17Maple syrup festival is the BEST. All you can eat pancakes with real maple syrup every Sunday in March. This is our right of passage into spring. We have been goung to this event for years and really enjoy it!
I have been coming here since I was little with my great grandmother and mother. We would drive from Bedford for a special day at the Apple Butter Festival. I'm happy to say that I only live 3 miles away and get to enjoy the beauty of this place daily!
Beautiful outside history center. Many activities during open season.
Watch for eagles flying overhead!
Great for a one-day trip.
Great historical village! It has an awesome blacksmith shop with lots of live demonstrations. Lots of shows during the summer.
Nicely laid out series of old buildings. Most had a little shop. The apple butter festival was enjoyable. It is the 2nd weekend in October every year.
Went to a festival. Couldn't believe they changed $8 per person to get in and then all it was was vendors selling stuff. Had a nice time with friends but wouldn't bother to go there again!
I've been coming here every year for the annual apple butter festival, the second weekend of October, and it is a wonderfully charming little historical treasure. They have all the little historical homes and shops open to visitors for viewing, and a craft show in the big barn. The smell of the open fires with cauldrons of apple butter boiling down over them is one of the best smells in the world.
Went for annual Racoon Festival. Had a nice relaxing time enjoying the music and scenery of the landscape while learning a bit about some history.
Brings back pioneer times in Ohio's first settled town. I particularly loved the evocative saw mill. Racoon music festival was a magical day.
A beautiful venture back into time. Original buildings, history lessons abound and that awesome Baltimore and Ohio railroad caboose!
Century Village is a beautiful place with historic buildings that were moved in to form this unique view of our past.
What a fantastic nugget of Ohio history! Great place for family outings, sometimes the event admissions are free, and free parking. My hat's off to the supporters and volunteers who keep this going.
This little village is a treasure to explore. It is perched on the highest point in the area and the view out into the valley is spectacular. Try visiting on Sat or Sun when they have tours.
This is the second year I've taken my class for a field trip and I still learn something new every time!
I really enjoy this place. During syrup season they have pancake breakfasts. Must be in tour to go in most of the buildings. A unique view of the area over a pasture. Blacksmith allows people to join their group and possibly use the forge. Inquire with them or the main office/store for information.
Beautiful village right near the Burton square. Worth a trip. Check on when it is open first though.
My family and I had a great weekend at the civil War reenactment at century village in Burton Ohio. I participated and had a great time. The village is a beautiful place a great place for families to explore our past. The staff was absolutely wonderful there.
