Cilantro Thai & Sushi Restaurant, Akron OH

Was disappointed with this restaurant that we just visited for the first time. We asked to sit in the sushi bar area and was told no it’s closed, ok, then people after us were allowed to sit in that area…
Our server Mike was very pleasant and helpful, but everything was dirty, scummy. Mike himself, clothing and hair was dirty from top to bottom and the qr sign on table was filthy along with the soy sauce bottles that were brought to table. One bottle was clogged and could t even be used.
I don’t know that we will visit again.
Disappointed in Akron…

Their customer service is Terrible. Host is extremely rude. It takes forever to get a table and the food prices are high. After my last experience with restaurant I will never go back. Buyer be ware.

Always good and reliable choice for great Thai style and Japanese style food with good quality sushi (as far as inland restaurants go) lots of attention to detail on all fronts and prompt service. I strongly recommend the bento boxes (pictured), Singapore noodles, the yellow curry pad Thai, Thai style chicken wings appetizer and/or the cilantro sushi roll special - pro tip, when ordering the salad (which comes with many meals) ask for the ginger dressing (which they won’t readily offer) as opposed to their house dressing which is heavy heavy heavy on the onions (unless you love onions)

This is my favorite restaurant in Akron, I've been going here for years. I appreciate that they have so many vegetarian options and they actually cook their tofu properly, unlike some restaurants. My favorite things to order: tofu rama, tofu Thai spicy, and shiitake tempura.

Excellent food, trendy digs. Glad they kept the spicy-ness level for each menu item, but I could tell other spices and flavorings (i.e, Thai and holy basil) were muted for mainstream appeal. Great first date venue.

Love this restaurant! It is moderately priced, but the sushi is excellent! I had the cilantro roll and the dragon roll as well as sashimi. I was not disappointed in the least with the quality of any of the dishes. The presentation was gorgeous, and perfectly paired with the flavor of each dish. The feel of the restaurant is upscale casual, and the staff was very inviting and friendly. If you are looking for a great place for sushi in downtown Akron, this is it!
Update: I work in the downtown area and this is a must for most of our outside dining. Definitely worth a visit.

We'll definitely be back, great cuisine and within easy walking distance of Akron Childrens Hospital, Canal Park and the Civic Theater. Makes for a great time downtown.

Love this place, food is always hot and fresh. Wife range of Thai, Asian, and japanese menu items.

Very good, quick and reasonably priced. I ordered the Red Curry-Gang Dang. Delicious!
We had a very nice dinner. The duck curry was tender, spicy and had a nice crunch of the skin! My girlfriend had the Cilantro roll and she loved it! It was not crowded for a Friday night. The server was knowledgeable about the menu and drinks.

Very delicious food and sushi. Excellent drinks, and peaceful atmosphere. It's pretty pricey, but what isn't these days?

Took my mother to dinner. The place was a bit cold. But she’s a picky eater and we both liked the food although we’re not experts on this type of cuisine. Will try again!

My first time having Thai food and I love it! The waiter was very helpful answering questions and with suggestions. The food was too notch for everyone at our table! The atmosphere is enjoyable as well. We did have to wait for a table, but they sent a text when it was ready so we could walk around a bit during our wait. I would highly recommend this restaurant.

VERY good sushi and delicious deserts. I've enjoyed introducing many friends to this restaurant, but my last few visits were not what they used to be. They've been out of certain deserts, salad dressings, and even lettuce. More frustrating is that they no longer provide menus. My phone had died so the waiter said I should borrow my friend's to view the menu. Ignoring the fact that is not her place to offer the use of someone else's $600 device, I don't want paw at someone else's personal device. The next time I was able to get a menu, but they do not have a drinks menu. I ordered a happy hour martini per the waitress' recommendation. Nice price, great taste, but it was sooooo weak, not even worth the money I just had to laugh. I'll be back when you can bother to print out copies of your menu.

Always get the cilantro fried rice, tried the crab fried rice this time and wasn't disappointed. The hot wings is a must try.
