China Buffet, Kettering OH

This place is pretty hit or miss. I come in every once in awhile oh, and sometimes it's a pretty run-of-the-mill average Chinese food fare. Sometimes though I come in and nothing tastes quite right like everybody everything's been sitting a real long time. Today I came in and the sweet-and-sour chicken was dry and hard the dumplings we're tough on the outside and looked kind of raw fish on the inside like not completely undercooked but kind of undercooked. Soft serve ice cream machine has been out of chocolate for several months at this point. The service is always very nice. And it's relatively clean it's just, the food is a very inconsistent quality.

This place does not even deserve a star! We had 8 people and were charged without being told, $8.00 for the table to be cleaned and we got there at 7: 45 pm and the food was either empty or stale and tasted like it had been sitting out all day. The food had to be the WORST Chinese food I ever had. Being new to the area we have been searching for a good Chinese buffet and hoped this one was it, but $70.00 later was a BIG mistake! I don't like to complain, but felt the need to leave all 8 of our opinions to the owner at the front desk. She claimed herself, that the food was old, but said I should have come earlier in the day yet, they are open until 10: 00pm. I said she needs to let people know that they charge $1.00 a person to clean the table and not just smack it on the bill. It was dirty, unflavorful, plain and the meat was hard, dry and or chewy. The owner lastly stated that if I need to complain then not to come back and that shes been opened for 24 years and looking at over 20 empty tables on a Friday night I have to question how?
