Cedar Trace, Westerville OH

Shout out to Zayahna, Nick, and Abbey. I barely need maintenance and if I do, they are here. The maintenance people are kind and make sure things get handled correctly before they leave. They'll redo the whole process if they need to and that's just from the one experience I needed them thus far (thanks Adrian!) PEOPLE ANSWER THE DAMN PHONE HERE. If I need to talk to somebody, somebody will talk to me, and kindly and assuring at that:) This is a nice area with access to plenty. I enjoy how involved the office is with the community, having little events and participating in the festivities. I can't wait to get a feel of the neighborhood when it gets warm. It's beautiful and inviting. If you're looking to apply here, know that the process is quick and easy. I knew if I was approved the same day and I believe in minutes Champion in general has been a pleasure to reside with as a New York transplant to Ohio. These 3 lovely humans just uphold their principles further. So far, so good

This is one of, if not the first time I've ever changed a 1 star review into a 5 star. By the time champion bought out cedar trace, and the hassle in the transition I was fed up with how things had been going. When champion took over they immediately began working on the property. They renovated the unit above me and I decided to stay and give them a chance. Rent immediately went up and although that would upset most people I was okay with it because they in turn also started improving the entire complex. Re-doing all the outside of the buildings and garages, renovating and updating units, fresh and new signage, adding building markers, they began alot of community events to bring everyone together, asking constantly for feedback of what they have done and what they can improve, and they only had a leasing office for a week or two before moving to a temporary site to remodel the entire office. The staff that took over is tenfold better than those here prior and zayahna helped move me into my new apartment and has been there almost around the clock to answer any and all questions I've had and she is a fabulous face of this company and what you can expect when doing business with them. Also every maintenance request I have put in has been answered and completed withing 24 hours of placing it. In closing I'm honored to say 2 months under champions leadership has entirely changed my opinion of living at cedar trace and I HIGHLY recommend this place to anyone looking for a new home. Well done champion, well done.

Previous owners knew their market, valued the apartments justly and provided amazing service to the community.

CHAMPION on the other hand has, made needed physical improvements such as window repairs, and yet not to any standards that warrants a DRASTIC rent increases, added pet fees, paying for trash (we don’t even have individual bins), and adding water bills which weren’t originally required.

Land lord’s job is to take care of building property upkeep such as windows. That’s what they are paid for. The rent increase and removing all the benefits that came with the community is why they are struggling to keep tenants now.

If I have any advice for you it’s this: don’t rent with Champion. This was such a beautiful little community, but people are just numbers to them and now half of my neighbors are gone.

PS. We’ve killed 5 rats in 2 years here btw. With cats…

I have lived here for over a year now. Any requests that have been put in get done super quick! Communication is great and they are always doing updates to the property.

Excellent service, quality and customer service. They always make you feel comfortable and the maintenance has excellent service.

I have been with Cedar Trace for 9+ years, I’m now moving to another property own by Champion, same owners as Cedar Trace. Due to all kinds of up front fees with moving in and out I simply asked, after over 9 years of paying rent, for 1 extra business day to pay my pro rated October rent with Cedar Trace and not have a late fee. I was told after 9 years I’d still have a late fee and cannot have 1 extra business day to pay 6 days worth of pre rated rent. Unbelievably horrendous customer service and honestly upset I even stayed here this long and paid this company money. Look elsewhere

Hady garage broken into 3 times in 2 months, a total of 5 times in 2 years. Had 2 vehicles broken into out in the parking areas. Managment doesn't help, no cameras, no I surance on the garages

Just moved in a week ago and we've been blown away. The apartment was super clean when we walked in, appliances look brand new never used, the property managers have been very friendly and very communicative.

The maintenance is always very speedy and done very well! The office staff is also very friendly and helps right away with any issues. The apartment itself is nice for the most part, the kitchen/dining area is a little small, but that’s my only complaint.

I loved living here! Debbie in the office was so kind & helped me with so much! This was my first apartment & she has been there to answer every question I’ve had & teach me new things! I 100% recommend living here!

Staff is very friendly and polite! Super easy application process, and not a bunch of overwhelming and unnecessary fees!

I've lived here for about 2 years, and it's always been a very good experience. Maintenance issues are addressed promptly, and the office staff are wonderful, and polite. Highly recommend Cedar Trace.

I lived at cedar trace for 2 years and had nothing but a positive experience. Leasing office were terrific. They had a pleasant attitude. Neighbors were very nice and quiet. Meintanance addressed the issues within a day. I would definitely stay if I didn’t have to move out the city.

I’ve been renting here for the past 2 years and have had a wonderful experience. Debbie and Jessika in the leasing office are always helpful and friendly. Any time I’ve made a maintenance request, they’ve come and resolved it within 24 hours or soon after. I have rented with several different complexes, but Cedar Trace has by far been the best!
