steaks and drinks with fantastic service. We definitely will be back - there is a reason they have been in business for 19 years they definitely care about their customers! Thank You for an awesome dinner!

I felt as if I was judged by my old car and personal appearance. Even though I was dressed in clothing that would be acceptable for a job interview I was treated like trash and overcharged. Made me feel as if they did it to keep me from coming back.

We have eaten here twice so far. Food is excellent. Regular menu is alacarte. Entrees are reasonably priced but sides are a little pricey. Good and inexpensive wine list.

Reliable dinner spot in Springfield if you don’t want a chain. Menu is fairly strong and specials rotate. Not really a good spot for large groups or families. We also enjoy To-Go dinners from Cecil and Lime.

The second time we've had dinner at this restaurant. The first time was definitely better. We were there on Cinco de Mayo 23 and the meal was good, but not great. The lamb chips came out inconsistently done. Some well some medium, some med rare. Medium rare is how we ordered them. They were also not dressed with the finishing Balsamic Zinfandel sauce, which is what really put them over the top. Unfortunately, there was no live music on a Friday night, which was disappointing. Drinks, including water, were very slow. It is really a nice restaurant, but this trip was really sub-par.

I've been here several times, but prior to last night its been a long time. I've been driving by for several weeks and saw they have a Wednesday night deal. Finally talked my wife into going, definitely not disappointed. Our server was very pleasant, food was delicious.
I'll be back much sooner than the last time.

May 2023 - I've been wanting to go for a while, trying to get my wife to get on the same page. She was out of town, so I took my son. Food was just as great as before. I made the mistake of sitting outside this time, was just a little chilly for that. Server was friendly-ish I guess, since I hardly saw her after she took our order.

There were 3 tables seated outside, 2 were covered by a server on top of her game. She was attentive and super. Our server was either covering tables inside or just hitting the end of her shift. I'll have to come back to verify the situation.

The Entrance and first impression:

Wife and I tried this place today. Was just a random stop. Knew nothing about this restaurant. Employees were SUPER friendly. Soon as we walked in we could tell we were under dressed. T-shirts, shorts and flip flops. Everyone else was nicely dressed. Even seen Porches in the parking lot (yes, seen several fancy cars in the lot). Yet, We didn't get treated any different. The atmosphere had a "higher class" feel to it. First thing we seen was a man on a white piano playing with another guy singing. Nice thick white table cloths with black fancy folded handkerchiefs on the plate next to a salad and dinner fork. (Pinkies up people!) Our waitress was a sweetheart. We told her we've never been there. She took the time to explain the menu, how their pricing worked, recommended foods ect. We sat outside in the covered patio area. It was getting later and the lighting came on. My wife loved the night air and the lighting. We ordered steaks and had a salad. This place is "Ala-cart". No bundle deals. Everything is separate, yes even salads. My wife is in a wheel chair with a service dog. They didn't give us any grief and accommodated us with a friendly smile.

The food:

The salad had a good flavor to it. We ordered steaks (Ribeye) medium well.
The steaks were cooked well and had a nice flavor to them. No A1 sauce needed. She had a strawberry margarita and said it was very good! I don't drink, so I don't know. I would rank it almost as good as Texas Roadhouse.

Other customers:

Other customers inside were extremely nice. One lady came over and talked to us for a bit. She was so friendly. I'm not use to this and it added a calm peaceful mood.

The Pricing:

Defiantly not a place you could eat at daily unless you got some extra cash. As the pricing and Ala-Cart style ordering makes each meal rather expensive.

Overall:

Overall. I was surprised and enjoyed my experience here. I would recommend it if your looking for a nice place to take a date or just want a fancier place than McDonalds.

Would I go back? Yes.

The scallops over lobster risotto was spectacular! The bruschetta appetizer was also excellent. And the creme brule was, well, amazing. Best food in town!

My office held our Christmas party here. Born and raised in Springfield, I couldn’t believe we have a restaurant with a REAL CHEF! Don’t pass up an opportunity to eat at Cecil & Lime. Very attentive service and the food was amazing!
