We saw Taking of the Shrew, and it was fantastic! The costume and set design was vibrant, with actors perfectly cast and performing perfectly.
The venue is intimate, allowing plenty of aides and plenty of exchanges with the audience. We had the signature drink, the "Shrewdriver, " which was quite tasty.
Located in downtown Cincinnati, the building is sleek and modern. I recommend valet parking: for a nominal fee all the guesswork is taken out of parking.
We will definitely be back for other performances. This is Shakespeare as fine as it gets, and as fine as I've seen.

Great small theater. Not a bad seat in the house. Acting is always top notch. Not just Shakespeare so be sure to see what’s on.

This is my favorite theater in the area. Not a single bad seat. Contemporary settings of Shakespeare and excellent productions of other playwrighters.

While I totally hated "A Funny Thing Happened to the Way to the Forum" due to the awful direction and total misunderstanding of burlesque techniques for successful comedic results, I truly enjoyed "Every Christmas Story Ever Told ". It was fun, delightful, and hilarious.

Amazing company, exciting show, and a beautiful new theatre! We have been subscribers for over 20 years and are always astounded.

I went for a field trip and we went to see the living dead, the actors played the characters really well, I would recommend it.

The Living Dead was the best play I've seen in the last few years. A couple of excellent jump scares.
Beautiful theater!

I've been attending productions at Cincy Shakes since 2018. I am so thankful we have them in the area. There's not a better evening out to be had in Cincinnati!

Great location, beautiful theatre with many Insta spots for taking memorable pictures, on the corner from Washington Park and Music Hall

Beautiful, clean, well-laid-out seating and floorplan. As a larger person, I greatly appreciated the choices in seat-width selection, and the seats were very comfortable.

We watched Pride & Prejudice and it was fantastic!

Overall, highly recommend!

Very nice facility and the performances are well done. However, there is a complete lack of security for your vehicle in the area. Multiple nextdoor were broken into and one was stolen. Recommend using a ride service to access instead of bringing your personal vehicle.

Always well done performances
Love the new theater- not a bad seat in the house
Like being able to order intermission beverages ahead so you don't have to stand in line waiting

Exceptionally good theater. Great mix of Shakespeare and other classics. Always a great evening. Can't wait to see them in their new home next year (2017-2022).

This company is well known for their excellent work, but tonight's performance of Hamlet is among finest I have had the privilege to experience. These artists present an engaging take on the material, crafting something uniquely their own that embodies the myriad perspectives in and of the work. A true advancement of their art, and an experience for which I offer the sincerest gratitude.

So let me say this. WOW!
My most recent visit was to see Hamlet, which has been one of my least favorite Shakespearean plays. I do not want to give any spoilers, so I will speak broad terms. It was an interpretation not the full (ponderous) play. But the power of this presentation really gives the audience the sense of participation and it was hard at times not to interact with the tide.
It should be noted that I came to Shakespeare through opera. Until then the plays were just words.
"Hamlet thy name is woman" was a catchy phrase, but I believe that it reduces the power of this presentation, and the hard work and skill of the actors.
There is not a bad seat in this theater. All presentations, that I have attended, have been imaginative and excellent.
