Avoid this business at all costs. Will ruin your furniture. Very unorganized don’t expect them to call when work is completed. Finish is sloppy with drops and one part shiny and another dull. Did not match the original color of the refinished piece. And NEVER told me that it would not match when work was started here are the before (lighter) and after (darker) pictures

Bad news. Wood dinning room table was returned much worse than when we took it in. Actually wrong colors in different spots and finish on table was different in different areas. Also work is not guaranteed because we still had to pay. Now I am a fair person so if I take it in someplace else and they tell me they cannot refinish this correctly I will repost. I am afraid there may be more damage now than before.

Do not go to this shop. I took my 4 chairs in to have the cane seats fixed. Dropped them off in January I went to pick them up in August the seats weren't stained the 4th chair was not finished. I paid for them which was $300.00 more then the estimated. The owner was to drop off my 4th chair. Two weeks later I ended up going and picking it up. They have a bunch of furniture there that they don't know who it belongs to and the owner just figures the owners will call him. So unprofessional! DO NOT TAKE YOUR FURNATURE TO THEM!

Not only was the quality of the work well below subpar, but his work ethic was nonexistent. I had to call multiple times to ask if my door was finished (he had it in his possession for 2.5 months) and each time I had to remind him who I was, what my door looked like and what work we had agreed upon to be done. When he finally brought it back, it was not sanded well and the stain was uneven and splashed onto the glass. It looked as if he literally threw some stain on it the day he brought it back to my house. I was trying to support a local business but I regret it.

My goodness, the shop owner is really one of the kindest people to work with. He did everything he could to turn my older brokenantique secretary.into a beautiful piece. It was falling apart and so fragile, and he secured everything back into place. The color is exactly what I hoped for. Thank you.

Some of the other reviews scared me, but it looks like they have almost no reviews, and everything about this experience was wonderful for us.

Used Central Ave. Strip to strip and repaint 6 interior doors. Doors were returned to me in absolutely terrible condition. Portions of the door showed bare wood. Other areas were as rough as sandpaper. Painting on the doors in most cases was full of brush marks and swirls. The doors need to be completely redone. In fact I am now concerned that the doors are in such bad shape I will need to replace them. Overall a terrible experience.

I called this shop a number of times over months and the recording always said the voicemail box was full so I couldn't leave a message. I also sent two emails to the listed email address on the website and never received a response. Why would I want to do business with a company like this? I don't. I'm currently looking elsewhere for someone to stain a light colored chest of drawers but unfortunately, there doesn't seem to be anyone in the greater Toledo area to do this. I hate to pay to haul it up to the Detroit area, but at least a company I contacted there wants the business. Central Avenue Strip Shop obviously does not.

My wife and i are very happy with the kitchen cabinets they refinished for us. Nice guys, trustworthy.
