Church of the Open Door, Elyria OH

We visited on Christmas Eve! John was so helpful with greeting and parking, walking us out! Thank you! My M. S.patient is in an electric wheelchair! We're not greeted nice at other places!

I will give a 5 star because this church has by far the best sermons I ever experienced. Pastor Jim is without doubt borne to teach the word. So if you wish to grow closer to Jesus, this is the sermons you should listen to. My campus was Avon lake, and though for other reasons I do not participate in this church anymore, I still listening to the sermons online on a regular basis. Thank you for all the great teaching, I learned so much, and I'm growned so much in my relationship with Jesus.

Attending the Christian event at the Church of the Open Door with Cleveland Browns players was truly remarkable. The atmosphere was filled with positivity, and the players' generosity in giving autographs added a special touch. They provided food was not only delicious but also reflected the warmth of the gathering. The event showcased a perfect blend of faith, community, and the spirit of the Cleveland Browns. Kudos to Church of the Open Door for hosting such a memorable and uplifting experience.

Me and my husband just moved to Ohio recently found this church and a group and have never felt more called to the lord this church is like a family and they’ve accepted us with open arms can’t wait to continue my journey at this church and with Christ

5 months ago today I started a journey that I’ve always felt the need to do and be apart of, just never knowing how to make it come to fruition. I started going and being involved with church of the open door. Going that first Sunday all alone I was filled with anxiety of if I was going to enjoy it, if I could find a spot where I fit in, and find a group of people to make into a second family. I wanted to go in and just fly under the radar to feel it out. But to my dismay the greeters at the front door swooped me up and took me over to the welcome desk. And from that moment on I knew that I was at a second home for myself. In the past four months I’ve met some amazing people who I’m proud to call my friends and so many people have helped to make me feel welcomed and a sense of belonging. I truly believe after the year my family had in 2022 God is trying to pull me in close and there was no better place for that to happen than at Open Door. From Sunday service, helping in children’s ministry, and going to my life group every Tuesday night it’s hard to imagine how my life looked just a few short months ago before I began this journey. I’m so excited to see what the Lord has in store for me.

Went to an 8th grade girls basketball game. Nice little gym, their girls played hard but when it was all over everybody was still friends. Nice place and one of the few to have a concession stand open.
