Cincinnati Division Office by D.R. Horton

Really interested in one of their homes. Unfortunately I could only see it during their appt only time since I live out of state. It was impossible to reach amyone.sadly I can see someone sitting in the sales office infront of me but I still can't reach anyone.

Almost purchased a home from this outfit many years ago then decided they were not professional enough nor was the quality of the product worth what they were asking. With over 20 years in the construction industry it's easy to spot problems when I see them.

Our first time home buying experience has been awful with D. R. Horton. When my husband and I did our walk-through before closing, Joe, the superintendent, was completely dismissive and rude to me, and told my husband that I was being "picky". When concrete was poured for our driveway, someone (most likely a worker or contractor) stepped all throughout the driveway. We wanted this repaired as this is a brand new construction home and we want the quality that we are paying for. Joe had someone come out and grind down the boot prints, only making them more noticeable. We went weeks without hearing an update on when the driveway would be fixed. I finally was able to contact Joe's supervisor, Greg. Greg simply stated that the driveway, as well as our other issues, would be addressed at our 30 day punch out. Our 30 day punch out came and the guy who come out to fix the issues agreed with the work that was done is lazy and would not be acceptable to him. Our kitchen island is crooked and needs to be taken off of the slab and adjusted. The bathroom vent in our kids bathroom is not properly secured, and was not able to be fixed at our punch out and pink insulation continuously falls all over. I've reached out to Joe and he continues to never reply to me, but will message my husband. I explained this to Greg, who said he would talk to Joe about it. Joe then asked me for my email address stating "it's a better way to communicate". I provided my email address and he continued to text my husband. I sent an email to Joe and Greg asking for an update and letting them know of issues that still need to be addressed and I was not replied to for 2 days (business days as well). I replied to email stating my frustrations and telling Greg that he needs to work on the issues himself or escalate it further. Greg replied withing 30 minutes.
I do not recommend anyone to purchase with D. R. Horton. They are more worried about getting houses up as quickly as they can, than they are about doing good quality work and fixing any issues for the families who are in homes.
