I may be use to one type of fufu
But to me this one is par to less than average, talking to the first guy he said it was made from boxed mash potatoes and it tastes like it was.
The second guy looked a bit offended when he addressed the issue and I said boxed mash potatoes and I didn't like it. He exclaimed in a polite way that it was yams. I expressed that it didn't taste as such, he brought me a second one to no surprise still tasted the same. The sauces were amazing, which I suppose is what really counts when eating fufu. Still I believe the first guy based off taste and texture.never the less I had the rabbit and my boyfriend had the catfish. Rabbit is a hard meat to cook so it was a little dry but the flavor was delicious. Catfish was perfectly fried
For me the prices are a little to high end for what you get with everything AL la cart
But I understand the concept of wanting it to be a fine dining place. I see the potential and hope that this place gets more business. They deserve a couple resturants (in my opinion if they drop the prices or at least add some veggies to certain dishes) then it would be worth an80 dollar check for lunch.
The service was excellent
I do not understand being charged a check out fee on top of taxes. But hey make your money! You just won't be getting mine as often as id like. I hope that no one reads this as a bad review its not intended that way

Here from outta town. Terrible service. Waitress did not come check on us unless we walked to her. My food was cold when it was delivered to me. I am highly disappointed!

I had a really good meal and drinks on my first visit. The bartender let me know what drink specials are available. She was also very knowledgeable on the menu. She found out what I did not like to eat and gave me recommendations based on my taste.

Amazing service, authentic African food. Amazing atmosphere. Alex is one of the best bartenders I've ever had.

Meat pie & the rabbit we're amazing

Let me start off by saying Sunday Aug 27th 2023, we walked in to trap music with foul language. We thought, oh, maybe that's to entertain the bar crowd.

The greeter was very kind and polite as well as our waitress.

We first ordered the meat pie and the veggie pie. The veggie pie was edible, but the meat pie was drowning in what tasted like olive oil or peanut oil. It was pouring out of the patty all over the plate and had a horrible taste. I thought this was just how Africans cooked.

We then ordered the Poulet Roti at $22, which was maybe the portion size of an average breast and a wing with a mushroom sauce. Way overpriced!

The Poulet Roti was SUPER oily but was hard, dry, and crunchy at the same time. Again, I figured maybe this is how Africans like their chicken. After dipping it in the sauce and trying it different ways, I concluded that it was old stale meat and not smoke dried.

This food was so old that I'm here in bed tossing and turning with a stomach ache, writing this review, knowing the cause was this restaurants food as that was all I ate other than drinking water.

We also ordered the Yassa chicken, which had a really good and unique taste with fresh vegetables, but the chicken pieces were mostly bone, fat, and cartilage with barely any meat.

We tried the Jolof rice wich was excellent and a side order of spinach that was fresh and wonderful!

Although the restaurant has a smooth, peaceful vibe, the meat is TERRIBLE and extremely overpriced. These are con artist meal deals.

I suggest only ordering veggie meals as that's what was actually really good.

Their meat is trash. Well, their chicken was, and that's where it's at. In the trash. I wish I could get a refund, but hey, I gave them the benefit of the doubt and ended up tossing and turning in bed.

We won't be returning, and I hope those who choose to patronize this place will have a better experience than we did!

My first time trying Authentic African food and I wasn’t disappointed. Drove 40 mins to get the food! Will be back to try other menu items!

Every time I come here the food, atmosphere and service is amazing. I always recommend this restaurant to people looking for a phenomenal meal. I have taken a number of people to eat here all with varying dietary needs and pickiness and always hear how delicious their meal was. A top pick for me and my family.

Service depends on the day and on the time … sometimes good, sometimes awful. The food is consistently tasty.
However, the vibe is always good & the live music nights are fun!

Don't let the negative reviews stop you from eating here. This place food is "hell a good! Veggie pie is delicious! Lamb chops are delicious! I will be back again and again because you have so much to choose from. Healthy real food served here.

The food was amazing, customer service was phenomenal, EJ and the band was crazy good! The band played the best of the best! EJ sang his entire tail off! Hit every note! Atmosphere was phenomenal! Crowd was fun and dancing was great! I had a time last night!

My first time eating here and the food was great. Love trying good food and this place didn't let me down.

Literally one of my favorite spots in Cleveland. Not just because I designed and built it lol
