Alicia was very helpful and responded very quickly to emails and phone calls about my apartment. I definitely would recommend her and this apartment complex.

Awful maintenance crew. They ignore work orders. They came to fix only one thing listed on my work order and refused to do anything else. No communication about any hold ups or why it takes so long. They barely attend to upkeep in common areas. I’ve notified them at least 4 times about issues and it’s been several weeks and STILL nothing. They don’t attend to the dog park. They haven’t taken out a trash can by their office in over a month and it’s overflowing.

Cedarwood Village is my home 2+ years. Apartments are really nice, spacious and affordable and with the recent improvements/renovations/cleaning/flooring, I would probably stay for more time. Recently, I requested for a garage and Alicia assigned me one in no time and also waived my garage rent for December. Big shoutout to Alicia who helped me in this process.
I would highly recommend cedarwood for anyone who needs a beautiful place in the valley.

Place is pathetic. I can find some dumpsters down on Arlington Road that would be more convenient

Just moved in a week ago and the leasing agent, Alicia Drushal, was above and beyond helpful. There have also been 2 minor repair issues that were fixed in less than 24 hours. Tons of restaurants and bars and stores nearby, and as big as the complex is, it is surprisingly quiet.

I toured part of the property, namely the club house. The grounds and buildings are very well maintained and clean with modern decor. Additionally, the staff was friendly and professional!

Very nice place to live! The office staff is always so friendly and the maintenance staff is top tier! I lived here for 3 years and never once had a complaint. I would highly recommend Cedarwood Village to anyone looking for a great place to live with a management company that cares about their tenants! 5 STARS!

Two words. Slum lord. We had an electrical fire in one of the main electrical panels in our building due to old wiring and outdated equipment. When this occurred the maintenance workers refused to call the fire department even tho the building was filled with smoke? ! The only reason they did was because I told them if they didn’t I would. Power has been out to our building for three days and still no end in sight. Management does not care that we are left in the dark and forced to take cold showers due to this outage. I also have kids that stay with me. Obviously things do break in life, and I understand that. But I’ve spoken to management multiple times and no one has any answers, Nor do they care how you get through the outage. Also the apartments are infested with bugs. We even had a period of time where there were roaches living in the building. If I were you I would stay far away from this place!

Cedarwood Village is ON TOP of preparing for the new Merriman Valley development plan! Our entire parking lot just got resurfaced, new signage is popping up, and lots of other details are starting to be tended to. It's super exciting to watch it all start to come together!

All of this progress is being brought to you by our awesome property manager, Sarah Treen, who had previously been a leasing consultant for the property.
My fiancé and I have been living here for over 3 years now, and we can attest that Sarah gets things done and goes out of her way to make sure that residents are taken care of. She has helped us from day 1: from an out-of-state move to ensuring that maintenance work we need done is completed and satisfactory. She is also incredibly understanding and pleasant to work with. We know that our complex is in good hands and believe that things are only going to improve from here!

As for the apartment complex itself, we are very happy to call it home. It's a very scenic area with lots of trees and foliage. There is so much diversity here! I love living in an inclusive environment. We have never had any conflict with any neighbors; most people are friendly and just keep to themselves. There are plenty of opportunities to meet and socialize with other residents, though. Being in the heart of the valley, Cedarwood Village gives you access to many businesses and restaurants (most are locally-owned) and walking/biking trails that are all within walking distance. We have city bus stops, too, so it's entirely possible to get around Akron without a car while living here. Very dog-friendly. 2 community swimming pools. A workout room and spacious community room in the office building. We also have access to fiber-optic internet here! Central air, large hot water tanks, dishwashers.
Laundry is shared, and the machines are really nice; laundry room maintenance has been a bit of an issue in our building, but that is also very dependent on other residents' willingness to help keep things clean and clean up after themselves. Water/sewer and trash removal is well taken care of: residents chip in for it, and services are provided. Noise hasn't really been an issue for us, but we do not live near the bars in Liberty Commons; our neighbors are generally mindful of their noise levels as well. The loudest thing we've heard is dogs barking from time to time.

The layout of these apartments is very functional, compared to others that we have rented in the past. We have a 2br 1.5bath, and it's spacious. Closet spaces are placed wisely, and we even have 2 walk-ins. A galley-styled kitchen isn't my first choice, but that's what's standard in most apartments -it works best if you know how to utilize storage space efficiently.
Our cats love watching birds and other critters outside through the windows.

Our apartment has had its issues, but they were easily resolved. These buildings were constructed in the 1960s, I believe, so they do show some signs of wear. Insects can be an issue, but we have a quarterly pest-control service now, and that has helped a lot. Water leaks have happened (windows, floor spots, etc.), but we live on the 1st floor so it's basically a basement- issues, again, were easily resolved. Maintenance does its best to tend to necessary repairs and general maintenance; whenever I have put work orders in, someone shows up usually on the same day, sometimes within a few hours of my request. Nothing major has broken in our apartment (oven, refrigerator, water heater, etc.), except the AC the summer we moved in, but that was fixed and we have not had any problems since.

Horrible place to live if you actually care about your apartment.
Management doesn’t care about any issues you might have in the apartment.
Maintenance men fix nothing! They bandaid everything, then hate to come back when work orders are constantly put in.
The pools are disgusting and stay closed. They have pool security to make sure residents don’t have too many guest but no pool cleaner. The apartments are all electric so expect $250-300 monthly electric bill. The water is moldy- even stinks when being ran and turns brown from time to time. Overall you get what you pay for.
4/10 Wouldn’t Recommend

All I can say is WOW!
Big big thank you to Alicia for helping us during this apartment hunt. Me and my husband loved the hospitality and understanding. She went above and beyond explaining everything to us and always being there with quick answers. I really recommend moving here and talking with her for your best experience

I had a great experience here! I was given all the information I needed pretty quickly and all the ladies were very pleasant to talk to! They answered all the questions I had. I can’t wait for move in day!

Beware they tell you it is a 50 dollar application fee. But, after you put in the paperwork they want $400, before you are approved. 150 is refundable.
Overall they are charging you $250 to apply. I would gladly pay 200 at the end with 50 for the background check and credit. This seems like a method to maintain their sales staff.
I stopped my application it failed the sniff test.
